Possession is a worthless stat. Most of our possession was passive and Scales probably had more touches of the ball than any other player. Too often when a pass was on players took the easy option and went backwards or sideways. Hatate is the only player who can do this and without him we are a fairly average team. Khun can go anytime he likes, no fight and why he started over Forrest is truly baffling. Aberdeen clearly had a game plan and penalty practice was part of it whereas 3 of our penalties were terrible.

Celtic play against packed, well drilled defenses almost every week and when we play (like yesterday) without creativity or flair in attack, opponents gain in confidence and belief.
Another issue with me is the lack of a decent free kick taker and with the amount of corners we earn, we should capitalize more.
Overall, we had a great season, although there are areas and positions we need to improve with quality - not quantity.
I also feel switching Maeda week in week out from wide to centre eventually caught up with him as he was expected to be Kyogo as well. Disappointed, but we need to learn from it.

With Kyogo off, Kuhn off-the-boil, and Jota and Hatate crocked, its hard to see where that moment of magic can come from in our present side : ( If it comes down to hustle and tussle there's always teams that can go toe-to-toe.

We surely have the right to be disappointed, but we don’t need to find it funny that at the end of a very long difficult and successful season, we weren’t able to get it over the line against a super defensive Aberdeen side who if they had failed to win on penalties would had to face whatever the fans threw at them because of their ultra defensive tactics didn’t deserve to get anything out of match . It’s a long time since we lost a final only 5 domestic cup finals this decade and last by Kilmarnock 2011-2012, so I am sure us fans don’t know how to react . Most of our supporters are so eager for success in every competition that they have never compared us to Man City .

Our biggest difficulty was since January SPL matches became more and more meaningless, . A combination of tiredness and meaningless matches was very poor preparation for a Cup Final.
