I thought Scott Brown spoke very very well tonight on TV commenting on players been hit with missiles at every away game but nothing done and general anger at our success. Mentioned (1) Motherwell free kick for the own goal wasn't one but nobody said anything and (2) yir man who gave away the penalty that wasn't in the final should have had a straight red st start of game for tackle on Dembelle. What go's around comes around he said. When asked if our players go down too easy Rodgers replied 'Did we not win the fair play award last year? ' I think despite coming from the North of Ireland he is now developing an understanding of the extent of anti-Celtic sentiment in Scotland. Well said our Manager and our Captain. ☘️.

As you can guess from my username I've bee cynical about refereeing in the past.

The two points raised by JFP1888 are absolutely bang on the money. There is no way that anyone should be letting any of the jealous mob take the shine off of the march the Double Treble.

For what it's worth, both challenges on Sinclair and McGregor would have meritted freekicks on the halfway line, it's only Scottish football's typical leniency when the ball is in the box there's any conversation. Anyone who has played the game at even schoolboy level knows that. You lift your hands towards an opponent you're always in trouble.

Having seen the highlights again the free kick that led to their goal and the penalty for ours are both pretty similar challenges. Both soft decisions but if you get the wrong side of the attacker and there's contact, whether it be minimal or not the ref will always blow for a foul as it is one of them challenges you shouldn't be making as the attacker will always get the benefit of the doubt. Seen fouls giving plenty of times but also seen worse not given. Ambrose on Sinclair and Hill on Griffiths to name but two.
