Celtic have made an offer in the region of £3M for IF Elfsborg centre-back Gustaf Lagerbielke.

TamTimTic1

1.) 07 Aug 2023 23:27:57
Going for hightlight (I Know) the boy looks a players.
Looks very good with both feet and very good passing and reading the game.

2.) 08 Aug 2023 07:00:47
Lagerbeilke is an inexperienced player.
I noticed he hasn’t had any injury issues and he’s always been available for selection.

He did however, go out of loan in the 2nd half of last season and helped his small Swedish club to safety in a Houdini act.
His club were undefeated in the last 11 games, to guarantee safety on the last day of the season away at Malmo.
( won 4 drawn 7 )

He’s played his way into the Elfsborg team this season and he’s become a regular with about 15 league games.

3.) 08 Aug 2023 08:23:24
He has a full cap for Sweden.

4.) 08 Aug 2023 09:17:10
Seen a few Elfsborg fans saying he's the best CB in the league.

5.) 08 Aug 2023 18:19:41
Positive signing, losing a Swedish international but replacing him by another Swedish international who is younger, fresher and hopefully has more potential than Starfelt.
Good luck to the big man and his missus if he decides on Celta Vigo.
Wasn't a fan of Starfelt at first but his positional sence and professionalism won me over.

6.) 09 Aug 2023 23:14:07
Lagerbeilke should be an ideal age and at the correct stage of development. He should be able to take his place in our defence, yet young enough not to be demanding a start in every game.

I'm glad Turnbull is going to sign for us. I reckon that Broony has had a word in his ear saying that he will teach him to be his long term replacement. I hope we will all give him our full support if and when the deal is done. Keep the Faith. Hail Hail.

TamTimTic1

1.) 22 Jun 2019 07:41:39
That is just nonsense.

2.) 22 Jun 2019 19:07:39
Why would Brown do that? He doesn't even play in the same position, Turbull plays in the Rogic role.

Griffiths signs on for one more year, good news? Hopefully on a reduced deal as payment for last season, which can't ever be repaid 🇮🇪🍀🇮🇪.

1.) 01 Jul 2021 12:34:42
I would rather Celtic released Griffiths.
But we need at least 3 strikers at the club.
I would now sell Eddy and possibly Bayo and Ajeti and bring in 2 new forwards.

2.) 01 Jul 2021 12:58:48
Agree Buzz; we need a real shake-up across the front line and that includes real back-up for JF (not MJ) . We also never, ever replaced Sinclair and a similar type would enhance Ange's attacking style.

3.) 01 Jul 2021 14:17:54
I agree, due to a few factors LG should be a back up Striker.

4.) 01 Jul 2021 14:20:11
OAB
Celtic announced today that we sold the most season tickets for a single day on Friday.
And then on the same day, we announce that Leigh Griffiths who can’t play for 90 minutes, will still be at the club next season.
It’s not good enough,

5.) 01 Jul 2021 15:44:17
I agree with you buzz, for lads on here that thinks he will get 20 goals for us, for him to do that he needs to start, which is intact a sad state of affairs, that a player who hasn’t been a first choice forward for over 4 seasons is back to number one for us . On the wrong side of thirty and obviously been struggling with problems over the last few seasons . Supposedly he was one of our top earners last season, for him to treat the club like that is annoying at best. Loads of fans spend cash on Celtic that they probably can’t afford, and he couldn’t even bother staying fit while grabbing wages that most of us could only dream of.

6.) 01 Jul 2021 16:23:28
Given the time we have before the first CL qualifier and the other strikers we currently have on the books, I can understand the rationale behind Ange signing LG for another year.

I'm still expecting Eddy to be sold (possibly Ajeti also) but we must bring in quality replacements and put LG to be on the bench.

7.) 01 Jul 2021 20:53:04
If Leigh was/ is suffering from depression as was the rumours for people on here to say for the money he was/ is on he should have at least kept himself Fit obviously don't understand how depression affects people it's naw just a case of awe, hey Doc am depressed gie me some tablets gulp and you're good to go. sorry for the rant but people need to educate themselves before condemning others.

