With Celtic fans recently reportedly shaking hands with Craig Whyte in the Balmoral Hotel, champagne bar (I like it myself, excellent harpist), I'd like to nominate four new Celtic legends:
David Murray
Craig Whyte
Charles Green and
Yes Ally McCoist.

McCoist's ineptitude in cups pulled the rug from under Whyte and sunk that old club. His continued presence and football at sevco delights us all, long may it continue. However, as a Celtic asset perhaps we should consider using him in a swap deal? Ally McCoist and £600k for MacKay-Steven?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You forgot wee Jackie is manager at Dundee Utd now so faced with that deal he would tell you to politely go and take a flying duck to yourself lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Would never be linked to those guys! I know your joking but them as Celtic legends should never even be in same sentence. We have a lot more class and intelligence then them.

Agree0 Disagree0

With the Sevvies playing in SPFL league one next season, surely fat boy and his blazer spiv pals deserve a double bonus? Third div to first div promotion in a closed season, the fat boys a genius.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 sounds like some kind of world record to me! Surprised the knuckle draggers aren't bleating on about being the first team in the world to win promotion from league 3 to league 1!

Regarding sevco, a memo: It was relegation from SPL to SFL div3, so they say. Never been done before.
Same club but doesn't have its 276 creditors.
Clubs have league and SFA memberships, not operating companies, so why did Charles Green's new Rangers need to apply for associate memberships? Surely the same club already had its memberships?
How come when new rangers did their sales pitch to get into SPL, old rangers were still there and had a vote and voted to let them in?

Has Ally McCoist said anything in the last year that made sense? Or was truthful?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He did say his pre season was to be a Germany tour and a USA tour. Guess the euro and dollar exchange rates are now unfavourable?

Celtic could offer Aston villa a loan deal for wee barry bannan with view of making deal permanent. Would like this to happen but I say give kayal a good run in the team.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I just don't see what Bannen would offer us. I expect Rogic to really push on this year in the attacking midfield role. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Non starter for bannan, I know him and his family, he be loaned out, or signed by a championship team. As Gj says rogic will shine in the attacking midfield role(if given plenty game time). A hard man signed for defensive midfield cov r for izzy& mabe McKay stevens, All bedded in for the champs league qualifiers, which is a total sham, & is all about the money, as many are straight into the draw, i.e English teams, french, dutch, german, italian, turkish, greek, and even anderlech straight in. stevo

Having just seen Burley having a go at Lenny and Mr Lawwell I would suggest that this guy never sets foot in Celtic park again.

Any Journalist, which he is not remember, is entitled to their opinion on matters regarding any club. But this must be done in a professional manner. There should be no agendas in true journalism or reporting.Just facts on which you can give your own opinion.

If Burley thinks Victor should stay put till he receives an offer that suits him that's fine.If he thinks that Southampton are not a good fit, again that is his opinion. If he thinks that Southampton are not a well run or progressive thinking club he is entitled to say so.I have no problem with any of these thoughts.

But Burley offers more. Burley gives a skewed and offensive summation. He calls Neil Lennon 'Peter Lawwells puppet' Because Lenny suggested it might be a good move for Victor. He then claims Southampton, who are not too long out of administration, are run by a 'ticking time bomb' If I was the particular explosive device he is talking about I think my legal people might be expecting a call. More so when he claims 'they are hardly a stable ship'. So we have to assume that Burley has had access to the Southampton boardroom and is privy to their plans. He is not of course.

What he is however is a man with a burning desire to slate Celtic, or anyone connected to it, with his inane rambles in a newspaper. If this theory is in doubt here is the close of his article. 'Get your crash helmet on son, stick two fingers up to Lennon and Lawwell and do what's best for you'.

Last year Keevins was banned for a blatant lie which made the club look bad. This is as bad. What a bitter nasty piece of work this clown is. green jhedi

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would like to buy a pint for the guy who knocked that clowns two front teeth out. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

I proud to say I'm friends with a guy who told him exactly what he thought of him to a his face. Far too many expletives to put on here. But Burleys ar5e collapsed and walked away with a red face and his head down. I cannot comprehend why he gets so many gigs on Sky and in the media. Surely they could get any daft Scotsman to spout bitter comments during a game at a player having a poor match. And surely they could just find another one of the handshake brigade to slag Celtic in the papers! There must be literally hundreds of ex zombie players who would do that job in place of Burley and for less money.

The guys an absolute joke. A snake. A sneaky little snivelling rat.

That's just a snippet of what the d*ck was told.

