Anyone heard anything on Joel Campbell from arsenal coming to Celtic?

I think the lad is a good player.

Nickybhoy

1.) 14 Aug 2018 13:14:43
Nicky, have you been reading the hitc site? If so then you really should know better. HH.

2.) 14 Aug 2018 13:21:24
Aye Bob your right apologies ๐Ÿ˜‚.

10 Aug 2018 12:24:13
Welcome home Emilio ๐Ÿ€.

Nickybhoy

1.) 10 Aug 2018 13:35:29
Amen to that!

2.) 10 Aug 2018 13:42:14
Bit of an odd one for me, this. I suppose, when we have KT, we need somebody willing to spend 95% of the season on the bench. Just makes me wonder why he ever left.

3.) 10 Aug 2018 14:47:42
Extremely underwhelmed.

4.) 10 Aug 2018 16:09:20
He was finished before he left so backward step bringing him back.

5.) 10 Aug 2018 16:16:20
@Jimtim money that's why. Not that I blame him.

6.) 10 Aug 2018 16:29:10
Always liked Izzy but this is a strange one. Fair play though he has just got himself a free season ticket with a weekly wage.

7.) 10 Aug 2018 17:17:38
To be honest I think its a backward step, fair enough to bring him in as cover for KT but I would have rather seem one of the young boys given a chance.

8.) 10 Aug 2018 18:17:38
Could it be that the player we wanted for cover (KT) was.

1) Too expensive ( transfer)
2) Wages
3) Did not want to come?

or were we actually looking for cover in the 1st place?

9.) 10 Aug 2018 18:32:15
Absolute nonsense this negativity, yes kt is number 1 lb but who else do you think would settle for a back up role and not get much game time. We know what weโ€™ll get with this guy and 100% knows us inside out. Get a grip he was our number 1 left back up until his injury and from where Iโ€™m standing everyone was happy with Emilio up until then.

10.) 10 Aug 2018 18:47:26
Yeh let's keep splashing out on people to sit on the bench. What next get Commons back.

11.) 10 Aug 2018 19:07:54
Totally agree Craig N ticks all the boxes for me.

12.) 10 Aug 2018 20:54:48
So what you are saying Stan is we should have no cover for any of the first 11?

13.) 10 Aug 2018 21:13:09
I think bringing emelio back is just a bit of looking after him after giving us so many years service. His missus never settled in middle east and he has come back knowing he isn't going to get much game time. I would rather he played left back than johnny hayes, he needs to make in impact in his own role.

14.) 10 Aug 2018 21:18:32
Kev83
No one said we shouldn't have cover but with BR looking like he favours a back 3 in the SPL, do we not use C Miller who Rogers sees as a LB or is there no other player in the development squad who can step in on occasion and is happy to sit on the bench for most of the season.

15.) 10 Aug 2018 21:28:22
Johnbhoy that is a nice idea but I just can't see that being true.
No way is lawell paying a wages just to look after a player that has already left and I don't think that Rogers would stand for that either.

16.) 10 Aug 2018 21:34:20
Looks like he favours a back 3. He's played that about half a dozen times.
Miller isn't a left back we can all see that.
Teirney played around 60 games last season because the gaffer obviously didn't really trust anyone to play it.
If there was some one able to play it in the development squad well enough they'd be in the first team squad
Fact of the matter is we had one LB in our squad last year so the position needed cover now we have it and fans still not happy.

17.) 10 Aug 2018 22:47:37
correct bw.

18.) 10 Aug 2018 22:47:46
Izzy wanted away last season as he was afraid of agents who were threatening him over money . Hopefully he now feels the threat is over.

19.) 11 Aug 2018 00:43:59
Never heard so much bull S! In my life the guy is a class act always has been always will be. Any other team in the SPL would love him as their left back.

Yes he is here to support and cover for KT our number 1 left back and quite rightly so but Emilio is solid cover and will do us more than proud when called on.

Again welcome back Emilio ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’š.

08 Aug 2018 17:00:42
Anymore on the young lad Chirivella from Liverpool? I had a quick look on YouTube at him and he looks a cracking player with the ball at his feet and loves a tackle n also plays a nice pass.

Nickybhoy

1.) 10 Aug 2018 07:48:05
No doubt golden boy Gerrard will get him now that Windass has went to Wigan.

What about Di Canio for new manager folks?

Nickybhoy

1.) 08 Apr 2019 10:58:03
or tommy Robinson ๐Ÿ™ˆ.

2.) 08 Apr 2019 12:53:41
Di canio would be a disaster, he's a horrible man, aside from that he's not a good manager, he splits dressing rooms.

3.) 08 Apr 2019 13:14:47
Just a suggestion folks.

4.) 08 Apr 2019 13:31:40
also Michael Caine did a great job in "Escape to Victory"

5.) 08 Apr 2019 17:29:11
Seeing as some people are away with the fairies regarding managers here's one for you: Mike Bassett, England Manager

HH.

6.) 08 Apr 2019 19:59:33
Mike is pencilled in for Stevie Gโ€™s replacement Bob.

07 Feb 2019 19:22:37
We must do all we can to tie Burke up fulltime he is a cracking player and clearly loving playing for Celtic. He hasn't even even played any major games yet and I think he will relish skelping the people in paradise and experience the awesome European nights at Parkhead.

The business done in the transfer window was nothing short of excellent so we'll done to the manager and the board.

I pray we get to keep Timo and Toljan as well for next season. Securing Broony to help bring the 10 home and managing to keep these loan stars for a full season or 2 would be terrific for uir club and our supporters.

Hail Hail.

