Rumours are going round Rogers has backed out to go to Villa! Looks like it will take a few more days for them to look at other options! Gutted to be honest.

Where are you nearing that they confirmed they are after Di Matteo? I was told by friend of Moyes dad he was the preferred candidate. I seen the report on Sly Sports last night and nobody from Villa park gave any name of who they wanted, just that they would discuss their preferred candidate with the new owner over the next few days. Both Moyes and Rodgers have good records in Championship aswell as Premier league.

Di Matteo has been the Villa favourite for more than 2 weeks, - everyone thought Pearson was getting it until then. The old board spoke about Roberto Di Matteo first of all and he was 1/ 3, and the first thing the guy said yesterday when he completed his takeover was he was in the frame, and spoke about the job he did with M K Dons before moving on to bigger things!
