not a moan or criticism post, but i didn't think we were at our best last night but still won fairly comfortable against a good solid team , some great individual performances a lot of combined team energy effort and fight and a bit of luck when needed, the result was great, only little gripe of the night is our tendency still to overplay. / overpass our attacks, we have the players who can score from the edge of the box and outside it, let's see more of that along with the inter passing around the box area, but sitting top and hopefully staying there.

The feel good factor is back on European nights. Julien Boli and Elhamed now have settled in and all 3 look terrific buys. Still early days but can't see us losing many games this season if we play at a high tempo. Christie was immense and Brown shows again he's not finished and he has plenty left in the tank. 💪🍀🍀I watched spurs get mauled and a Manchester United team with 250 million on show and they didn't have a shot on goal for the full 90 minutes. Best league in the world? 😂😂😂.

I think the performance lacked nothing in certain individual performances, but I didn't think the team performance was that great, and Brown might have enough in the tank and no one doubts his enthusiasm, but I still think he is holding the team back, nine times out of ten when he picked the ball up at the back last night, and there was an opportunity to move it forwards, he passed it back or sideways, as if he lacks the confidence to go forwards, I think if we had bought McGinn, Brown wouldn't be anywhere near the first team just now.

He was outstanding and we would miss him in spades he does the dirty work that no one in the team can do oh and he keeps possession which is king at this level.

I don't mean to be too hard on him, I know what he brings to a team that are under the cosh, and in certain games, he should be played, but in games like last night, I thought he held the team back, he came into prominence because Cludj, were allowed into the game, I thought the team was disjointed, they didn't move forward as a unit, from back to front, once the ball reached Brown, the whole thing went into reverse, you can give him plaudits for keeping possession, if you want, but I think it just gave Cludj time to regroup, we have so many forward players who are sharp of thought and fast of feet, they would benefit from getting the ball moved up to them instead of the ball being passed safely sideways into possession., but that's just the way I see things.

Some people have to have a moan, I thought we were brilliant from keeper to centre forward, great play and energy, one thing that stood out to me is the importance of getting players in in January have settled team for qualifiers. Look at the difference in Julien and boli after a month playing in the team knowing how their team mates play. Forget summer window make big signings in January and we'll walk qualifiers.
