good game tonight, 1st 15min damage done really thought it was going to be much more.

MON for me was wanyama.he made a few bo bos but was great at doing the job in had,as was stokes. only thing that gets me is forrest is a little greedy with the ball at times never the less 2nd goal was great play.

hats off to the GB tonight,good as always liked the ohh aa up....shhhhhh lol

If you just watched the A.C Milan v Barca the last goal was exactly what Celtic try to do tonight!! Too many wee short passes then bang, we had the short passes but no bang! Watching that two is just amazing, some game proper top,top class football.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

CB67 m8 chelsea (who i reali despise) an city who i hope win the epl can throw their money around on this donkey an that donkey(30 40 50m) but as long as we keep getting we gems like larsson izzaguire an kayal for next to nout keep her lit

maciej {Ed007's Note - Man City?? Are you kidding me on here??}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed im surrounded by glory hunting chelsea, man utd,an now man city was gna call them supporters but their nt supporters their a**eholes,constantly on in my ear i grew up in belfast wen the rankers ruinned my childhood winning 9 in a row my 1st memory of watchin hoops was the double in 88 aged 6, people supported the crazy gang cos they won the fa cup they supported sheff wed in the 2 finals against arsenal(93 i maybe wrong with the year) now its who has the most money whos winning the most,fukin sad really hail hail celtic till i die
maciej88 {Ed007's Note - When my dad's family left Ireland he grew up in Ashton under Lyne and followed Man Utd. When he moved up here in his late teens he started following CFC but still liked Utd. He passed that onto me so I follow Utd from down south. I do a lot of the editing on the Man Utd site as well.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair play ed i respect anyone like urself an u dad who has a liking for a particular team im sure he supported utd all thru the 80s wen everton an liverpool were top dogs then he got his just rewards just like i did wen wim stop 10 in a row an kings o neill robertson an walford came but would u nt agree the fickleness of some c**ts today m8 {Ed007's Note - The amount of people who support City because of Oasis is ridiculous and now they have money it is worse. They can't even fill their stadium, and that is with giving free tickets to schools. I remember when it was fashionable for a while to support Blackburn/Newcastle as well. Glory hunters mate. I think I am the only CFC fan that favours Real Madrid over Barca as well lol.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Not on this site m8 to quote u lol my da brought me inda town 1 day an ski an sports (sports shop) in belfast had a fire in the stockroom i got a smoke damaged barca top with romario on the bk loved them ever since terry venables an all lol ronald koeman wembley enuff f**k the galacticos ed lol(by the way who the galacticos now lol) {Ed007's Note - CFC's ties with Madrid go way back to the 60's when us, them and Utd were winning European Cups. It was watching Real Madrid at Hampden in the European Cup final in 1960 that inspired Jock Stein to play the way The Lisbon Lions did, a capacity crowd in The Bernabeu cheering every touch Jinky had in Di Stefano's farewell match. I wrote this the other month:

Well that was interesting, we won but dont we like to make it difficult for ourselves.
Stokes was first class tonight, Hooper average, who does Lennon hook yep, Stokes.
His decision making is woeful.

I thing we are getting some form back, some of the play tonight was great to watch, but lets not kid ourselves this was Dunfermline we were playing, yes they clogged up the box with players made it difficult, but we missed our chances.

I for one will reserve judgement on whether we have turned the corner and can turn the season around.

Kev (Lost Bhoy 50)

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Kev i usually agree with most things u say but i disagree with u this time m8 i no as u say it was only dunfermline we played but i watched the zenit apoel match earlier an apoel(top of their champs league group by the way) went an parked the bus got the point they needed to qualify an fair f**in play to them the pars came with the same attitude 11 behind the ball an we were 2 up in 15 mins it was 2 goin on 20 in 1st half m8... rant over lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep Kevybhoy the only thing I agree with you there is why did he hook stokes. You are being too harsh bud it was wave after wave if you watched it, christ even if u listened.

Well thats us down to 7...however we played some fantastic football tonight but stokes is the man on form so why not let him have the penalty ok he has missed a few but after ki missed the team went a wee bit flat!!

happy with the points but must work harder against st mirren.

xmas isnt far away,and we could all do with extra beer vouchers at this time of year,so heres a foolproof way to make some easy money.so long as we beat st mirren on saturday,get down the bookies with every penny you can gather,and stick it all on killie to lose 8 0 v the forces of darkness.in fact,for a double,go for the first 4 goals coming in the opening 5 mins,3 of which will be penalties.

