It's as simple as this. Celtic must 'park up' the buying of 'project players' for the coming season at least. That done we must shed 6 - 8 squad players. We take the money generated (in the form of transfer fees and salaries no longer being paid) and use it to assist in the finance of buying 3 top European players. I'm talking about payers who can take the team to another level and make us competitive in Europe.

I personally feel torn. Of course I want Celtic to qualify for the Champions League. I want to see Celtic scoop the massive financial rewards on offer. I want to watch the big names strutting their stuff at Celtic Park. However I don't know how many more humiliating results I can stomach.

So come on board give the manager the funds he needs to make competitive.

I agree with you mate, and would love to see it. However, we will not have top European players at Celtic. We just won't pay the money, and to be honest. should we?

Bobby why would players of the calibre that you suggested come to our league, Matt o Riley can’t get into the Danish squad because of the league he plays in and players will have that in mind if they want to play for their country.

If we don’t go down the route of project players / or players who haven’t yet reached their peak. Call them whatever you like, how can we afford to buy 3 of the quality of and big named footballer who will strut their strut for Celtic in Europe .
It is reported that Celtic value MO’R at £40m and he is barely able to be outstanding in all Champions League games. Does that mean we need £150m approximately to buy 3 players to strut around pitch on European big nights.
Our players who are not benefiting our squad, are not in big demand elsewhere and might raise £15- £20 m tops and remove the same amount roughly off wages bill . I imagine our 3 incoming stars would demand about £50k in wages. I am not sure we would be getting good value for our resource.
