Does anyone know why Ryan Christie contract runs out in January?
Seems odd and I can't think of any other player that this has happened to.
Apologies if it's all ready been discussed earlier 🍀.

I’m not 100 % convinced it does. I was sure there was some sort of rule that a players contract must cover the full season. But I’m not an expert perhaps someone else will know. I know the press are saying it does but I walkways thought that was the rule and also if he was ooc in 5 months whys he not had any top offers to sign.

Didn't he sign for us in the winter window? I thought he signed a 4 or 5 year deal which would mean it runs out in the January transfer window.

{Ed002's Note - Contracts typically cannot end in January - only at the end of a season. Pre-contracts can be signed in January with clubs from a different FA.}

I'm sure celtic rubbishd this rumour months ago but doesn't seem to have gone away. A very strange one if it is true or it just shows the media know absolutely nothing and we should probably pay about as much attention to them as I do to the bloke in the pub.
