Hi ed,

not been about for a while but took the time to read the many variations of we got beat on Sunday, dodgy refs, conspiracies etc.

We got beat because Rangers looked hungrier in the first half, the sendings off rattled our young team and thats my point.

NL is gelling a very young side who have made 3 cup finals, (nearly 4 hopefully), won a league and just missed out on a league by a point. By anyones standard this is magnificent. What the team will learn this year will only add to what I think has the making of a great Celtic team for the future will yearly adjustments.

OK we never won the league at Ibrox but we will win it.

Hope all is good

Vambo {Ed007's Note - Good evening Vambo.}

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Naw vambo your wrong , celtic wer never going to be allowed to win that game , neil said it halfway through the first half "whats going on here" , aye thats right , thats exactly what neil said , so if neil said and thaught that then neil must be right because neil is always right , and why is this true , cause neil said its true , so there. {Ed007's Note - Have you been eating paint? This is what happen when Wee Pat visits the Govan area on night outs over the years.}

Agree0 Disagree2

Dont think I mentioned what NL said, ave just got a vibe about the way he keeps picking gems (Kayal, Izzy,Hooper, etc) to sign for us who if they stay together will only get stronger and will learn through the last 2 campaigns, cant wait to party this year and looking forward to the team staying together as much as possible with a few add on's....another striker an perhaps a central defender with a bit of experience. the future looks good

Just a wee thought, all this mince from the masses of bluenoses that Lennon is an embarrassment to our club, let's analyse at Mr McCoist on Sunday with his insincere handshakes. At the time of seeing it I burst out laughing at this PR stunt, the problem with Lenny is that he's too transparent whilst McCoist's a fly man, me thinks!

McCoist's let his guard down on a couple of occassions though, we all know this.

Believable15 Unbelievable4

Totally agree the fat paul le guen is a sly ba****d

Agree12 Disagree2

Mccoist is a smug arrogant manipulator billybhoy

Agree12 Disagree2

Yep, I don't really care about his antics, what I care about is how Lennon is vilified and Super Ally always seems to be absolved. It's unfair, although Lenny now has to rethink his approach.

CELTIC - We did it by playing football. Pure, beautiful, inventive football

Rangers - We did it through tax evasion, second contracts and keeping the media sweet so they didn't ask any questions

Mrs E

Agree14 Disagree1

Mrs E - did what?

Agree1 Disagree5

League Champions - 42 titles,
Scottish Cup - 35
League Cup - 14
European Cup - '1' !

But i'm sure you could have googled that yourself and found 9-in-a-row etc as well.

Mrs E

Agree8 Disagree0

@2 - Well i'd be reasonably happy as well if my team had skelped your mob 4-2 and 3-2. Should have had a draw as well(Wallace's goal) Doesn't leave a lot for your mob to be smug and arrogant about, when you are limping over the line trying to win silverware, when RFC are at their lowest ebb for years. You will win the league and congratulations for that, but i think there are more questions that need answers regarding this celtic team, and if you can't see that, then you are smug, arrogant, and deluded. As has already been pointed out,but duly disregarded on here, AM Waits in the tunnel after every home game and shakes the players hands. On the subject of grand-standing,and playing to the cameras, remember Martin O'neil and Lennon at Ibrox? ...on the pitch.Hmmmm?
Stevie-A-Bear

Agree0 Disagree5

Allegedly Mrs E!
C'mon now, innocent until proven, or shall we just throw the book at your manager now, prior to any investigation having been concluded? Stevie-A-Bear

Agree0 Disagree1

The club is in adminitration due to years of financial mismanagement (fivers & tenners)..there's no allegedly about it Stevie - Mrs E

Agree3 Disagree0

"Financial mismanagement" - Mrs E, is a slight change of tact from your earlier post to which i was alluding. Stevie-A-Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Very good Stevie...'slight' change, your words. Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree1

Stevie-a-bear , i think you will find it was O'Neill who was grandstanding as you put it with Lennon on the park. Lennon didnt look comfortable at al when Martin was parading him. But then again you can see his point after the 90 minutes of vile hatred bombarded down on him during that game.

We have been fined £20,000 FOR THE FLARE & BANNER trouble against Udinese in December. Time to start behaving when we are on out Travels

Celtic have been fined £21000 by uefa for flares and banner against udinese!! Stop tarnishing the name of our great club please

Skinnybhoy

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Agreed Skinnybhoy...what they were thinking (if at all), I just don't know. Cringeworthy ~ Mrs E

Agree9 Disagree0

I think it's a bigger problem that wont go away. If some of the guys can afford to travel away and get the banner and flares into the ground, sounds pretty organised to me.
Only been to England myself but what were the other bhoys doing when the banner went up? Surely they would be able to finger the culprits.
Just a thought.

