I heard we are looking at swap deal with Hearts. Calum Paterson with GMS.
Would love this. I think Paterson looks a class act on his day.

1.) 21 Jul 2016 21:25:00
Would take that. GMS has always disappeared in big games.
Said that before he even signed for us.

2.) 21 Jul 2016 21:45:48
I like decent young players as squad fillers. Unless they are our own I don't see the point. If we sign a 18-21yr old player that can start then yeah I'm for it. Just wish we had better first team news.

3.) 21 Jul 2016 22:01:04
Maybe he could be converted in to a ball winning midfield player, that we lack, he is a very good player at full back, and has he not played up front as well, or am I getting mixed up?

4.) 21 Jul 2016 22:21:41
He's not the standard we should be looking at.

5.) 21 Jul 2016 23:13:44
Within two years if we swap G M S with Patterson we the Internet cynics will be wanting to swap Patterson with another SPL player .
I think its the hatred of us takes the best out of him when he plays against us.

6.) 22 Jul 2016 01:38:24
Your point old boy is that he isn't good enough?

7.) 22 Jul 2016 08:53:31
dosent matter who we sign as the way our support is atm we could sign pogba and if he makes a mistake he would get the same treatment as everyone else, when did we become so fickle, season ain't started yet and were already moaning about going out the qualifiers, maybe we should get back to actually supporting the team until such a scenario happens.

8.) 22 Jul 2016 10:08:03
Agree with bhoywonder. Our fans are do sceptical these days, it's embarrassing. If Celtic sign a player, why not see how he performs in our jersey before you start all the "aw he was pish there" and "oh but his record ". Celtic will not sign house hold names, if you believe we will then you're a numpty.

Get behind whoever comes in and actually give them a chance to succeed. The demand from the support is unrealistic in my opinion as I personally think the quality in the Scottish game is at an all time low and Celtic is no different.

I hope I am proved otherwise. HH.

9.) 22 Jul 2016 11:36:32
Old Bhoy. did you know that Paterson is a Tim? He doesn't hate us at all, he's a Celtic fan!

10.) 22 Jul 2016 15:07:51
Kev did you not know that old thinks every one born outside the roi hates Celtic, this is the guy who hinted that because you didn't rate effe you must be a racist 😆.

11.) 22 Jul 2016 20:20:47
100 percent guys but ah don't know if its jist me but worse case scenario if celtic were tae get put oot the champ league I for one would be fkn outraged thit we never had the extra players in thit EVERBODY knows we lack hope am wrang
edo shut yur face.

12.) 22 Jul 2016 23:58:18
Bhoywonder spot on . We signed a young player a couple of years ago and he excelled and even won player of the year . That player Johanson through playing through injury his formed dropped and some of our fans hurled abuses at matches and on forums . Johanson got disillusion and suffered a drop in confidence and it appears he is about to leave .
Has the fans hasten his departure? Does P L ever wonder what's the point?

13.) 23 Jul 2016 03:06:32
Kev 1962 your wrong. Very wrong he is a hearts fan not a celtic fan. Why tell lies?

14.) 23 Jul 2016 06:46:58
patterson is a jambo as far as i'm aware.

15.) 23 Jul 2016 22:23:05
Old bhoy, maybe there is an element of our support that are racist towards Norwegians ?

Sky Sports coverage of Scottish football is nothing short of shameful. I honestly think they purposely make our game look amateurish to make the EPL look amazing. Which it isn't.
BT to Sky is like the gap with us to Sevco.

1.) 24 Dec 2016 14:48:28
Embarrasing Joe, Sky are a joke. Have they sent all their best outside broadcast equipment down South to cover that over-priced set up? At least BT show some passion in Scottish football. Sky should just f*** Off and let BT get on with it. BT should try and get Iain Crocker to move to them. Without him Sky would be even more awful.

2.) 24 Dec 2016 15:59:35
Agree with all of that BigRab. At least we got a Christmas miracle when Walker was silenced for 15 mins.