Cannot stand the sight him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I loved him when he played for us, but a complete tosser, loves playing the Simon cowell character, or as I've said before Gerry mcnee. Jaj

Reading all the posts about the bus, and i'm sorry, but i'm not going to be a bus basher . you can all slag me if you wish . but I think we should do the same, it makes sense.
we would be getting our team to away fixtures in the best possible comfort and relaxation .
and I will reiterate . we would not be paying parks of hamilton money.

ok ghuys and ghals form an orderly queue to put the boot in . shammy

I forgot to say, this bus has a physio table, with a freezer for ice packs, and heat lamps .
say we are playing aberdeen and big balde has a calf strain, our guys could work on him on the way up to get him ready for the game . or if a player gets injured in the game . they could minimize the damage on the way back down the road . it makes sense . shammy

Do we not fly to Aberdeen and iverness and stay in hotels the night before away games no need for a bus shammy mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gordy, I honestly don't know now, I thought we drove up and down .
and if we don't, surely a luxury bus is better than sitting about airports for two hours . because we need a bus both ends anyway . to get us to the airport, from airport to game, from game to airport . from airport bla bla . and let's not forget . if we do fly, a lot of people are rubbish scared of flying.

Personally I think that for The Rangers it was important that they had at least one Quality coach for next season.

Sevco's new bus, it can be seen from space y'know, has provided a fresh line of laughter recently. Well let's be honest, the whole place is a comedy incubator. But the latest rumour, if true, is the single funniest thing to come out of ibrox since the floating pitch.

It seems that the bus, which is ranked just behind the pyramids in the worlds wonders, has the peepul in a frenzy. Why when they seem to like walking and marching aimlessly I don't know. But the high finance operatives lurking in the dust bowl see this as an opportunity to generate cash.

According to the rumours, sevco fans can, for the huge sum of 99p, watch a video of the bus. This is of course a bus they don't own. To be honest a bit of me hopes this is bogus, because if not the world is doomed. If anyone is stupid enough to actually pay this they need to seek medical help.Very quickly. green jhedi

Believable0 Unbelievable0

GJ, there is without a doubt someone dishing out crack cocaine over that way.

Last season Queen of The South were the only full time Club in the 2nd division so unless something's changed, it with be only be Rangers this season. The cratvess of turning up to these part-time Clubs in a 'oh look at us' tacky bus is, is just not right! Given they also claim to be the same Club that went bust last year owing millions.

It has to be drugs! Nobody can be that tacky, classless, deluded and just plain daft.

I seen a statement from Craig Mather the other day using the word 'humble'. Yeah, Craig turning up to cash strapped part time Clubs who voted you into Scottish Football despite not meeting the minimum regulations in an OTT bus looks 'humble' ~ Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha I know mate they can't see why we are mocking them on their site one person said its the Dutch bus company who gave it them just so they could use their name with a 'global' brand like the ranjurs, god it's great being a tim. Gandalf the green

i think celtic should remind wanyama and his greedy agents that if they don't stop all their games celtic should tell him you was not even worth a million when you came here & not that much of a financial loss to sit out the rest of your contract.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Much as I like Victor, and feel he is getting used by his agent, I agree with you. I would back Celtic in any stand against any agent.Long overdue big clubs did this. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

B*******, why would we do that. he's a great player for us, its his agent trying to make a fast buck. vics already said he would be happy to stay. I SMELL A SEVCONIAN. is it true that burger king wanted to sponser your team but backed out?. due to the fact that rangers produce more whoppers on a daily basis?. bhoywonder

Agree0 Disagree0

But we would lose out on potential investment money but to be honest I would rather he stayed for the next two years

Agree0 Disagree0

If we done business like that we'd end up like sevco.

What a load of nonsense. Are you from the dark side? I suspect you are. Go and play on your new bus. The one your club doesn't even own. The one that will grace some quality football grounds this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sevconian or not he has a point, we can't allow these worms to drag our clubs name through the mud. Vic himself must do somthing about his agent. We have done a lot for that bhoy. It's a bit ungrateful tbh. I know he is worth a fortune but this could have other repercussions. We are a development club now so we have to keep our rep of being good to do business with

Darrenbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

NL and PL will sit him down and tell him the facts, everything will be ok, it's just his agent at it and they will explain this isn't good for anyone except the agent.

Agree0 Disagree0

I genuinely believe Celtic just want rid now. Reading between the lines I imagine they have told Victor they are unhappy with his agent, especially his bullsh*t statement he made last week slating Celtic, yet he never sacked his agent nor has he corrected his agents statement saying we owe Wanyama which is absolute sh*te. I reckon he will end up at Cardiff for just over the Scottish transfer record which is a shame because I think he is worth between 12 and 15 million.

I have always took Celtic's side when it comes to players, they come and go and absolutely no one is bigger than the club. Get what we can for him sharpish and move on. He will be forgotten as a Celtic player. that's the price he pays for allowing his agent to take liberties with his career, prostituting him and making a statement like that after what playing for Celtic has done his career.

