How strange. The Rangers are advertising on clyde, season tickets for sale, for the LAST THREE HOME GAMES. How can this be? Are we not constantly told piebrox is sold out? Only this morning chuckie was banging on about it. I find this very interesting. green jhedi

This seemed to go largely unnoticed in the whole Rangers £1m loss per month thing

"Nobody expects the club to be making a big profit in the first year, " Stockbridge (Brian Stockbridge, Rangers finance director) told Radio Clyde.

Isn't the official party line that the company is in its first year and the club is 140 years old?

Surprise surprise the deady bears are slating NL on their page saying he is an angry aggresive man etc.

Try to reply and shocker their ed won't post it.

How bitter can they be?

If I was a deady bear I would be more concerned about the money that isn't coming in to cover costs. I would be pushing for answers rather than cooing all over every word that comes out CG's mouth.

And then not forgetting the standard of their football punt and hope. can't change tactics mid game etc.

Once I seen these insignficant problems sort then I would possible talk about another teams manager.

Gesture of sportsmanship at Juventus Stadium.

Fans of different teams changed their colors scarves in Sadium Juventus. Admirable gesture of sportsmanship, despite the clear superiority Juventus demonstrated in this tie.

Credit to the fans again. Proud to be a Celt.

Right been a topic at work today who was the better manager:

Lennon/Oneil

Right it's hard to call but overall not just what's been won etc

Oneil: ufea final league cups etc brought us Larrson/Sutton/Lennon etc etc but also left us in a bit of do do. Oneil was a money manager

Lennon: brought us from the near grave* took control was sink or swim, ok bottle has went in cups & league bit has spend less than 15m since the start and unless major injuries we will make that back with a few sell on players

Just though it would be interesting, even throw in strachen too the mix too

* bearing in mind Mowbray has more loaned players than a rangers EBT scheme

As I post this I am listening to green on talksh**e. This is utterly astonishing. "i published interm reports and it showed we have £21m cash in the bank" Keys responds with "astonishing". Not once has there been a mention of the burn rate of around £1m per month. He has now claimed they have "5 million fans". Still no figures on the kit/sponsor deals and a real bit if fudging on the name of the stadium when sports direct kick in. What I find most troubling of all, and I have said this before, is the constant abuse of Doncaster and Reagan. Now I am not saying these two are visionary giants of the game. But an SFA member (associate) constantly criticizing them? You might think he would be taken to task.

Does green think his sway over the less enlightened fans of the The rangers think he has the right to say or do what he pleases? Now I did not expect any Frost - Nixon moments from a couple of sex pests but this is an advert for green AGAIN. Is anybody ever going to question this guy properly. Just claimed that the name ibrox WILL be in the name. so that's that unfudged! Have to turn off now as this is pretty sickening. green jhedi

Just had an e-mail from my nephew who's mate was in Turin last night. No trouble and a great atmosphere between the fans. Never felt threatened once, and it seems a lot of Juve fans came to the "Celtic" bars for a sing song! The Italian press are fulsome in their praise of the support last night, they are astounded at the standing ovation the Juve fans gave them as it is unheard of for them, so it seems the name of our great club has been enhanced once again. Well done to you all Bhoys and Ghirls!

I did see some negative press regarding a plane and some drunk punters being ordered off. I assume tomorrow it will be how passengers "cowered in terror" as FIVE DRUNKS " brought terror to the plane". The true story it seems is less than sensational. Drunk, would not shut up, taken off the plane. that's it it seems. No fighting, no rampage through the streets, no TV's smashed. Anyone else heard first hand stories?. green jhedi

Went through every emotion possible - as you do when you love Celtic - and my disappointment and frustration was lightened by the superb Celtic support who just never stopped singing and chanting all night.
We had a fantastic CL campaign and after I howled at each chance we squandered and despaired at the simple errors made; that are so severely punished at this highest level of football, I settled myself in the thought of how my famous team had given their all and I could ask no more of a young team with so much expected of them, but with so much potential ahead.
I do hope Mathews and Wanyama are not out too long as their importance is so obvious to our progress.
On the subject of Wanyama; it seems he will leave us in the summer with possibly 3 or 4 others?
It will be sore to break up the team but NL will have learned a lot too about where we need to strengthen and who he can rely on when things get tough.
There were a few of the Bhoys off their game and in truth we are in a bad patch of form with the defeat at Motherwell and the scrappy game at St Mirren an example. But we must go on and win the double or all the good work done up to now will be spoiled.

