See we have ended interest in McKenna. Does anyone think we will get a defender in. We obviously have some money to spend but it has to be a experienced cb
. I personally think we need to raise our wage budget a bit to 30-35 grand a week.
I just think players are on absolutely stupid money now a days and if possible raising it a bit might get us that better quality we need. What s your thoughts lads.

We can't afford to spend any more unless we cut the wage bill elsewhere. With the wage bill now at £53mill this season and no CL money we run at a loss unless we sell plsyers.

In 2016 we spent £35m on wages. In 2017 we spent £52m on wages. The rise you want has already happened. Another rise of that nature is just possible with our lack of tv revenue.

Definitely think no champions league this year will have affected our transfer budget.
As you lot have explained we have a massive wage budget as it is and suppose raising it means no transfer budget for next year.
I would be happy with 1 experienced cb in this window and get rid of dead wood, see how we are copin them if required we should have some money left for jan window.

It absolutely astounds me that our wage bill is 1 million pound a week when we're playing for a prize of 3
million a season for winning the league. Would love to see a breakdown of this million pound a week wage bill. A board that won't spend? Don't think so🤔 unless they're feathering their own nests🤔.

Stevie just go get the accounts. These are not made up numbers these are as reported in audited accounts. Wages are for the entire club. There are hundreds of people working there. When we buy a Hayes, Allen, Cifti etc we tie up a lot of wages. Our model is buy and sell. Of late we have not sold too many. Armstrong replaced with Eddy so we are not brining in money. Looking at the accounts i think we will lose £10mill this season so our model is already unsustainable. PL won't gamble on CL money so what do we do?

He gambles on CL money every season by not buying players for the qualifiers.

I have no doubt Johnny that it's not made up numbers. I know we have hundreds of staff working for us and I know a good chunk of those staff will be on low wages too. At a very rough estimate I would say our highly paid employees i. e playing staff, coaching staff, doctors, physios and scouts (Don't know what they do for their wages) 🤔 would eat up £500,000 a week. That leaves half a million a week to pay the lower earners 500 staff aveaging a grand a week? 1000 staff averaging £500 a week? Where can you find the accounts Johnny? and do they give a breakdown of wages?
