Think so many people are gona be so disappointed when this marquee signing doest turn up

I for one am not bothered. I don't think we need a marquee LOAN signing to have an impact in Europe.

I'd rather get our own players. but it doesn't have to be a marquee 1 but a quality 1 who goes into the first team. maybe a sinclairs situation. were he has fallen of the radar in England for a bit

But I don't believe for a moment there is a marquee signing on the way. but that's not saying I wouldn't be happy if it did. depending on who it is.

Like to see rodgers using old Chelsea contacts and getting (buy) pasalic or van ginkel (or both) from them.

Would definitely prefer a signing instead of a loan.
We have had a real mixed bag with loans in recent years, with maybe only Denayer, (Forster at first) and Roberts making a real impact - and when they leave, we are back to square one.
I know quality signings are not a guarantee of success, or that they will stay long-term, but we usually get a good price for the players who choose to move on.

I'm a big fan of a loan with a fee agreed at the end. Give club chance to try before you buy. If it don't work out u are only out of a years wage and not stung for a big fee and few years wages like boriggter.

That would be the way for me too Madyin, even if it mean paying a % of the transfer fee as a loan fee.