Hope Lennon sticks to his transfer policy of buying young relatively unknown players as far too many times in the past we bought players that most of us had heard of and they've been disappointing however I do think our scouting system is 2nd to none

Just like to say how proud I am to be a celtic supporter, just watched video clips of fans exchanging scarfs with juve fans home and away, not many teams do that against italian opposition, plus the support home and away has been amazing! Green brigade bring a atmosphere no other ground could replicate!

Have been listening to some opinions about Lenny possibly leaving in the summer (think they started with that well known SPL expert from Sly Sports Ray Wilkins). Personally I think he'll stay because he's not daft and knows full well that between the fans and the boards support he is far from likely to get anything like it anywhere else. The only thing I could maybe see hampering that is the clubs ability to transform next season. Out of the first team regulars and fringes I can see Forster, Izaguirre, Rogne, poss Ambrose, McCourt, Wanyama, Miku, Hooper, Lassad, Bangura and Murphy leaving in the summer. Now I know some of those we won't be crying over but some are key players in key positions that might be difficult to adequately replace. I just worry that if indeed he can't replace with equal ability or better then he might see the club as going backwards and jump ship. Bearing in mind it took some of these guys 2 full seasons to get to the dizzy heights of beating Barca the strategy of buying young and developing might only work for a couple of positions rather than the full list unless we take the gamble of potentially being another couple of years before we get back to our current position. Hope of course we manage to keep one or 2 and strengthen of course.

A big Congratulations to the Bhoys and Neil Lennon is due from all of us. Sure we got done over by Juventus but we had a great run and had a great time excepting the final two games of course. If we cast our minds back 8 or so months the talk was that Helsinki were a better outfit than us! That Helsingborgs would be unlucky not to progress past Celtic due to our inexperienced young team. Well we did both of them over home and away 4-0 4-0 aggregate scores I think. Were we that much better than them probably not; were Juventus 5 goals better than us? I would say definitely not but that's football. The same football Gods that smiled on us when we beat Barca have glanced away for now at least. The big question is not about how we missed out on a quarter final place in 2013, it is much more about what happens now. I personally feel this will be a time of financial consolodation and the team will be sold off raising perhaps another 20m. A couple more new boys will be brought in and the renewal begins again. The big problem with this approach is that potentially we run the risk of getting rid of of our core players and then there is no spine of the team to build from, the good thing is that young boys are given their chance to perform and develop. AN interesting and exciting 2013-14 season awaits, but let's not forget we have a possible and very probable double to look forward to before this season ends. "For its a grand old team to play for". Just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Rangers, Motherwell, Hearts, Hibs, Dundee Utd, Gretna and Quuen of The South. Your ridiculous attempts in europe over the past 5 seasons have resulted in this years Champions having to play 3 qualifiers next season. Disgraceful

With Wayne Rooney set to leave Man Utd, how many folks would like to see him in the hoops? Part exchange for Wanyama perhaps? Everyone knows that Rooney is Celtic daft, so would it be so impossible?

Bear here, just thought I would say well done on a good CL run. I have to say I thought Lennon was very gracious and gave a great interview.

Not getting at Lennon but I wondered about the team line up tonight. I watched for many years when Smith seemed incapable of making a straight change. If your right back is out, he seemed to make three changes when one would do. He would put a midfielder in there and then had to change the midfield which changed the attack. I wish if a full back was out they would replace him with another full back. I thought Wanyama playing at centre half was strange, thought he did ok but felt the midfield suffered.

Anyway credit where credit is due, well done.

It is sad however to see where the game has gone when the last 16 is a success, and it was, I'm not having a dig. I unfortunately am old enough to remember the night when Celtic played Inter in the European Cup and the same night at Ibrox Rangers played in the semis of the Cup Winners Cup. There must have been more than 150,000 people watched those games. In fact I remember getting home and the Celtic game went to extra time and penalties I think and was on telly. I won't remind you of the results that night but allow a suffering fan to remember those good times.

does anyone really beleive the Rangers want to sign john daly an southern irishman seems like a desparate attempt by the Rangers to deflect the bigoted singing at berwick backed by the msm again as for jim duffy he has never got over being binned by billy mcneil for injuring dom sullivan during a training session in the eighties

also any fast tracking of Rangers means the end of scottish football for me and my 4 family season books

Somewhere in Glasgow tonight a young boy asked his dad.
"Dad do you think we will play Barcelona, Benfica and Juventus next season?"
His dad will reply "Naw son, we're The Rangers". lol. Drewzybhoy.
