i have been looking on transfermarkt at the number of players who have left Celtic since Rodgers return. 17 in the first season 25 last year . This includes youngsters like Kelly and Rocca as well as retirees like Hart, also loanees who shall not return. this together with very few coming in means a tighter and leaner squad, with better quality. This should at the end of this season a greater freedom in wages and transfers. hopefully with maybe one or two quality additons we can take another step forward. In that respect we should look at Callum Doyle left sided defender on loan at Norwich and Mackensie Kirk as a third striker.

We have failed to bring any young players through in recent years even during a period of domestic dominance. Either the manager thinks the quality is just not there or young players lack patience and a sense of loyalty?

Brendan Rodgers had in the past ( up to say approximately 5 years ago) a good reputation for bringing through youth players and giving them an opportunity to impress on the first team .
I M O there has been a change amongst players agents activities, there was a time when agents didn’t actively try to move many players at around 18 -19 . However players are now been encouraged to move as early as possible, Celtic have lost youngsters to various clubs on the Continent and down South. Some seem to have progressed and others haven’t, some moved in 2019- 2020 and haven’t progressed . Some of those who went to Italy seem to have done well, we are more likely to read about those who are getting first team football than those who are not .
A problem for Celtic is that agents are talking up the chances of moves to young prospects before they can actually move and before he is good enough to play for Celtic . This means player isn’t pledging his future to Celtic and manager is unwilling to play him and give him ist team coaching, only for him to leave for another club.

Great news Engels played one game for Ausberg therefore he can't leave in January. We have him for the year but it woun't be long before he moves for 40 million. I also believe if we qualify for the next round another winger will be bought. perhaps on the left as compitition for Maedaand punt Palma.

I already noticed the media are absolutely going nuts for him. Bbc fawning and gushing like there's never been a decent player in scotland before. In fairness the lads serious class but let's enjoy his growth and journey with us.

Jonace, your squad of players is definitely an improvement than what we have at moment, I am not sure if all players listed would want to come to Celtic or if clubs wanted to sell them .
One big problem, players have contracts and some of those you call others may not want to leave us either permanently or on loan .
We can’t make them leave.

McKenna - no from me
Armstrong - good player when we had him but he couldn't get away quick enough and admitted himself that he only stayed another year as he was finishing off his uni studies.
Edourd - never going to happen, he is on 85k a week, he will go to another mid table epl team or abroad.

I like McKenna but it’s worrying that Hendry, Porteous and an out of position Tierney are played before him.

James of Leeds transfer be to big for us, ad take Miovski instead of edourd and am not sure Jota would return, wouldn’t mind a Cb as hard as McKenna but faster, but who am just not sure ?♂️.

Good transfer window. Not sure about Trusty he didn't make it at Asarnal nor Sheffield. Not first Second or thrid choice, would have preferred MckKenna and sold Palma and Yang and used the money for Jota. If we get through the next round champions league maybe buy a very good window. Glad to see Liebelkie only on loan i believe he has a lot to offer and maybe next season if Rodgers moves on the next manager might have a different opinion.

Taylor won't be going any where, apart from Macgregor he has been our most consistant player in the last five years. Valle is going back to Barcelona in the summer. Dane Murrey playing with Queens Park will come in to the squad next year along with Anderson. to keep our scottish contingent up to the numbers. hopefully this will see more youth development.

look at what i posted ccv if fit if not Narocki or Welsh defending on how they work in training And McCowan and Bernado coming on for Engels and Hatate after 60mins also Kyogo for Meada they will have to do a lot of running. By playing four full backs two in midfield supporting Macgregor their natural instinct is to defend and both Johnson and Valle and very good going forward.
