Although Duffy has had a rough start, I think he will come good. Not sure Barkas will though. Keepers don't really need the same settling in period, they either save shots or they don't! So far I can't recall any game where he has done anything significant and there are plenty games where it has been the opposite. We missed a trick with Marshall, no fee and would have done a job.

{Ed007's Note - 35-year old David Marshall that has conceded 11 goals in 7 games this season, when was the last time you watched him? He's nowhere near good enough to be a Celtic player now and Bain is better than.
I think all players moving to a new club in a new country need time to settle in, even more so for a GK who has to get used to playing with new players in front of him while a critical spotlight is on him because of the position he plays. Stevie Woods scouted Barkas for over a year and Nick Hammond also watched him and both agreed that he was more than capable of being Celtic's No.1, I have every faith that Woods will get the best out of Barkas.}

I'm thinking the same as you ed, on woods, do you know how rated he is in the game? Every keeper we get he seems to improve them massively! And I think keeping him at Celtic is as important as some of our big players.

{Ed007's Note - I'm really surprised that Woods hasn't been enticed away by a big money offer from the Pub League. I've never heard a bad word about him and it's not just GKs that sing his praises, he's well liked as a man as well as a coach. He's definitely one of the best GK coaches in the UK.}

Good to hear, hopefully he's happy with us and doesn't want to go anywhere else.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

Watched Marshall last season, plenty shut outs. Seen him today also, made a few cracking saves. Fact is he was free and would do a job, maybe as a No2, but imo he is better than Bain and possibly Barkas.

{Ed007's Note - 15 clean sheets out of 40 games while conceding 50 goals last season in the English second division is hardly inspiring stats from Marshall. Barkas kept 16 clean sheets in 33 games last season while conceding 26 goals.