Agree6 Disagree0

Can't deny that there were more subtle ways to get the message across in Udine... but.. win the league and qualify for a qualifier, then a playoff, then (eventually and hopefully) enter the group stages of the so-cried "Champions" League?
I'll be frank... f*** UEFA.

just a quick question to all you bhoys out there

two weeks ago it was a history making treble you were chasing if it turns out you get dumped out of the Scottish cup by hearts or even worse lose another final at hamden and end up with only the league how safe will neil Lennons job be sensible answers only please.

for the Record you deserve the League not all rangers fans think its tainted

Pad {Ed007's Note - The league was/is always the priority. If he had failed there then questions would need to be asked.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Would have to agree with Ed that the league is the priority. This said a treble would have been well erm nice. But it isnt to be. Be it botlle, desire or just plain ability it hasnt been done. I think at least getting to the final in the league cup is fair enough, losing is a bitter pill to swallow, but when its the better team you just have to hold your hands up, much like the OF result at the weekend, the more determined and better team on the day won.

If Lennon had not managed to go on that run and we were still behind rangers even after administration serious questions would have to have been asked. This is all ifs and buts, so in my opinion Lennon is safe in his job for a wee while yet. I think next year will be the real test for hi,m. He has had the settling in season and done ok, didnt win the league but pushed it close and was let down by his players in inverness and Ibrox when sammi missed the pen, sorry when mcgregor saved it. This year the team has come on a fair bit from that and shown more resilliance after the poor start to the league and he must be commended for this.

Next year however i think these bigger game jitters or whatever will need to be sorted as if you are good enough to dominate most teams in a league game or in rounds in the cup and you get to the final and are labelled favorites he should be looking to get more from his players when the chips are down. Next year is the year in my opinion where lennon should face his real acid test of being manager.

That's exactly what i had hoped for sensible reply's

Oh dear thats not like me, some on this site must be influencing me! Ed this sites a bad influence lol

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - How do you think I feel?? :-) I 'debated' with Moneypenny for two hours the other night about what we were having for dinner!!!!}

Agree0 Disagree2

HAha ed i hope it didnt go down the lines that you couldnt eat X Y or Z because it would be sectarian ? lol

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - It was the old carrot/green beans debate. It's a more common dilemma than people realise.}

Agree0 Disagree2

There are a few factors that I would say keep Lennon safe at the moment...

1). TM's team was terrible, a lot of people who did not care about the club came in, whilst those who did were punted (Mick, Skippy, Robo etc). This meant that Lennon, an in experienced manager and to build his own squad from scratch. It is easy inheriting a squad and continuing success, looked at PLG with Lyon.

2). In his own words, he vowed to "bring the thunder back" and personally I would say he has managed that. After WGS Parkhead was flat and boring, the green brigade has probably helped this but the majority (99.9%) is down to Lennon.

3). Kilmarnock at half time talk.

4). Coming back from 17 points behind to now being 8 clear (plus administration deduction), the record breaking winning run and his performances in Europe.

5). So far all he has won is Scottish cup however he been in 2 league cup finals (should have beat Rangers) and ran the league to the wire last year (should have won it) we are still in the Scottish cup and the league was won when Ledley scored the winning against Rangers.

Therefore for a "rookie" manager who is managing one of the biggest teams in the world, I personally think he is doing a grand job (please also take into account everything he has went through away from football).

When we win this league, I will be proud and so should every Celtic supporter as, as Ed said - The league was our main objective.

Let the people sing!

We all agree the SPL title was our priority and the run the team put together - even before all the Administration distraction was incredible and NL rightly deserves credit. There is a question mark over Big game character, and confidence, as we went flat at this stage last season too. So is the problem the preparation and motivation or do certain players lack the extra edge to be perennial winners?
We will see in the next few weeks how the players handle the demands of the jersey and how much the past 2 seasons have either taken out of NL or developed him into a potential 'Great'.

Jungle Jim

Agree3 Disagree1

There is no doubt Lenny still has enormous purchase with the Celtic support, but is it as strong as last season?I think a lot of fans are puzzled by some strange team tinkering and no defined pattern of play. How many times this season were we hanging in for a result at 1-0 or 2-1?I look for an advancement as a team and i do think we have moved forward in that respect.Winning the cup semi has to be achieved to end the bottle question as a semi can be tougher than most finals, and as we saw last week an inspired keeper can blow you away in a final. If we win only the league then i would be happy with some reservations eg; losing two cup finals would mean questions need to be asked(assuming we win the semi) and straight answers given. The big plus is the turn round in players, young with good sell on value is the only way forward and in that Lenny has excelled.Lots of money will be freed up in summer with players leaving so reinvestment is crucial and i think lenny bought himself plenty of that. In Lennon We Trust............green jhedi

Agree2 Disagree1

Killie half time team talk? Don't make me laugh you never scored till 73 minutes that comeback had nothing to do with lennons team talk.

