Supposedly the sheep have accepted our bid for Hayes,1.3m plus Christie for a season! Seems a bit much to me and not happy about Christie! But Brendan obviously wants him so he'll get my support.

Just what we need, a 30 year old from Aberdeen

Last 16 of the Champions League is a definite now we are signing players at Sevco level.

Can't say I'm impressed by this. I had really hoped we'd turned a corner and would only see CL level or promising youngsters. I really hope he's not our first choice target for that RAM spot.

Now to tow the 'in everything Celtic do we trust' line, and churn out some positives; He's good enough domestically (not hard) . I'd have him over Forrest (not hard) . He's a Celtic fan (might have made that up, not sure) . Perhaps the analytics guys have spotted something I haven't (this is hard) . Sometimes when putting a jigsaw together, it's easiest to start with the corner pieces (after that BS, I'm done) .

As for Christie going out on loan, if he's obviously not part of BR's plans right now, regular games might be best. Sometimes I wonder if it's best to have a youngster out on loan or in and around the superior first team and coaches. I guess it's down to the individual and those that aid his development. So no complaints there.

Kev t. he's a good player . we should have taken a chance on him 5 year ago though . spl great europe? . is he for the squad or replacing Roberts that is the worry for me . good squad buy or biscuit tin again and squad filled out with loans.

If we're serious about being in Europe after Christmas then we're going to need strength in depth and Hayes is more than good enough to set up and score plenty of goals for us domestically. He's untried in Europe but his recent form has earned him international caps for a decent ROI team.

Give the guy a chance, he's not played a game yet! Hayes will be a good signing for us, he's quick and has good distant shooting skills. These are attributes that win games. So what he's 30? Still got a good 4 years left in him, he looks fit just now and will only get fitter under our training regime.
I think this is the first of a few good quality players coming in.

We have so many experts here, I am surprised that the club which is often accused of the biscuit tin mentality, went to the expense and bother of appointing Brendan Rodgers as manager .

DRB - we have a squad full of good players, now is the time to sign better.

Of course I'll support the player, all the players get that chance. Remember when Ciftci signed folk on this site said he'd score loads for us and now look at him.

Lots of SPL players we signed did well against Celtic 95% of them fail to make the grade

Signing Hayes for me is not good enough, even if it's back up to Paddy Roberts if he signs.

That's not what the guys on here are saying, he is a cracking we player, we may all well have to eat humble pie. I think it's about the board here, we are getting mixed messages, rodgers surely would have urged money when signing his contract. Plus bid dd said last 16 .

But maybe they want it for very little investment, let's be real here the board have infuriated us before. They have made massive pre tax profits from Brendan alone, plus cl money. We can afford it big time. All we want is just to see some ambition. It's like buying a Ferrari and pitting fiat pinto wheels on it.

got to laugh on here folks talking about players age hayes being 30! let me see . brown 31 best season by far. lustig 30 still going strong . sinclair 28 quality . who cares what age they are if BR wants hayes he must see something in him does anyone think rodgers will be a yes man and just accept his lot from the board NO CHANCE he would be off in a shot said before hayes has ability and i trust the coaching team implicitly . after last season how can people moan really.

Old man . why did they go to the bother and expense with oneill and then not back him aftet two year? . mcann telling burns if he wanted another player hed have to buy one himself. and tbe duds brought in under delia . Our board have a history of not backing managers and taking the cheap option . Hopefully under rodgers this changes.

Simply if O'Neil had been allowed to continue signing £5-£6 m players on massive wages in their late 20's and early 30's on long contracts the club could have gone burst . D D who insisted on getting O'Neil in, also saw the need to put a halt to him and bought in Lawwell with the instruction to cut back spending and reduce wage bill. In fact damage was so bad in board's mind last season was first season of increased spending .

Kev T you speak about Clichi, I speak about Armstrong . Many smart people reckoned Armstrong wasn't Celtic class.
