Great to see the statement made from Celtic but let's see if anything actually comes from this. Only Fergus mccann has had the cahones to stand up to that mob.

I've got to say that statement looks as if it was drafted by a seven year old. We were beaten by a better team on the day but we'll always be better in EVERY way. Beatons number has allegedly surfaced in public and he's allegedly being threatened. Let's just get the head down and do our talking on the pitch.

First and foremost we were absolutely rotten on the day and deserved nothing from that game. Secondly yes some of Newton’s decisions were baffling let’s say, especially towards Morelos and the fact he says he seen those 3/ 4 incidents and thought they were ok Is strange, especially the one on Ralston for me. If you look at that incident again Morelos clearly and intentionally stamps on Ralston and with replays from different angles, slowed down footage how Beaton can say that was a legit tackle etc is beyond me. Even the flick towards Christie, look at Morelos actions straight after it, he bows his head and turns away in the hope the ref didn’t act on it. Now while we can argue wether any of the incidents merited a red card, what we can say that on each of the incidents he could easily have seen yellow never mind another yellow for persistent fouling. That’s were I feel Beaton has let himself down and open to scrutiny. That said if reports are to be believed then the threatening behaviour towards him is out of order. I totally get peoples frustrations, anger even but to deliberately go out your way to threaten this guy is completely out of order and will make not a blind but of difference other than to get themselves punished. Let Celtic challenge the authorities and go down the proper channels. If those photos that were all over social media yesterday are legit and I say IF, then the man himself has put himself in a questionable position. To referee a Celtic v rangers game were your “ supposed to be fair to both sides” and hours later turn up in a pub full of rangers fans laughing joking etc etc is embarrassing not only for him but the SFA itself. Like I say that’s only IF those photos are credible.

100% legit my sister and her husband were in the same pub The Crown in Bellshill and he was posing for pictures galore as well and I quote I wasn’t going to give those cuts anything today.
