Celtic supposed to be interested in highly rated Dutch U21 defender who plays for AZ Alkmaar a fee of 1.7m being quoted. ED have you heard of this or his name as the report doesn't mention a name?

{Ed007's Note - I've no idea sorry, the only thing with AZ I know about is that they could be a possible destination for Boerrigter.}

Get excited about players from the Netherlands I watch the league round up every week and any live games I get chance. He hasn't played much but has looked decent. Left sided so might fit in nicely alongside VVD. His contract runs out in the summer apparently so might not cost that much.

At least we know if we sell VVD we have a nice cheap option to replace him hope he's good as I can see Virgil leaving this window

VVD is going there is not any doubts about that he would be a replacement not seen him myself but might be good business .

Aye SOS but only because VVD is better on his weaker side than Ambrose. Regardless, VVD will be away in the summer so if we have a replacement lined up he should be bedded into the side now. Then ofcourse when he is sold, a more expensive candidate brought in.

Good shout Jim Tim its never that easy when Celtics concerned. Would have liked that Jean-Armel-Kana-Biyik would have been cheap but we done the usual and left it too late to try

Bravetart, do you genuinely believe that Celtic left it too late to try? Or do you think maybe they just didn't want him in the first place? Just because you like the look of a player doesn't mean our scouts/manager do