Agree1 Disagree6

We must remember as well that when things were not so good when we were losing and not playing well in begining of year that Lennon said he needs to look at what he is doing and try to change things up maybe in tactics or wtv. Lennon has proven that he can switch things up and change on the go, however it like everything else doesnt always go to plan ex the game against rankers, if it was a fairly called game whos to say we wouldnt have lost and that the players selected could have had a great game. In the end, within just 2 years he has had more problems/things to deal with then most deal with in there whole career. He is exactly what we need because he knows how and where Celtic should be as well he is not one that gets scared away! He is going to help change the team AND the sfa/spl and bring those out that are bad for the game, we just need more people/managers to help him and the league change for the better. He has a temper thats true but since last year he has changed himself in self control, you cant get on him because of his passion for the game and for the club, he is still a new manager and will only learn more but a great start was to have/learn from O'Neill. I for one look foward to Lennon and his team to be hear for years to come. it was a shame that O'Neill left because of all the treatment against him (i didnt blame him for doing that) but this is why i love Lennon as manager because he will stand for whats right and i do think he will help change things in the league, or maybe im just hopefull that things will change because once they do all the teams will be better and the spl will become more competitive.

"@Evinguu; I agree with you on the two refs question. The game has moved on from it's original rules and they need to be refreshed. One long accurate pass takes a ref out of play no matter how fit he is.By cutting down the yardage they have to cover there should,in theory, always be a ref within 10-20 yards of an incident.I would also instruct refs to penalise the offender if two players are grappling for position at corners and free kicks, every time,no excuses. How many times do you see defenders pulling players while not even looking at the ball?............green jhedi"

Thats the point green jhedi. I would aree with the in box malarkey at corners aswell, however instead of it being a penalty if its the defending team, i would say its a retake of the corner. Only in extreme circumstances should it be a penalty, if it as a penalty everytime whenever the ball goes out for a corner the ref should just point to the spotanyways.

Evinguu

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Ok seemed to miss a bit out of my post there

if it was a penalty everytime a corner was taken which it could be with all the nonscence that goes on in the box, whenever the ball goes out the ref should just point to the spot.

Evinguu (think that cleared it up)

Just read an article in The S*n. Supposedly Kyle Laughatme seems to think Rangers are the best team in the league. He must think he's the best player as well what a deluded person and I quote " we play the best football" Motherwell, Kilmarnock, St Johnstone Dundee Utd even St Mirren all play better football than the team nicknamed by the best player in the world at this moment and time Messi as "anti-football".

Chad

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Why do you believe papers they spin sh1t, and lets be honest if he did say it what else would he say, at this time killie are playing the best football same as falkirk and tbh its good to see.

are well.Looking for predictions for
Motherwell v The new so called on
form Rangers. Will McColl and his
team play to their strengths or will
they cave in

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Motherwell have 2nd place to fight for, apart from the 2-1 firpark game last year how many times has macalls team beat Celtic? Total myth.

Mccoll will change his formation play some youngsters and advise his players not to put the boot in like they do when they play celtic same old same old

Hold on a minute - Sorry my mistake, I forgot that Motherwell are part of the "Establishment" My apologies, your post does make perfect sense now!

story of the day , rangers have better players than celtic by zinedine zidane , marco van baston , pele, lionel messi , johan cruff, maradona , no , nobody that knows how to play football , this from the man that dived to get mulgrew and broonie sent offthe biggest cheat ever to pull on a pair of boots. won't even name him , biggest cheat ever says it all , billybhoy

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Billybhoy...he didn't say that after the game on 28th Dec when we knocked them right off their perch before administration and with Jelavic still in the team. Just a wee shame these better players blew that lead and we won't mention the European cash that could have came in handy ~ Mrs E

Agree9 Disagree1

Aye same as rogne saying ur not bottlers. craig+babybear

Agree2 Disagree7

Craig...don't run your team down like that, I thought they were the better team on Sunday. I didn't think they won against 9 men due to Celtic being 'bottlers' but if you think differently...Mrs E

Agree5 Disagree1

What are you saying craig ? that laughable is not a cheat . lets take videos to court and see who wins .

Agree5 Disagree1

What makes it worse is that it is sanctioned by the rangers management because if you watch youtube every time they get away with it they wink to the bench, bougerra{ excuse spelling} this is a club that condones cheating , and remember they employed the biggest ****bag ever to pull on boots

Agree4 Disagree1

Agree laff has kinda done himself no favours, but if this was said to the papers then i can kinda see why, he aint going to say that we are pants or admin has destroyed team morale even though we had problems before admin due to not being able win at home. about the bottlers i didnt think u bottled sunday i just think u got beat quite easily , i do think u bottled the cup final though... when i say easily, lets be honest it was as much as a one sided old firm game for a while.. craig+babybear