3.) 24 Dec 2016 18:01:15
I got rid of SLY months ago, but caught the game on my sons telly; Their pundits and panel are all biased and bitter, while the very limited camera coverage denies us in-depth oversight or replays.
They definitely do not deliver value for money in Scotland and BT (especially with big Sutton) provide a far superior service.

01 Nov 2016 22:34:09
Playing keep ball in the last 10 minutes was probably the most frustrating piece of football I've seen. What was all that about? Good performance but in still miffed about the last 10.

1.) 01 Nov 2016 22:44:09
Maybe the guile of Kriss Commons would have been the answer to all the side to side and backwards passing.

2.) 01 Nov 2016 22:54:58

Its been a while since I've shouted at the tv that's all i'm saying lol.

3.) 02 Nov 2016 09:10:04
I was very frustrated during and after the game, even thought there was spells we couldn't pass to our own players.
I know I'm probably being very over critical, but just feel a bit of belief , some quick slick passing, we could have won last night, and against Man City.

Jozo, Kolo and Griff all didn't travel. Serious defensive crisis. Holy Moly!

1.) 31 Oct 2016 17:34:47
Yip-read that-defensive crisis indeed Joe. Jozo is the biggest blow for me to be honest as (1) I wouldn't have played Toure anyway and (2) Grifiths is shecht at centre half. O'Connell or Efe then beside Eric the Viking? 🍀.

2.) 31 Oct 2016 19:19:34
If Effe plays Brendan needs arrested on the spot.

3.) 31 Oct 2016 19:53:57
The jail for Brendan is a bit harsh Magicpole 🍀.

4.) 31 Oct 2016 22:47:22
Unfortunately for Brendan and possibly Celtic Brendan doesn't have the option of picking Ambrose.

5.) 31 Oct 2016 23:10:39
Play 3 at the back with Lustig, Erik and O'Connell. we could them have Gamboa and Izzy as WB's with Brown, Armstrong and Rogic across the middle and Sinclair behind Moussa.

6.) 31 Oct 2016 23:11:25
Very very true Chris, Efe never even made the CL Squad (y)

7.) 01 Nov 2016 06:42:39
Y'know guys, putting on my green tinted specs, maybe whoever is picked will step up and give us a surprise. feeling like serious underdogs might just be that spur. (maybe)

8.) 01 Nov 2016 10:40:09
I forgot Effe wasn't in the squad. It's like getting the news the fight you had pencilled in at 4 with a guy who would boot you senseless had broken his leg at PE. Phew!

30 Sep 2016 00:33:36
Half this site have already got Dembele sold to the EPL. All we seem to read is what players are worth, signing on clauses etc. I don't give a monkeys what we sell a player for. I want to keep them. Cherish them. I can't remember constantly talking about what we might get for Henke etc. What's changed?

1.) 30 Sep 2016 03:45:28
When mcgeady left celtic we became a selling club. On top of that our model is now to develop players and sell them for a profit. Not only that our wage cap has been lowered, which makes it harder to keep players when EPL clubs come calling.

2.) 30 Sep 2016 07:48:50
the difference is that he chose us rather than the glitz and so called glam of the EPL, he put his career first, i wouldn't be surprised to see him honour his contract and move at the end of it.

3.) 30 Sep 2016 07:55:24
we are not saying we want him to go

we didn't want ki, vic, dvd, foster, hooper, etc etc to go - but they wanted to play in Engerland and that's that. If dembele/ Tierney want to stay and get paid (whats our wage cap ed? ) then they will stay - but if we as a business need the cash. then we may sell even if they want to stay.

A team at the bottom of the epl or near the top of the E Champ can spend 25mil and not blink.

4.) 30 Sep 2016 08:44:23
Moussa came here to get better and experience nights like Wednesday.

Let's enjoy his talent while he is here.

