To qualify for the group stages of the CL next season will be harder because Celtic won’t be going down the easier Champions route.
Although we go straight into round 2,
As it stands we would be facing either Sparta Prague, Rapid Vienna or Midjylland.
It looks like Celtic will be unseeded for rounds 3&4.
Celtic could then face 2 clubs from PSV, Besiktas, Lyon, Benfica, CSKA Moscow or Shakhter Donetsk.
Those would be on current standings.

Practically every single year under PL we've left it far too late in the Summer transfer window to bring in the players necessary to help us qualify for the CL group stages because he hedged his bets, every year.

Realistically I don't expect us to be anywhere the CL group stages next season and would be happy with a good run in the Europa League.

Pedro71, this is our worst team for many years as far as performances are concerned. What makes you think it is even possible to have a 'good run in the Europa League' when our club has fallen apart in Europe for many years with a very occasional and rare exception? HH.

If the club don’t get their finger out and get a DOF appointed, get a new management team in we can absolutely forget champions league football. We’re notorious for getting business done late in every window and until that changes we’ll always be pissing into the wind. With the amount of changes in playing terms it’s going to take a manager of vast experience to bring a team together quickly and hit the ground running. Now isn’t the time for project managers.

Under Lawell, we have failed 9 times out of the last 12. He and his dithering and cheapskate approach has caused that. Hooefully if we get new people in possession of two testicles and realise if we get the CL cash we move forward in many ways, then our continued humiliation in Europe will continue. Lawell woukd state we are a CL club, then did nothing to make that BS a reality. A great Businessman doesn't miss the greatest financial opportunity 75% of the time. He did. Ask yourself this. Name me a year, any year when you felt we were prepared for the qualifiers? Can't think of one? Me neither. That's Lawell to a tee. Too late, or we sign duds, who aren't even fit to help. We fail to prepare, so we fail.