Ed, Hope you and the rest of the Bhoys on here are well. Just to put this forward I would love to see Roy Keane as manager with Damien Duff as his assistant. I also would like to see MON as Director of Football. I would love to hear your thoughts on the above. Keep safe everyone, Hail Hail.

TamTimTic1

{Ed007's Note - I'm good thanks mate and hope you are well. I was thinking about Duff returning in capacity the other day and I see Phil Mac has said he would be involved if it's Keane - with Harkin as DOF - maybe with his family a bit older it would be easier for Duff now or maybe his wife is now willing to move over.
Does Duff have the experience & tactical nous to be Keane's No.2 though? Everybody was raving about him and about how things went downhill when he left but I'm not convinced, he's had a year at Celtic, a year at the ROI and as far as I know he's back coaching at under-17s level again with Shelbourne.
As for MON, I just don't think he has the skill set needed to be a DOF.

1.) 15 Mar 2021 11:32:49
Its starting to heat up again with Keane and more mentions of DOF names being mentioned could we be close to the announcement am not convinced by it unless Keane comes out himself to confirm or not wanting the job then it is rubbish t me.

2.) 15 Mar 2021 15:30:44
Who’s Phil Mac Ed?

{Ed007's Note - He's a blogger mate - a bit hit and miss but he does know people in DD's circle.}

McInnes to stay with the Sheep 🐑. Good news for young Christie. Hail Hail.

TamTimTic1

1.) 15 Jun 2017 22:22:38
I thought he would be off to be honest, a chance to manage a fair sized club and probably a lot more money, especially after losing a couple of key players. He obviously believes he can strengthen and still make second despite the influx of world class Brazilian speakers at Ibrox. Maybe he doesn't rate their signings.

2.) 15 Jun 2017 22:45:02
Must admit i like the look of Morales from Helsinki. 47 goals in 65 games. No matter where you play that is a good return. Think Rangers will make a fight of it next season.

3.) 15 Jun 2017 23:29:11
It is a good record you have to say and he can't be accused of not being able to hack a Scottish Winter having played in Finland, though the general standard is not as high and it is a less physical league than in Scotland. As for making a fight of it, I just don't see it. Even if they improve their points tally by 15 and we get 15 less points we still win with room to spare. Making a prediction I would say that some of these players will show flashes of quality but be too inconsistent over the season to make a real fist of it.

{Ed007's Note - Their new signing might well improve them and I think they might push Hibs for 3rd now but there's still a long way to go in this window and Lennon will make some shrewd signings before it closes.}

4.) 15 Jun 2017 23:59:09
Since Lennon seems to be rebuilding Celtic 2012 at Hibs maybe Hooper and Ledley might fancy Easter Road. Where is Tony Watt now actually? Samaras?

{Ed007's Note - Tony Watt's launched his own movie review website!}

5.) 16 Jun 2017 00:20:54
I had to look that up and so he has. He no doubt has the potential to be a brilliant film critic, but will probably only produce one outstanding review, think he's Barry Norman and then start writing crap. Or sign for Hibs and finally screw the nut.

{Ed007's Note - He'll end up on Big Brother.}

6.) 16 Jun 2017 01:30:17
Rangers are facing into a season where a top 6 finish will be very difficult to attain .
They haven't got the future England Manager or a midfielder of the ability of Barton .
Last season they were hashing about 55 and idiots among Celtic support actually worried about them . I am pretty sure all these very average Mexican and Portuguese players will have disappeared as far as effective footballers are concerned long before the leaves fall off the trees.

7.) 16 Jun 2017 08:09:56
Johnnymac the Columbian kid does look good but in years gone by there have been squads full of quality internationals at Ibrox and we've still won the league. They're going to need more than him to make a fist of it, assuming he manages to make the step up.

