Sometimes I despair. For the game against the sheepies there are LESS than 30k tickets sold. No one can use the lack of competition on this one as they are coming on to a game, and look dangerous as well. The financial argument does not add up either as this game has been coming for weeks, plenty time to stash cash for a ticket.

I have always been sympathetic to the reasons above, but on this occasion they do not work. After what happened to Lenny we should be packing the game out in a show of support for him and the team.

@GJ disappointed to hear of tickets sold, surely with Aberdeen going so well there fans would travel down in big numbers and our fans should turn out to see 2 good teams.
I actually think Aberdeen will score and thus end Forster's record, and I think we may even need a replay if Aberdeen play to their full potential, also if we treat game lightly we could even be out of cup, that would not sit well with Celtic fans with only the league left.

@GJ . If you say less than 30,000 tickets have only been sold and I take it that counts Aberdeens 5000 then why don't Celtic guarantee every fan who attends that to retain their stubs and if we get to the final their stub would guarantee a ticket or go into a draw for one . Last year I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the final even though my mates who had been to the same games as myself never even got a sniff of one . Get really pi$$ed off when it comes to finals the amount of people who don't attend games seem to turn up with a final ticket . DH

It has happened for years like that DH. Day tripper fans turn up with their half & half scarves and digital cameras just so they can brag at work they were at the game. We have circa 40,000 season ticket holders and this season there must be about 10,000 of those lying unused on a Saturday afternoon for whatever reason (can't they offer it to a relative or friend) but as soon as their is a sniff of a trophy or a big European game they all come out the woodwork, glory hunters who haven't been to a match since the last final are scrambling about for tickets as if they have never missed a game and the sad fact is they usually get them over lads like yourself who turn up every week.

@DH: The perfect solution mate. You would have thought Celtic might have thought of it tbh.

well said lads. I wonder how many fans will go in search of say a "celtic vs sevco" ticket if we draw them?

we are playing the 2nd/3rd best team in the country now on saturday and for only 30k tickets sold that is sh!te

but yet somehow if we play that team that is TWO divisions below us everyone will be scrambling for a ticket. I just don't get it

@Che, GJ . Celtic would never consider an idea like that because too many of their friends and celebrities would miss out on big games . Another thing is ex players who ply their trade elsewhere and players who even play in England but claim to be celtic orientated can lay their hands on briefs no problem . Seville was the biggest farce ever considering the amount people who I met there and knew they never went near Parkhead but managed to acquire a cup final ticket . DH

We have a good system in place with the home ticket scheme. Take your tickets for every home game and semi - final and you would be more or less guaranteed one for the final if we got/get there. The hardcore of around 4-5 thousand who go everywhere should be first in line in my opinion.
