Afternoon Ed and All, Bit quiet with no football eh? But I seen the development squad got turned over a bit with the Chelsea development equivalent mate :- (

The one big plus in the game was again Leo Fasan who saved it from being a bigger scoreline!

Surely it is about time we give the lad a chance especially as CG has had a wee dip in form?

Last season against the Pars I seen the bhoy save a penalty where he had started to go the wrong way re-position himself and STILL save it in the opposite direction!

If RD is all about youth it is time this lad got a chance maybe even the Scottish game any thoughts?

{Ed007's Note - I think if RD and Stevie Woods felt either Bailly or Fasan were ready to play for the first team they would be after the season Gordon's had. That was another howler from him up at Inverness last week when he palmed the ball straight back into the danger area again. He was at fault for both goals against Ajax, the first was his usual flap at fresh air and the way he was beat at his near post for the second was just (swear) terrible!
Until such times as we get a decent GK in we're always going to struggle to keep clean sheets, obviously having van Dijk and Denayer in front of him last season helped Gordon look better but he also let us down a number of times last season making the same mistakes that he's making this year.}

Fasan has the ability to be a very good keeper. I don't think Ronnie really rates him as if he did he would be getting more game time. Ronnie has gone on record as saying Gordon is the best keeper he has worked with? So there is no way anyone is getting a game over Gordon. Yet another Ronnie poor decision.

Gordon has been beaten far too often this season considering he has been called on far less than he was up to this time last season . Up to start of December last season he was making good save after good save in every match . He was also conceding too many goals . This season the saves have virtually dried up yet the goals roll in .
The amazing thing is that there is no doubt Denayer and van Dijk were superior to this season's combination . However Suminivic looks the part and I think he and Boyayta will become a good partnership . I don't want Fasan over exposed playing for first team before he is ready, we could destroy his confidence pitching him in before he was ready .
I thought it was Celtic's under 19's playing against Chelsea's under 21's which would be a large ask .

Dn30. You would have thought by now that good managers go out of their way to praise individual players in public . It's the very odd time that they do different . Yet some of our (fans ? ) use Deila saying that as a stick to beat him .