He has been up front with his ambitions and future plans - to become the best striker in the world, therefore we can all expect him to leave at some point.

Henrik was unique, talent, loved the club and always said he was happy to stay. That's why no one really talked about him moving on. Plus the financial gap was not a vast as it is sadly today.

Let's accept the fact, that for now our best players will leave, but not hold it against them or the board. Enjoy the good times while we have them.

I personally hope we bring in a few 'good uns' at the same time a do something a bit special (treble, Europa league, last 16 etc) along the way.

Good times troops

Hail hail.

5.) 30 Sep 2016 10:13:43
It first hit me when Kenny Dalglish left, that Celtic was not the be-all and end-all of clubs, like I wanted to believe.
Unfortunately, since then we have sold many top players - some of whom stayed for longer than others; although in today's market, we can at least command a decent fee (with add-on's) .
The important thing is to enjoy them while they here and make them feel wanted and appreciated.

6.) 30 Sep 2016 11:19:07
Nobody wants dembele or tierney to go anywhere but the reality is there are much bigger and better things out there than football in scotland.

It's nothing to be embarrassed about much bigger clubs than ours sell there players and have to suck it up.
Barca and madrid are the prime locations these days but they can offer a climate and a better way of life not to mention success at the top end off football.

I'm still a romantic tho when it comes to tierney because he's a tim and hopefully he won't want to give that up.

7.) 30 Sep 2016 13:31:24
I mean who wants to stay and plays absolute dross - like Rangers!

8.) 30 Sep 2016 16:32:48
Who's rangers 😉 lol.

9.) 30 Sep 2016 16:57:10
We would love to keep these guys but there is a clown called Lawwell who always sells our best players and stalls any progress in the team.

10.) 30 Sep 2016 21:54:16
I think we are lucky to have Lawwell who gets us the top money for players who have informed our club and their agent that they no longer want to ply their trade in the SPFL .
Whether we like it or not it is pointless trying to keep a player against his will. His form will suffer and he may destroy team spirit, so when a player really wants to go the only question left is how much?

11.) 30 Sep 2016 23:08:28
If they are offered decent wages payed by other big clubs they won't leave. As long as his £1m a year bonus gets paid that's all that bothers him.

12.) 02 Oct 2016 13:30:08
Jamesbhoy67. I don't suppose that u have ever informed your employers that between wages &bonuses they are paying you more than you think u are worth .
Why do u expect P L to be different .

28 Sep 2016 22:32:25
If only a game lasted 40 minutes instead of 90. Tom Rogic would be a world superstar!

1.) 28 Sep 2016 22:49:16
And he had a right foot.

2.) 28 Sep 2016 22:58:01
If he can play 50 minutes like that every match I'll be a happy bhoy.

3.) 29 Sep 2016 11:04:46
here's a thought - stick him on for the last 50 minutes.

4.) 29 Sep 2016 22:18:51
Digibanger Rogic this season gets stuck in and displays his vast range of skills in the first half when everyone is at their best . It's remarkable what he contributes in the first half through his skill strength and determination when the opposition are at their best, Armstrong or no one else could put in such a determined effort and get the same results as T R achieves in first half . Armstrong even struggled last night even when the English tired.

If people are so sure it's big Malkey they should get over to a bookies as he is currently 20/ 1. Whereas Rodgers is 1/ 10. They are seldom wrong and I hope this time they are correct and it is BR.

Or 23 in the last 4 seasons if you want to use stats. All league goals, for Sunderland, who create very little compared to other teams in the league. If he stayed clear of injury (which is obviously not easy) i think he would score plenty up here. Am I desperate to sign him? Nope! Would I welcome his signing should it happen? Yes I would.

I agree, but the problem with that is in tennis it's a straight in or out. Football decisions are different. What you think is a penalty others don't. What certain referees think differ from other too. It could cause even more controversy.

mcgregor played as well as anyone before he was wrongly sent off in my opinion. Terrible decision from a terrible referee.
