Troy I don't believe this for a second, I'm a massive man utd fan my second team and been down and seen him play a few times he honestly is so under rated he wins challenges that can't be won but again some would probably see him sent off with the orange l*dge referees up here, but signing him would be one of the best bits of business we could do a good old win the ball cb. It's the mad season for everyone and there granny getting a mention but I keep hearing from a good few sources about a cb from the dutch league someone said his name before but I can't remember it.

{Ed007's Note - Is the Dutch CB Xavier Mbuyamba? He currently plays for FC Volendam but spent some of his youth career at Barca and Chelsea. I'd love for Celtic to sign him just to hear Pablo trying to say his name on the podcast! ?

I'm honestly not sure of the name Ed but I've heard now from 2-3 different people he's on BR wanted list but surely if he has that pedigree they will be looking for some fee, but saying that if he can play with CCV and we got Tierney and AJ on the right what a defense we could have would just love a gk aswell.

{Ed007's Note - FC Volendam's record fee received is the €3.5 million they got from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2021. They aren't known for receiving big fees - or any decent fees to be honest as the only other player they've sold for €1+ million was Robert Molenaar who signed for Leeds for €1.4 million - and that was in 1997!}
I'm guessing here but I'd be surprised if we paid any more - or much more - than €2 million for Mbuyamba.}

To be honest cb88 a can’t see any truth in it myself but like you a rate the guy as well nvr seen him have a bad game, but not seen him play for utd much either, a was hoping it’s 1 wee could mb sneak under the radar ?.

Troy he is a proper cb would love to see that 1 happen mate. Thanks Ed I didn't know that I've heard this now from a few different people if he is good enough and fc volendam are able to work on a smaller fee this could make really good business especially after VVD.

KT is too injury prone and the loan fee Arsenal would most likely demand, could be spent signing a player permanently.

No disrespect to KT, class player but paying a substantial loan fee with risk of KT potentially missing good few games is not strengthening team.

{Ed007's Note - You'll never know unless you ask. All this talk of Man Utd wanting £30 million for McTominay is true but that's if another Pub League team want him, a team in say Germany wouldn't be quoted £30 million.
It would need McTominay wanting the move to Celtic but why not ask Man Utd to give us him on loan for a year with say a £2/3 million loan fee and an option to buy him next summer for £10 million when he will only have a year left on his contract.
Unless there is an option to buy on any loans this summer I hope they get binned.}
