Mixed feelings about the Turnbull signing - although I have got to congratulate the club's proactive determination early in the window.

On the plus-side the addition of a talented young player will give us more options in attack and goals.
It will either give Rogic and Ntcham a kick up the pants - or indeed allow them to move on to cover cost of this transaction?
Then we have the downside of how these negotiations panned out and the financial implications, that may have other young players at the club looking for some parity and loyalty reward.
Not to mention an agent who has 'form' with Armstrong and could be disruptive again in the future?
John Kennedy will have to eat some humble pie after his gut-reaction to the initial refusal and there will be some supporters who will need convincing that his heart is truly in this move? - If it actually does happen lol.
Finally, I hope it's not an effort to soften the huge blow of a KT bid waiting in the wings as this would be devastating.

On a positive note it seems that Hammond is getting the ball rolling with signings and it shows the club are willing to spend money as £3m for a 19 year old is a sizeable fee. I would still have hunted him though, but having said that I hope I'm eating humble pie and the boy turns out to be a terrific signing👍.

Malky Hammond had nothing to do with this. He hasn't started yet.

Hammond doesn't commence his role until 1st July so will have had nothing to do with this signing.

Just because he doesn't commence his role until 1st July doesn't mean he isn't in dialouge with the club regarding our activity in the market. I may be wrong but it just seems like too much of a coincidence that Hammond was announced then the development regarding Turnbull that's all👍.

Don't know how it works but if I were in the club's shoes I would be reluctant to speak about our transfer activity or targets incase it never worked out and he ended up somewhere else and used the info gained to benefit another club man I've just realised as I was typing this that I am indeed paranoid.