8.) 16 Jun 2017 09:59:44
Dont think there is any danger of them winning the league but they will be a much more effevtive unit this season. Think its 2nd for them. I am more interested in what we can do in CL. Alvez is a goid digning and moralles will get goals so let's see.

9.) 16 Jun 2017 11:02:01
They should be looking at second for sure as they are spending and the competition is losing key players, there are a few interesting ifs and buts about how 2nd to 6th will shape up now. Their signings will have to hit the ground running though as a bad start and the support will be foaming at the mouth, a hiding in Europe and the mutterings will begin. Cathro too has to have a good start, Lennon is under the least pressure as top six is probably the target he has been given in the first season back and I think they will be right up there in the mix.

10.) 16 Jun 2017 11:54:16
I've never heard of these players that Sevco are signing so I'm not going to judge them till the season starts.
It's a bit hard to believe though that all the top clubs in Europe have somehow missed noticing all this hidden talent from the Portuguese and Mexican lower divisions.
We'll soon see if Brother Pedro is a managerial genius who has outfoxed everyone, or whether he is a dud who will be out of a job at Christmas.

11.) 16 Jun 2017 15:54:07
Howling at that 1 ed 😂😂.

12.) 17 Jun 2017 16:24:46
Old Man Chris, where do you get Sevco will find it difficult to finish in 6th spot? Behave. They will improve from last season not go backwards.

07 Aug 2016 16:20:16
I think we can safely say that Craig Gordon contributed greatly to our first 3 points of the season. I'm happy for him and hope it gives him the confidence to getting himself back to being a commanding keeper again. It helps greatly that our defence seems to be gaining in confidence and appears very solid. Hail Hail, a great win against difficult opponents in their own front room.

TamTimTic1

1.) 07 Aug 2016 16:53:56
He's an accident waiting to happen the sooner we find a replacement the better he's 6'6' and jumps to about 5 feet.

2.) 07 Aug 2016 18:39:48
He was very lucky that Tony watt has a heed like a 50 pence piece.

Does the Ange effect only happen to outfield players. Look at what’s happened to Ralston, he’s been outstanding. Brain’s only game was against Betis and he was more than competent. If Bain is required to play he will do a solid job for us. Bain looked a lot more confident in that Betis game.

Will yeez all please just give it a rest with the negativity. We’re playing in the Champions League and I for one am enjoying the games and not hiding behind the sofa. In NL I trust so please just get behind the 11 Celtic players that have been selected Hail Hail.

Aye Jon, 5 days ago you were probably saying we should have done anything to get the deal over the line. If and when this Bhoy signs he will be a great signing for us especially under the guidance of Scott Brown. It does not matter how you get there as long as you get there. A good start to the window, enjoy. Hail Hail.

I agree Troy, Celtic treated him with total respect and he downed tools because he wanted a move. The Palestine situation will go on indefinitely and there is world wide support for their cause, especially in America. Abada is gone now and no luck should be requested for him.

I personally couldn’t give a toss about Palestine or Israel but I do give a toss about my Football Club. Everyone must support the football side of our club as we are starting to get it together on the park. This world is in some state at the moment and us as football fans have very little say on how it is run. God Bless.

TamTimTic1

{Ed007's Note - So we can sack off all the support Ukraine stuff, the annual Poppy vomit fest, even show racism the red card - we wouldn't want to upset the racists would we and really what can we as football fans do?
Thank God the pol tax isn't happening now, miners and steel workers strikes, maybe get the Tory PM to present the cup in the may as these days most Scots would just accept it.}

Well said Brian, I have faith the Club are working vigorously to get the right players in at the right price. I have been really disappointed with Cal Mac in his first 2 games and get the feeling maybe the last 4 or so years are beginning to catch up on him, he seems to be losing possession in dangerous areas. I would like to see Holm get a wee run in the team and give Cal a good rest. One month down the line and we’ll see Celtic at their best. KTF.
