Has anyone else heard that Lennon is gone tomorrow? Please make it be true.

It is all going to come out in the wash. Board didn't want to pay Lennon off as he would also have been due a bonus if someone else had taken over and won league. Biscuit tin mentality all over again. They thought he would walk. Lennon has put money before the club.

He should have walked but didn't want to give up the money. Both parties have cost us the ten. Lennon as a manager is a shambles, living in the dark ages. Fitness and tactics non existent. Rogic not a rm. Brown is too busy trying to be a tough guy or stand on the ball and show he is a player, offers no movement forward at all.

Christie can't play with his back to goal, he needs to be in cm running up and down, closing down and driving forward with the ball. Playing one up front essentially is a joke when most teams sit in against us. Trying to play through the middle hasn't worked all season. Believing your fullbacks can also be wingers hasn't worked either. Early on in the season it was crying out for 442.

Moi could gave played rm (hes right footed, hit the byline and get it across) 2 strikers in the box we might have had a chance. He could have signed a winger in January to play on the left. Playing the same system over and over again with players out of position is just mind boggling and what's worse is hearing the manager saying they played well. He is full of it.

Lennon is perfectly entitled to the amount agreed in his contract and would be a fool to walk away without the correct remuneration being paid.

Ask yourself this question. If your current employer decided they no longer required your services and you were entitled to a large pay off, would you just leave without getting it?

2.) 22 Feb 2021 09:12:57
Lennon publicly stated he would walk away if it wasn't working. He is choosing money over the club he apparently loves. He is perfectly entitled to do so but to think that decision won't tarnish his legacy is naive.

Have just heard that Lennon resigned after game. Eddie Howe to be announced tomorrow. Just passing on what i've been told.

Aye nae bother. Doesn’t sound to me in his post match interview that he had any intention of resigning let alone his replacement having already agreed full terms of new contract etc that quickly. Obviously he could have agreed in principle but I still don’t believe it mate.

2.) 06 Dec 2020 20:54:08
Smells of brown stuff.

3.) 06 Dec 2020 20:54:22
I was thinking Eddie Howe a few weeks ago until I found out he’s a big fan of building from his own box using his keeper.
I wasn’t a fan playing this way under Rodgers.
He would eventually need to get his own players in to make it work.
I suppose it’s better than we’re watching just now and Rodgers was successful.

4.) 07 Dec 2020 13:54:27
We have two keepers who r perfect for that role. Howe isn't the answer but a new goalkeeper wouldn't be needed. We also have centre backs who are comfortable on the ball other than duffy! McGregor is comfortable on the ball as well.

The type of player we should be after. Not seen much of him play but most people talk highly of him, he's experienced and no project and would be a solid back up to Taylor at LB.

2.) 15 Aug 2020 13:26:31
Douglas is a rabid bluenose, i have seen him 1st hand in a social sense and not the type of guy i want anywhere near my club. Added to the fact he is never fit it is a player we should steer well clear of.

3.) 15 Aug 2020 14:04:49
What team he supports means **** all as long as he can do the job. Why do celtic fans keep mentioning it when they know some of our proper legends were bluenoses.

4.) 15 Aug 2020 17:38:49
As i mentioned Kev his fitness record isn't great at all either.

5.) 15 Aug 2020 18:33:04
We should be going for somebody who's good enough to replace Taylor bravetart.

I've been the exact same all season Buzz. Says it all really. My Mrs and kids are going to ban me from watching Celtic 😆.

Lennon said himself, if it deteriorated he would walk. Why is he not walking? His words not mine. Why say that if he had no intention of doing so? The difference between you or me holding out for a pay offer is that we probably don't have the millions in the bank that he does. He is probably set for life, so it then comes down to greed does it not?

garryowen

1.) 22 Feb 2021 09:19:14
Maybe because he already walked before a few years ago and he perhaps lost out on a few quid and he’s not willing to repeat his actions.
If that’s the case the board should’ve gave him what he was owed back in November because whether we think he’s right or wrong,
Lennon was turned into a dog with a bone.

2.) 22 Feb 2021 10:28:11
Well let's see what's it like if that mob win the title at Celtic. As bad as the season has been that is just the ultimate insult to us.

I'd be happy if they both turned it round but I still think we need a new manager 🤣🤣.

I agree gary 👍.

02 Feb 2021 19:24:01
I think we would all love to see Duffy turn it round. Nothing better than a fan of our club being successful at our club. 👍.

garryowen

{Ed007's Note - I take it "him" meant Duffy and not Lennon, Garry? 🤔

02 Feb 2021 18:44:03
To be fair you can see why he has went for that line up tonight. A core of Scottish players as it will be more of a battle tonight. Glad he has given duffy a rest. let's hope Christie shows he deserves a place in the team.

Gary I’d love to see big Duffy turn it around.

2.) 02 Feb 2021 18:57:48
We all would J but think it's the right call and so is broony imo. hope young Welsh keeps his good form up as well think he's decent and not done much wrong.

3.) 02 Feb 2021 19:07:14
Mally I think it’s the right call too.

4.) 02 Feb 2021 19:34:00
It probably had to be done; but here we go again with a brand new back four and other changes from the St Mirren game.
The long list of our problems are well documented; but we have very rarely had a settled team - from back to front, game by game and that is something other teams have had the luxury of all season.

new to site. thinking about next manager there is no real candidate that makes me think yes go get him. if we go for a European manager then it's a risk, as they might not adapt to scottish football. don't fancy moyes (poor record since leaving Everton) , Clarke ( good job at killie but can he change tactics to become attacking manager that celtic are looking for? ) Lennon ( stabilised the club since the person left but performances suggest he's not the answer) or Benitez ( done ok at Newcastle but not sure he fancies it or would be fully committed to our club and may always be looking to leave. ) I think we should maybe go for Chris Houghton from Brighton. he's done a good job with them. he changes there style regularly which suggests he is tactically aware. he maybe have taken Brighton as far as he can and I don't think he will be on an enormous wage. has experience of being at a big club ( spurs, newcastle) would have good contacts and is knowledgeable on British football. what are you thoughts?
