So much doom and gloom from people who play too many computer games and think we should be signing players just to say we've spent money. Got to remember that a good transfer window isn't just about who you buy, its about who you keep hold of too.

Moussa
Jozo
KT
Armstrong

All could have left, all staying.

Add to that Roberts back, a very impressive centre mid in Ntcham and a back-up/ competition for MD and LG in Edouard adds up to a very good transfer window.

So we didn't sign a centre half, aw well. You only have to look down south and at Barcelona to see that no matter how much money you have, you don't always get things your own way in the transfer window.

This summers business = 9/10.

Fair point LM but we should have addresses the CH issue. Going into the CL with Bitton at CH could be a disaster.

Exactly mate. Its been a great window for us. A cb would be nice but the right player clearly hasn't been available.

Were in the champions league and kept hold of all our players. Great success.

Do you not think eric Jozo or boyata would be more suited than our midfield? Surely bitton is only a stand in temp as of right now? Not to mention lustig. Such a nonsense post.

LM

I agreed with your post but we shouldn't just be thankful about what we have. We need to build from a position of strength.

It is great we kept the boys you mentioned and I am happy with Roberts and Ntcham but on the negative side we are weaker at the back than we were last season when we had Kolo and Emilio in reserve if needed. I also feel Hayes wasn't needed, have you ever heard of a senior player signing and 5 weeks later being linked with a loan out? Benyu? We just have to wait and see with him but he is rough around the edges and won't see much action this season.

Total agreement NialH, the money's there to give us the best team possible regardless of champions league or not, but year in year out it fails to materialise. It's bull this we held onto players, they are on a contract and while we're successful are more likely to stay if the investment is there and we improve the team to get even better never mind cover areas were short in . If KT is injured and Central defence isn't strengthened will the guys saying we've done enough still be saying that when away to Bayern and PSG never mind the SPL? Biscuit tin mentality still there just there's more biscuits in the tin lol.
