Interesting thread about the FIFA club world cup. Worth a read, especially the comments.

In 2025, first edition of the 32-teams FIFA Club World Cup will be played.

UEFA will have 12 representatives:

- 4 most recent Champions League winners

- 8 highest eligible clubs from the 4-year ranking

There is no confirmation on how this 4-year ranking will be decided. pic.twitter.com/WXqNwpbeub

Sevco have a very serious chance in being involved in this tournament and it’s worth at least £25 Million for participating.

They have about 3 or 4 Coefficient points up their cuff on their nearest rivals, who could pip them for that last place.

I’m hoping Club Bruges can have a good run in the Conference League this season and claw back the difference in Coefficient points between the clubs.

The same twitter account that posted this, above, also specifically commented to say that Scottish media was falsely presenting Sevco as having a realistic chance of qualifying for this, when it simply isn't true. Apparently they have next to no chance, which will likely be the same for us.

I knew Celtic had no chance because we’re about 20 places below Sevco.

But it would be good if only CL Coefficient points counted.
