Seen an article this morning saying Celtic aren't training at Rosenborgs ground before the match. Why would this be? You wouldn't be working on tactics or anything important at an opponents ground it would be a light session at most.

Is it not an artificial pitch to? Would have thought Brendan would have wanted the players to get a feel for it to be honest! Seems a strange one.

I'm sure we've had it explained on here before that the away team is always entitled to train at the home stadium the night before a European match so that they can get a feel for the pitch etc. Someone might be able to correct me if I'm wrong though.

As far as i know it was our decision not too train on it for whatever reason.

Sorry, I completely misread the OP. Thought you said it was odd that we ARE training at the ground. That is unusual if we've decided not to bother.

Perhaps a different psychological approach? I can't think of any other reason not to familiarise the players with the stadium.

We have a great deal riding on this tie and I would hope we get the preparation and selection spot-on.
BR must have a good reason for this change of protocol and we do have several players not quite up to speed or full fitness and he may be being cautious and canny?

Its a plastic pitch. Maybe with Griff and Eric coming back from injury he does not want to risk any further injury? Or is Griff not fit to start and he can't train so he does not want to give selection away?

Their pitch is a hybrid.