Just back from the game and I am afraid I thought Paddy was poor. Every time he got the ball he slowed the game down. Not what we needed from him tonight.

I see that Blackman is on the bench tonight, Lennon must be looking to give him some game time.
ED007 as you predicted I see that Mr Whyte has not sent any lawyers letters to BBC, either he does not fancy his chances or this law firm have not been paid either ha ha Timalloy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Or he could be just getting a case together to present. Sueing the BBC is a big risk and expence for us as we have to watch our cash as were going bust remember, you'v told us this for what is it now 5 months and still no addmin? sure though someone will post that were going bust next week quoting a sourse that they can,t name and ofcourse the will put "FACT" to make sure we now it's true. still smilling :o) badboybob {Ed007's Note - It was only a thirty minute programme, papers should have been served of the intention to sue them by now surely. These papers only outline the case, i.e. slander/libel against Craig Whyte, they don't go into detail giving the lawyers plenty of time to build a case before any hearing. The BBC are adamant that they will not apologise and are willing to go to court. It would be interesting to see what ex-employees (of Whyte's other companies and from Rangers) that were on the programme would or could say when being cross examined in a court. I hope he goes for it, personally. He seems to being doing his utmost to keep Rangers out of court rooms though.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Well i see Celtic have signed Michael Lustig from Rosenburg on a lucrative 3 year contract , while Mr Whyte may pull the plug on a short term deal for Sone Aluko in case he has to pay Aberdeen £200,000 at a tribunal ,and has FINALLY settled a £3000 yes £3000 bill owed to a Law Firm out of court , does this guy REALLY have the money needed to save Rangers ? its not looking very promising . {Ed007's Note - It wasn't a £3000 bill it was £1600, the civil court that deals with they kind of cases only deal with cases up to £3000.}

Agree0 Disagree0

BBB - 'Sueing the BBC is a big risk and expence for us as we have to watch our cash ' Would have thought this was a personal slander by the BBC on CW & not Rangers therefore if he was suing, it would be out of his own cash (allegedly he has plenty of it) & not Rangers - Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Just shows that celtic are hopin 4 admin quite sad

Ed as a man in the loop do you think browns offski??
(I'll not be happy if he is, esp. if he goes for nada)
CB67 {Ed007's Note - Everything is agreed in the deal, Brown is happy with it, CFC are happy with him wanting to sign it, but why should CFC pay an agent's fee when they have not employed him to do anything or help conduct a transfer. This is a regular occurrence in the game now, clubs only want to pay agents when they have actually brokered a transfer, not negotiate contracts etc. The agent gets a percentage of any money he makes his client (as will be written into the players contract with the agent), it is Brown who has the contract with the agent so why should CFC have to pay him? Do CFC get a percentage of Brown's other earnings like his agent does? He is playing for one of the best known clubs in the world, which does his earning power no harm at all, it actually increases it that he is a CFC player. It is just another showing of the power and greed agents have in the game today. Managers all over the UK detest agents as much as they do the press, if not more so. I honestly think it is about 50/50 if he stays or not right now.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Ok I understand the situation better know cheers. But if we lose Brown due to this it'll be a sad state of affairs bud.

Official team line up taken from Celtic Official Site
Tonight’s team:
CELTIC (4-4-2) Forster; Matthews, Wanyama, Majstorovic, Ledley; Forrest, Kayal, Ki, Commons; Hooper, Stokes
Subs: Zaluska, El Kaddouri, Samaras, Blackman, Fraser, McCourt, McGeouch

Thank god Lenny's seen Kaddouri's gash, this is Commons chance show us what he did last season.
On other news Stv are running the story that we've got this guy Lustig on a pre-contract which is good news (I hope) If he is naturally a right back I'm pretty confused as to why he's made this guy his main target when everyone knows were crying out for a commanding,big center half? Although the way Wanyama played on sat its great to know we have him if needed. Still need to sign a no nonsense C.H for sure IMO.
CB67

