Talking to a young guy about 19 in the pub. He was moaning about how bad we are this season. So me and a couple of the guys around my age start talking about how it was under guys like Liam Brady and Lou macari.
The bhoy didn't even know who we were talking about.

Jaysus. They are the lucky ones, in the middle of the night when all is still i shudder at the thought of Carl Muggleton.

Kev, I hope you told the young guy to get away up the road and think how lucky he was not to have seen the Macari team. I get a cold shudder down my back thinking about it.
Yes, we haven’t been as consistent as last season. But who can honestly say they expected another invincible campaign.
We could still have another amazing season . 🙏🙏.

FGJ, I don't think they were the lucky ones.
I loved watching Celtic during that era,
I had watched us for many years before that, the great players we had, European success, trophy's galore, Celtic park full on a Saturday playing East Fife, but in the early 90s it was about support not trophies, the players new they were good but not good enough and they appreciated the support, every big victory and there were a few, was greeted with much more jubilation than today's expected procession!
Times are good at the moment but bad times can cement the relationship of club and supporter in a primal way!

I have great memories of those days and I fear that 'We don't care if we win lose or draw' is just a song to young fans today!
By the way can I just wish my hero King Kenny a Happy Birthday, I loved Jinky but for me Kenny will always be King!
