According to Sly Sports, Hull have tabled a 4 million bid for Hooper. Hope this triggers a bidding war as the Bhoy has checked out of paradise in my opinion. let's see a good £6m bid and he can go with our blessing for being such a amazing goal machine (although, showing no ambition going there but money talks I suppose!)

Agree 100%, but if no more offers,
Would not be bothered if sold for 4.
He has been great for us but as you
Rightly said the boy has checked out.

With big vic poss on way as well, I would prefer us to buy a youngster pref
A Scottish born, and give kayal his rightful place back in the middle.

I just can't get over the fee! £4m is a joke.

This guy scores goals in the champions league, not only in the spl.

We are not here to ensure the epl gets good players cheap. If his Celtic career had been at championship level in England he'd be worth double the £4m.

I'd hold out for £8m anything less is robbery.

Ano its a rumour but going to hull ait gony get hooper in the england team staying at celtic and scoring more champions leauge goals would surely get him a call up. Sep1888

If Hooper really wants to go to a team like Hull then let him go, shows his ambition. Is he really likely to be any closer to an England call up playing with Hull. He's in the last year of his contract, £5million take it. Go for Marc Janko

I seen that as well. Anywhere near the 6 million mark and we've done a good bit of business. If/when the balde deal goes through I think the next priority should be a centre half to play alongside wilson. Let mulgrew play as left back and deliver the crosses from deep for big balde.

Kayal needs to earn his spot as a starter. Did nowhere near enough to prove that he can fill in for Big Vic.

I wouldn't care if he was sold for £4 million. He has no desire to be here anymore, He'd rather languish in the lower half of the Premiership and face possible relegation than stay nad have possible Champions League football again. I'll say it again. he isn't the centre forward people make him out to be. 3-4 touches to get it on the right foot before he shoots, any striker worth his salt can take it 1st time, whether it be left foot, right foot, or even the head, but we all know that Hooper can't/doesn't/won't do this.

sorry Gary, but time to go

With Hooper entering the final year of his contract we have to be realistic. £5million with a decent sell on clause would be fair but I'm hoping we get nearer £6million.

I agree if we get 6 million I think its a great bit of business but hopefully all of that money would be re-invested into the team a left midfielder a centre half if not 2 and another striker are needed to improve the team and keep pressing on from last year.

Kayal is finished as far as I'm concerned, move him on if possible. Ian L

Anything less than 6m for Hooper would be a travesty. Guys a goals scoring machine. Hard to come by. Ian L

Last year of contract why pay more than £4 mil when in January you can sign him for free? Guys saying £8 mil having a laugh we will never get that for a player running down a deal, though it is his worth! I think anything around £5M will see him off, remember we were only offered £4 mil plus upto £5 mil in add ons in January, no one has offered more than £4mil upfront at this point.
