Just looking at the Europa League results, on our form in CL I think we would have nothing to fear from any of them and many who would drop down from CL. Definitely a buzz about the club and cannot imagine LG wanting away from that.

So did inter and souththampton go out?

beer sheva drew 1-1 with Southampton to put them out on their arse.

As the Europa goes on it makes our five goals against Beer Sheva look better and better and we would certainly have been a force in that tournament.
However, the Thursday - Sunday consequences are never welcomed by clubs and supporters.

This might sound daft, but here goes. If and when we qualify for the CL next season, I'd like us to progress, make no mustake about that. But there's a part of me that wouldn't mind dropping into the EL. If we keep going the way we're going we might have a ruddy good crack at the EL. And the more footy tje better as far as I'm concerned.

And the sevconians in an act of desperation were using the beer sheva away game as a means to slag us, once again like there team way off the pace beer sheva proving they're a decent outfit.

The are a good team, they beat Inter home and away and I'm sure I read that they have only lost something like 3 times at home in europe.

Jim Tim We need to do our damnest to get into the Champions League . We could get an UEFA League group from Hell that could have us struggling for results without the glamour of Champions League Football.

Hopefully in the early rounds of qualifying we don't come across Dundalk . In July they are mid season and play on arttifical pitch . They have just been knocked out of the UEFA Cup having beaten 2/ 3 good teams on the way .

Chris, financially, the CL is pretty important to us. Although we don’t budget ourselves on it, the money gained there each year could go a long way to us seeing a better, more entertaining side on the park, developments to the Club and ground etc. But in a strange way I’d just like to see us at some point drop into the EL and have a good run in that. You say we could get a tough group even in the EL, so surely the “glamour” would still be there? There are still some pretty big clubs that get in the EL. I just think of the road to Seville, and despite getting beat in a final, how much more I savour that to getting the last 16 of the CL. That’s just my opinion though. As for Dundalk, we shouldn’t be worried about them at all.

{Ed007's Note - Why would we need to play through a EL group? Just drop down from the CL group straight into the EL. That way we've banked the CL money, getting a crack at a run in the EL and it gives us European football after Christmas.}

That's exactly what I meant Ed, dropping into the knock-outs, from the CL - having enjoyed a few games and as you say, banked the money. I was just referring to what Chris said regarding a EL group. Those big clubs would still be there in the knock-outs (you'd expect anyway) .

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

Nice to see u all positive about the CL ed and what it brings.
Good to know I can change your mind.
Now for Craig Gordon LOL.

{Ed007's Note - I've not changed my mind mate. I wasn't one of the ones who stopped backing the Club or team because we weren't in it. If we qualify we qualify and if we don't we don't, Scottish football is our bread and butter and will still be long after the whole rigged charade of the CL is long gone.
Did you enjoy watching us lose 7-0 to Barca? Remember, results don't matter as long as we're getting the money.}

Your right ed results don't matter so much, simply because we can't win it, EVER.
So all we can do is make the best of it and its obvious the fans love the nights at Celtic park.
Yes I did enjoy the Barcelona game but not the result, I can see past it and see the benefits to the club despite these bad results.
Anybody who thinks we can go into the CL and beat likes of Barcelona regularly are deluded we can live off the last one for while lol.
Fans still talk about these games againsnt Barca, Juve, Man Utd etc that tells u everything.
U can never take away Naka free kick for eg.

Rayman we can say we won it when it was still a legitimate competition or at least more of a fair competition than the corrupt garbage on view these days.

14.) 09 Dec 2016
09 Dec 2016 22:24:00
Why is it corrupt, because we don't like it?
If that's your point isn't the Scottish and league cup corrupt too.
We can't have it both ways.

{Ed007's Note - Are the SFA and clubs trying to stop smaller teams qualifying and sharing the money involved?Is the Scottish Cup set up for the biggest and richest clubs to get the most money out of it and reach the latter stages?
What a stupid statement - even for you!}

Your the expert on here ed, so tell me what the money is to ourselves compared to the other teams?

{Ed007's Note - You don't have a clue what you're talking about and I won't be wasting anymore time answering you. Hibswon the Scottish Cup, if you can explain how that was rigged I'll explain it to you.}