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Nov 2011 18:49:33
Right Mon the Hoops tonight no messing about eh? If Wanyama is back in defense (as I imagine he will be, and should be there until we actually sign someone for that position). We need to get into them straight from the kick off and a few goals wouldn't go amiss either, should give paddy a go this game is perfect for him IMO. Then we'll be down to 7 points which is great considering the dross we've played earlier this season, If Lenny picks El "nightmare" Kadouri (not even worried about spelling, shouldn't even be at Celtic) I will be very disappointed in him, he's surely got to see that he's pure p1sh!!
Anyways big chance tonight to keep the good run going and will do us a big chance in the league.
So C'mon the bhoys, Hail Hail

ED007, just looking up some stats about our new buy Lustig, he has been capped 23 times for Sweden, in 188 games he has scored 26 goals roughly 1 in 7 better than big Sammy ( not fair comparison my 79 year old uncle waiting for knee operation has better record than sammy ha ha) with blackman also signed that is both right and left back covered and both can also play central defence, things are looking up, both have cost nothing and if we get decent money for Hooviveld and use it wisely, I am confident for a good 2012/2013 hail hail Timalloy

Believable3 Unbelievable2

What a f**ny, you state your new buy then totally contradict yourself by saying he cost nothing.?

Maybe Celtic will pay the paltry sum of £200,000 for Sone Aluko ! Nah we already have better wingers KB .

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2011 15:18:30
Was just about to post about Lustig...delighted about the deal...but I do wonder WHY when we have 3 RB's on our cards...SURELY we need him for CB and we need another CB!!!?
We badly need a CB and powerful CF

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Maybe there plan is to play lustig at centre half.....if you could pick a big powerful striker to sign rite now who would go for?

viewparkbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

It could be that Matthews is on his way out ... i know that a few teams down south have been sniffing about him ... id imagine the board would be happy to sell him on at a profit especially if they have a replacement in Lustig? (i dont think Cha is good enough)

Germinator

Agree0 Disagree0

Germinator, you must be very happy today, your "billionaire" owner has found the money to pay HUGE legal bill of less than £1500 all bears are rejoicing tonight. hail hail Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree1

Na tim looking at the league cheers me up enough .... what i do love was that 2 months ago the slaggins that tic fans were trying to give out were that we COULDNT pay any bills ... now its reduced to paying them later than we should ... ahhh ... also according to the celtic faithfull we should have been in admin about 3 times by now ?!

ps id also challenge anyone who claims to know anything about the result of the tax case, cos not one single person on this site has said that the case would be delayed til Feb ... proof that no-one knows a thing about it .

Germinator

Agree2 Disagree0

Germinator, just look at your bears site over last two days, numerous bears all saying either tax case is won or deal is done. Even today your number one bear Darrell King has stated deal with taxman is done go and challenge them. By the way what kind of business has a stategy of paying ALL bills late? Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

In reply to the unnamed comment regarding the possibility of us technically having 3 right backs is strange. Mark Wilson was one of our best players last season (ok he maybe a wee bit prone to injury), but fit he's a great player who IMO we need to keep at Celtic. For me Cha isn't up to it again only IMO (pretty sure i won't be the only one tho) so taking those points into consideration maybe we do require another "option" so this maybe the thinking behind the signing of Lustig. But after reading up on him he can also play a Center Half which i guess is good. Personally I'd still rather see an out n out No nonsense, commanding Big F'off C.H signed up as a priority, as 99% of us are all wanting to see.

ED007, as we trust your knowledge, is there any truth in these rumours that board approached Strachan to advise Lennon? hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Seems to be, but it wasn't a full time position or as a DOF. It was done with NL's blessing. He has asked GS advice on numerous occasions before. The board just wanted to make it a bit more official.}

23 Nov 2011 12:25:55
Hypothetically speaking , Ed007 , heres a scenario i was thinking about ... if the tax case goes horribly wrong for Rangers and they are hett for the full £49m , the HMRC are demanding their money , as are the others owed money by the club , HMRC apply for Rangers to be liquidated , Craig Whyte then starts up the new Rangers ! surely under these circumstances , the new Rangers would forfeit their SPL status , and start afresh at the bottom of the league set up ? as has been the case with clubs such as AFC Wimbledon , Accrington Stanley , Airdrie ,Clydebank etc , would that be the case or would the goalposts be moved because of who it is ? {Ed007's Note - I have said before that I would be astounded if Rangers went into liquidation, administration is a possibility, but not liquidation. If any club goes into liquidation the rules are the same.}
