The timing of player sales is always tricky but selling GG now for such a low ball offer whilst chasing a treble seems all wrong. He makes a real impact from the bench and there is an argument he should be getting more minutes or even be our No1 striker. If he stayed he would probably score 10-15 until the end of the season, will anyone we bring in do the same? As he is under contract I'd have offered him more cash on same contract (who would refuse that) and promise him more game time and that we would let him go in summer. A sale now for €3.5m is madness.

Hard to argue with that, Chinks.

Above post correctly saying GG makes positive impact from the bench, but thoughts on another player who has plummeted down the pecking order but on Saturday showed what kind of impact he can make. Most on here would say David Turnbull isn't good enough to make our midfield but on Saturday it was him that ran beyond the striker and had the shot for GG to tap in. GG gets the praise. DT is our only midfielder that can run beyond the striker and offers something different. Not sure if it's his own performances or if angeball isn't suited to it, but Ange doesn't stray far from his preferred midfield and a forward runner doesn't really feature. Has Ange stunted DTs development? He's not a first pick yet but I'd like to see him getting more minutes. Our midfield goals return is extremely poor.

I think Turnball is a great player and would hope he gets more game time soon. I would hate to lose him.
