Scotland appears to have the only system in the world where unsigned and unregistered players can play in a competitive league match as TRIALISTS. Not only that, but whilst the club has a signing embargo by the governing body, stopping new players giving an advantage as punishment for a serious offence. Not only that but the governing body has agreed trialists can play in spite of their own embargo.

One word for it:
CORRUPTION

It makes a joke of sporting integrity. What if every club brought in trialists for three competitive games each year and didn't sign the guys?
