In his last full season with Motherwell 18/ 19, statistically David Turnbull had a much better season than he has had for us this year. Why is he now worth £15M+ in the eyes of some supporters when we paid Motherwell in the region of £3.5M for him a year ago?

He's shown that he can perform with a big club (even when the club is underperforming) and he's now in an international squad going to the Euros. I reckon £15m isn't an outrageous figure to bandy around although personally I would like him to stay at Parkhead for a good few more years.

I think it was even less than that Del, I read the fee was closer to 2.7M.

Because he's proved himself at a bigger club consistently.

I've seen a lot of people saying Aston Villa bidding £7m would be disrespectful but from what I've seen I don't agree. I'd rather keep him than sell him for that price but I think his performances have been a wee bit overhyped due to the support being so badly starved of positives this season.

I agree Kev. I think he has been overhyped a bit as well. Its a no brainer for me that he stays. I like what I've seen but so far its been in flashes. I think he's got it in him to become a consistent performer over 90 mins for us, he's still young and it will be interesting to see how he develops under a new manager. Taking his potential into account I still don't see him as a £15M+ player just now.

No chance is he a £15m player, granted he's been the the best of a bad lot but £15m your having a laugh!

The way i look at it is he is on a long contract, he has bags of ability, lots of potential, still young, is an internationalist and has proven he is capable of producing against top teams in Europe.

Not only that he is a player we are likely to build around in the coming years. So any teansfer away from us in the near future will require a hefty fee to tempt us to sell.
