Hi all, I've not been to Parkhead out with a supporters bus for a long long time. I'm taking the car to the Heroes game for the kids first visit to Paradise.
My question is, where is the best place to park nowadays?
I used to dump the car half way along London Road but I was thinking the Forge?
Time wise it will be around 12pm till 4.30pm.
Thanks in advance.

I park on shettleston just along from the forge. Bit longer walk, but good for getting away at the end!

Don't know where your from mate or how fit u r, but a would consider the train, good wee walk right enough, failing that get someone to drop u off if possible, there'll be even more cars that day than usual cos guys like maself would drive if a had the kids wae me instead of getting the train n a few pints wae the lads.

Joe you'll get parked in the forge car park away at the back end no problem. 10 miles walk to either end past all the health food vans which has to be part of the kids experience! Hope you have a great day! ☘️.

I will be driving from Fife, train probably more trouble than its worth so i will be driving. Your right about more cars than usual so I best get there early. Was looking for a cheap hotel to stay the night before but they are all through the roof price wise. Probably because of cup final day and the heroes game.

just dump the car wherever and report it stolen. Go tae the match and then come oot. If not marked with a police aware sticker then drive hame. If marked they will probably have called your house to report it found. dead easy. BTW I AM just joking.
This was based on an American I worked with on the rigs off GT Yarmouth. He got drunk and ran his car into a roundabout in the early hours. He wandered home and got his wife to report the car stolen. He actually watched them remove his car from said roundabout from a wee pub just off it when they called to say they had located his vehicle. (This was in the 70's and there were a lot of rig hands from all over down there.

Jfp sometimes it feels like you were right the first time ( 10 miles) if you get the train lol 😁.
