I don't have a lot of sympathy for B R as he claims to be a life long supporter of Celtic . In that case he came here as manager with his eyes open and knew all about the Board and it's attitude to spending money .
Brendan knew a major part of his role as manager would be persuading the board to free sufficient funds to sustain his ambitions . At this time, with just 3 weeks left in this transfer window B R seems to be publicly complaining about our board .
So is he admitting defeat in not winning over the board?

Get a grip Chris. If he feels he can't take us any further why would he stay. Supporter or not. It's clear he's been led astray by the board and after winning back to back trebles has every right to feel pissed off at not getting backed. I wouldn't blame him if he walked.

Wow Chris! And you accuse me of talking nonsense? Brendan’s actions for me a fair enough, he has been straight up and said what he thought about the lack of investment. Is he supposed to say, “Oh well, biscuit tin is the model, need to get on with it”? His successes have generated revenues that can be built upon and all he has said is that you need to build on successes by replacing talent. 3 weeks is ample time to make investments, I see his media activity as an authoritative nudge rather than a concession of defeat.

Old man Chris. I have every sympathy with Brendan Rodgers. He doesn't seem to be demanding anything too outlandish from the board yet they still won't back him.
Being a Celtic fan shouldn't mean you can't be ambitious, but that is the impression being given out.
We should look to improve as much as we can year on year. That doesn't mean bankrupting the club or mean that we are living beyond our means, it just means investing a bit of our wealth into strengthening the team. That surely is not too much to ask. I would rather make money by qualifying for the Champions league than by selling our best players
Unfortunately our board seem to want to do it the other way around. By doing this they not only make us weaker on the field, they will also ensure that we lose a very talented manager who will be very difficult to replace.
I am far more in tune with Brendan's vision for Celtic than that of the board. If that means I'm not a fan then so be it.

Brendan knew that PL and board were slow to release money,
His ambitions to progress the club are of course laudable and all us supporters applaud him . However hanging his dirty washing out in public especially with the main stream Scottish media is in my humble opinion the wrong way to do it and in the long run Brendan and us fans could be the losers.

Agree OMC, Rodgers has been backed!
