First, let's get the Ambrose thing out of the way, he is well named as he has all the Celtic fans "Efe, ing and blinding" Do I agree with booing a Celtic player, NO, but this guy simply will not or cannot learn from his mistakes, is he really that stupid. It would now be a massive gamble, and a massive mistake, if Rodgers played Ambrose on Wednesday.
So what are our options? Move Lustig to CB and play Janko? If young Ajer is fit play him there but then you have two very young, inexperienced centre backs. Play Toure? probably could not play full 90 minutes but maybe bring him on last 30 minutes.
My team would be along these lines
Gordon, Lustig, Ajer, O'Connell, Tierney, Brown, Johansen, Armstrong, Biton (if fit) Dembele, Griffiths.
Subs Fasan, Roberts, Christie, Toure, Izzaguirre, Forrest
If Rodgers is brave he could play a front 3 of Roberts, Dembele and Griffiths but I doubt he will start with all 3 as we will need to be more defensive minded for their counter attacking.

Really play without Roberts from the start? Do you think he'd be better coming on? I think we have to start him. Give Dembele some less pressured games to get off the mark, Roberts and Griffiths and Biton if fit, Brown, Rogic, Armstrong?

Brown Biton and Johansen shouldn't play together again, the midfield has zero drive when those 3 play together, we're far more effective with Rogic and Armstrong in there.

Tomalley, I don't think it is right to refer Efe Ambrose as a thing . He makes many mistakes, was yesterdays his 33rd, I am not sure did our goalie give him a shout in time . I wasn't far from the incident yesterday and I didn't see any sign of goalkeeper berating him, so maybe he wasn't given instruction . 47,900 at the match less than 5,000 spare seats marvellous crowd . We all know Efe makes mistakes but those who booed a Celtic player shouldn't have come . Not much encouragement or confidence building there.

Old bhoy - Mentioned yesterday in live chat not one Barcelona player in the box for the cross which Efe sliced into his own net. Is his confidence so shot that he just panicked or was he not given a shot by Craig Gordon or his fellow defenders.

One loud shout of "time" or "hold" would have averted latest and possibly Efe's possibly last clanger in a Celtic jersey.

Lots of fans seem to have called time on Efe's Celtic career.

For crying out loud it was a friendly yesterday, anyone with a semblance of a brain knows Efe will not feature in the future, we have at least four centre backs and probably five with O Connell in front of him. Although it is the height of nonsense to suggest that Ajer should be pitched into a position he doesn't play in such a critical game. Has anyone considered why three celtic managers have refused to play Lustig as a centre half. He had one game there against Maribor and was poor when we lost. he doesn't have the physical strength to play there.

There was no need for him to attempt to clear . he panicked . he wasn't game aware of those around him . he made another stupid mistake which he will continue to do no matter who he plays for as it's part of his football dna.

Really Efe's confidence shattered . I wonder why? Surely the greatest supporters in the World wouldn't allow any Celtic player's confidence to drop.
I thought that was what our role should be . Instead by the written word in forums and by the shouts of abuse and boos at games even friendlies a small but very vocal part of our fans .
I tried to try to make out if it was Scottish boos or Irish boos last night . I am sure both Countries would want to disown them .
I know those that chose to boo were further away from Gordon than I was and had no way of knowing whether Gordon shouted or not .

Completly disagree Grout about Lustig at CB thought he was top notch and can't get my head round why after that performance RD did not play him there again. If you remember correctly Marbior actually scored when Lustig was subsituted near the end of the game.