Nickybhoy

1.) 07 Feb 2019 20:10:14
Nick wba paid 15 mill for the boy we've no chance unless they drop there price or we do another loan.

2.) 07 Feb 2019 20:32:12
Mally what if WBA keep his ears and we buy the rest I reckon weโ€™d get Burke for about ยฃ8m? โ˜˜๏ธ๐Ÿ‘.

3.) 07 Feb 2019 21:48:16
What about a two ear loan JFP.

4.) 07 Feb 2019 21:56:20
They're some size jfp his maw should have pinned them back ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†.

5.) 07 Feb 2019 22:11:28
Only need to win the league to get the treble now as weโ€™ve already got the League Cup and the Scottish Cup.

6.) 08 Feb 2019 09:15:37
Burke is a cracking piece of business as is Weah. Both have started better than most could have wished for. Would love to see both back next season and we should do everything within our power to make it happen ( although Iโ€™d imagine getting Weah back might be more achievable than Burke) . Same with toljan, he looks a very good RB, hopefully these guys love the place so much that could help in any future dealings with them and theyโ€™re respective clubs.

7.) 08 Feb 2019 14:16:41
I'd love to see the players we currently have on loan have their deals extended but given the shocking tackles our players are having to put up with week in week out, I can't see this happening if the players are being watched by their parent clubs. If nothings done about opposition players continue to get away with what could well be career threatening tackles, it could also hamper our clubs attempts to bring more quality players in on loan in future I'm my opinion.

Saw the Mcgregor tackle in the Aberdeen game, flying in with studs raised, absolute shocker and lucky he didn't make contact or that could have resulted in a serious injury.

23 Jan 2019 22:12:46
Lovely football tonight I'm hoping that's the bhoys are back to their best.

Sinky was like him old self hope he keeps that up too.

Burke and Weah excellent business and will help deliver another treble.

I heard the sevies got beat again ๐Ÿ˜‚ oh dear how sad never mind.

Nickybhoy

1.) 23 Jan 2019 23:20:37
The foundations are layed for number 8 letโ€™s get our players back from injury and really kick on now blowing teams away c'mon u Bhoys in green superp ๐Ÿ€.

21 Jan 2019 17:55:11
Ed what's your thoughts on the next 5 games? Do you see us winning them all? I'd say if we go on a good run here and the sevies drop a few points here and there then we should be wrapped up for end of February with the league title?

Also Ed are you confident about the Valencia tie?

I see young Weah being a cracking bit of business and hope to get him signed up for further 12 months after the initial loan deal finishes.

Nickybhoy

{Ed007's Note - Yes I see us winning the next 5 league games and start to move away from the rest. The Valencia tie will depend on the away leg imo, I do think we're capable of beating them at home and if we can also keep a clean sheet that would go a long way to seeing us go through. They're still trudging along in the league drawing a lot of games so it could come down to the away goals rule.}

1.) 21 Jan 2019 21:14:12
I'm confident about the league because I've seen the level of play we are capable of this season, and I think that will be more consistent in the second half due to less games and players coming back from injury. More competition with the additions also.

As for Valencia, who knows, but it will strongly depend on what kind of level we are at during that time. I don't see us as favourites considering how inconsistent we have been this season.

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't have us down as favourites but we've got a good chance if the team play the way we know they can.}

2.) 21 Jan 2019 21:37:13
I reckon if we can hold them to a draw away leg we will beat them home tie.

3.) 21 Jan 2019 22:02:03
As long as we don't give away any silly goals like we have done in Europe (Gordon) then we have a good chance. I can see them just trying to play for a draw at Celtic park. A 2-0 would be perfect and hopefully get an early goal to kill the tie off.

4.) 21 Jan 2019 22:27:31
A good chance I agree. It's a great tie, Europe after Christmas and something to play for. I was actually thinking of going to Valencia for a few days round about then, Do you think there would be any chance of getting a ticket or would they all be snapped up by season ticket holders?

5.) 21 Jan 2019 22:20:54
The loan signings are ideal for getting us off to a fast start and build a good lead early in new year . Hope we get the big striker up and running too.

6.) 22 Jan 2019 10:21:13
Isleogreen, they have a massive stadium, I'd be confident of getting a ticket if I was you. Flight prices are an absolute joke tho. I was planning on going myself but can't now as my son has a competition on in Bolton and the wife couldn't drive down there herself ๐Ÿ˜‚.

7.) 22 Jan 2019 10:22:36
Isle ogreen, youโ€™ll be able to get a ticket for the Valencia end and if you behave yourself, you wonโ€™t get any problems. Iโ€™ve done it loads of times.

16 Jan 2019 12:07:13
Ed how do you see the next 2 games going against the sevies? I would like to see us destroy them at both Celtic Park and ibrokes.

Also Ed do you think there will be much of a gap at the top of the league at the end of the season when we have won another title?

Nickybhoy

{Ed007's Note - We'll hump them and win the league by at least 8/10 points.}

1.) 16 Jan 2019 22:01:35
sitting on the fence again Ed? lol
I tend to agree.

{Ed007's Note - There's no sitting on the fence on this FREE to comment speakeasy ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜

Mulumbu is a good addition he walked the league last year. He stood out in a good killie side last season.

Well experienced and a bit of muscle in the middle of the park. He will be great support for Broony and Ntcham.

Still hoping defence gets sorted.

Some of you guys mentioning a replacement for Dembele if he goes who would yous suggest or who do you think we could be looking at?

Dundee day in and made it hard. The bhoys just kept plugging away and got their goal at the end.
I thought wee Hayes was good today when he came on and brown played well as well.

Time to rest for some of the players and get ready for he next person skelping

Here we go 10 in a row ๐Ÿ€.