Stereotypical modern day footballers and there agents eh. Its probably a good thing they are not as accessible as in the old days. They would get found out for what they are or be getting slapped on a regular basis lol

Surely we could put in a cheeky loan bid to spurs for adebayor? S4mmy1888

Believable0 Unbelievable0

100k a week, lazy, would be crap in spl, extremely overrated, only plays for money. Wouldn't want him near paradise. Gandalf the green

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i'm not keen on this one either sorry OP. He's the opposite of the types Celtic are after nowadays. I feel Lennon and the scouting team take an interest in players persona, past discipline and attitude along with the other required criteria when considering player recruitments nowadays and i'm afraid Emmanuel Adebayor fails across the board. He has never shown commitment to any of the clubs he has played for, always chased the bigger contracts and has had many on field and off field problems, bans and fines. He's a big personality! Sometimes a good influence but sometimes a bad one.

I'm absolutely positive he would walk through the glass doors and think we owed him something and that he had done us a favour by moving to the SPL and I can't even stomach the thought of that.

Everytime I hear the name Adebayor I think about that celebration against Arsenal when he ran about 90 yards and slid on his knee's in front of the Arsenal faithful who had adored him 3 months previous before he engineered his move for financial gain. Cigarette lighters, drink cups, coins (i'm sure I seen 1 or 2 phones aswell) flew past him as he nearly caused a riot. BAMPOT! From a neutral perspective it was funny to watch at the time mind you.

The other is last season's Europa League quarter final. Inter had turned round a 3-0 defeat at white hart lane and had missed a glorious chance to win the tie 4-3 on aggregate in the last seconds of normal time. Extra time it was at 3-3 on aggregate and 6 mins into the game Adebayor scored a tap in to put tottenham in the lead on aggregate and with that the all important away goal. From then on he had the attitude he had done his bit. Twice making ludicrous decisions while on the counter attack with inter caught up the park to go it alone on the break against 2/3 men rather than play in firstly Kyle Walker and then Gilfy Sigurdsson. Inter then scored make it 4-1 on the night. Spurs still ahead on away goals though. 3 MINS TO GO and Inter were pushing hard for the winner and a long clearance up the park fell to Adebayor who decked it under no pressure, didn't get the foul he wanted and he just sat there on the deck, had a wee lie down arm spread out, sat back up, laid back down. this went on for nearly a minute. At the other end of the pitch in front of the Spurs goal it was like General Custers last stand and while the ball had twice been launched back up the park within his vicinity he still laid there on his ar*e. I have never seen a professional player do that, show so little fight or work ethic. Never as blatantly as that. It was again funny to watch from a neutral perspective but if Inter had scored and I had been a team mate of his I would have decked him. He wasn't shattered and couldn't run, you could see that wasn't the problem. By refusing to chase, harry or work the Inter defenders were just collecting the Spurs clearances and walzing from there 18 yard box to 10-15 yards into the Spurs half knocking balls into the exact area's the wanted. It was embarrassing to watch and I heard many Spurs fans on the radio phone in afterwards referring to it. They know how lazy he is without a doubt.

Sorry to blether on but Adebayor? no. just no.

I know I shouldn't look but according to a red top, today's paper celtic have or are about to accept 10M for wanyama. I'm sorry but after a 12.5 bid was accepted that should be the threshold for every other team to match. I'd make the big man wear the hoops next season if I didn't get 12.5 at least. Celtic shouldn't be weak and allow his agents comments last week drive down there acceptable fee threshold.

Rbhoy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Possibly the £12m bid had no add ons and the £10m one does? What I find more interesting is the calibre of clubs making moves. I would have thought Victor was better than them both. Green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Usual nonsense which must be ignored. Celtic are in the driving seat. Not VW not his agent not Cardiff or any other club. If 12.5 is the minimum mark then that is an end of it. What is the alternative. Cardiff say to Celtic Oh we will give VW agent the difference between 10 and 12.5 and you at Celtic can take what you are given. Absolute nonsense. These 3 rd rate sports reporters write Sh*** to be controversial and cause conflict. don't be lured into even making a comment. They are pathetic and useless and would not be able to hold down a decent job anywhere else. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

You don't know what is going on just like anyone else ffs, do you really think the board would make us lose money and not go after the better money option? If there is a less of a bid accepted I would think that there will be a big sell on which is where the big money is once he is in the epl. I'm sick of all these fans bitching about shiat that they don't know what's going on, you got your info from the papers and you believe them, wake up and wait until a deal is done and know that we get and how the deal is structured before bitching

Agree0 Disagree0

If vic goes to a team that will be fighting relegation he will just end up on a long list of player that turned their back on celtic for financial gain, and end up regretting it. think he will end up at arsenal or liverpool tbh. bhoywonder
