Hi guys, I heard a rumour yesterday from a really good source that we wanted Michael O’Neill but he has said he doesn’t want it.

1.) 28 Mar 2019 07:33:09
Hope not. No major club football experience.

2.) 28 Mar 2019 11:23:48
No offence Stuart but I don't believe that likewise i don't think the rafa rumours are true.

3.) 28 Mar 2019 15:48:47
i hope not that`s a lack of ambition on the boards part,

4.) 28 Mar 2019 19:34:19
With respect Mally and no offence, but I have never posted a rumour of any sort and wouldn’t post 1 without being sure the person would know and I can guarantee you he would know as he previously held a high position within the club. It’s True as far as I’m concerned✌🏻.

5.) 29 Mar 2019 06:06:17
Fair dos Stuart if true that's a serious lack of ambition by the board . The rafa one would be a serious dose of ambition so let's hope it's rafa.

6.) 29 Mar 2019 19:07:26
The same person said he would doubt very much that Rafa would be the new manager. I’d like to think it had some substance though. ✌🏻.

7.) 29 Mar 2019 23:18:47
These rumours are complete nonsense . I cannot understand how people who are normally sensible, can believe such baseless nonsensical rumours.

8.) 01 Apr 2019 09:11:16

For some reason I’ve just had that horrible feeling of realising that we’ve peaked. the fear has set in which hadn’t before now. Does anyone else think we could be on a rapid downward spiral?

Stuartslater1

1.) 02 Jun 2019 09:13:32
The only way that will happen is if the board don't back the manager which we all know is exactly what they won't do.
They have taken the cheap option with the manager and they won't spend any money.
The offered Izzy a new deal, offering Lustig a deal and Bitton is talking about staying.
With Lennon as manager, we will be lucky to finish second next season.

2.) 02 Jun 2019 09:35:13
No slater. "This isn't the end, it's just the beginning" a lot of independent punters have said Lennon's Hibs were more attractive than br's Celtic last season or 2. He's developed since last time. And with his eye for a player and greater tactical nouse in Europe exciting times are ahead. Kennedy can keep all the science stuff going. As long as lawell gets the finger out and backs some signings I think we'll cruise to the ten watching good fitbaw and have a Europa cup in us.

3.) 02 Jun 2019 09:45:28
Not for me. I really think (hope) we will strengthen the squad this summer and freshen things up. Everyone including the board know it’s essential we do so.

4.) 02 Jun 2019 13:32:26
A team can peak - and there is no doubt the invincible season was a superb summit - but as long as the club consolidate, replace and even improve, there's no reason we can continue to be the dominant force.
Big Jock did it; from initial tinkering to establish the Legendary Lions, to bringing through the Quality Street Kids and adding stars when and where it was needed, for nine-in-a-row.

5.) 02 Jun 2019 15:59:31
I've been absolutely scunnered by the board many times. Every time we've had the chance to improve from a position of strength we've failed to do it. I just don't get it, I've got no doubt in my mind that if the shoe was on the other foot, they would've left us standing. What is it with our club. Why are we throwing them a life line.

6.) 03 Jun 2019 00:29:51
Stephbhoy2 8 consecutive league titles 9/9 trophies I would say that’s a position of strength. I know Lennon was not everyone’s choice as manager but give him a chance and if it’s not working the complain.

Hi, does anyone know anywhere celtic minded in or around St Andrews that would be showing the game on Sunday . Wife booked a hotel break 🙄.

Stuartslater1

1.) 25 Mar 2019 21:17:51
There’s a few pubs that show games on the Main Street ; just up from the Main building at the 18th/ 1st tee off . How minded they are?

2.) 25 Mar 2019 23:10:53
The Rule is where you want to head to mate.

Hi Ed and others. Have not posted for a while just been enjoying reading your banter. Ed now we’ve confirm Olly Burke and Tim Weah on 6 MONTH LOAN deals! Is it safe to assume that the board don’t trust Rodgers enough to let him spend the kind of money he did on Edouard? . Let’s be honest any manager trying to build a stronger team from the strongest position already wouldn’t be happy as at best these type of signings are a side step. Thoughts?

Stuartslater1

{Ed007's Note - If the board weren't backing Rodgers he would either speak to Dermot Desmond or leave.}

1.) 07 Jan 2019 22:04:39
It is hard to see how you develop a side with 6 month loans, and conspicuous that both lending teams have stressed that there is no option to buy (according to the rags) . Both fine players, I'm happy to concede. But where's the strategy?

I hate to be alarmist, and I assume this is a stop-gap until a major overhaul in the summer, but we got to have a better plan than this.

2.) 07 Jan 2019 23:34:47
If the bhoy bayo signs then it could/ should / hopefully be enough until the club know what's happening with griffs long term health and then be sorted in summer window. until then that would give us Sinclair hayes weah eddy bayo johnstone Forrest Morgan burke . not too shabby . might even get a surprise and fran sol signs. (we can hope )

3.) 07 Jan 2019 23:38:38
I'm not concerned about the loans in these positions as such.

We definitely should not be relying on loans but these guys are good options

We need to be using money to get in long term deals for a RB and CB

To have these wingers on loan now is ok so long as we use the next windows money to further add to our attackers.

4.) 08 Jan 2019 12:43:49
Maybe its a try before you buy, hence their tender years.

I was taking the photo Jimtim, it was him that was chatting to my boy and asking him where he was flying to/ from. I just thanked him for taking the time and wished him good look.

I met him at Edinburgh Airport yesterday, but I suppose he could’ve been coming back from anywhere. Stopped and quickly got a photo with my bhoys and asked them where they were flying from etc. Fair play.

Chrisbhoy, Mikey Johnstone will be a real
Asset in a years time, he needs to hit the gym. He was posted missing in the last 2 games against them at ibrokes. The game yesterday was a typical end of season game which someone like Mikey can shine in. Sinclair is doubled up on time and time again and he still gets goals.

Hi Ed, what’s your take on that? I remember you saying these things don’t happen overnight and when it’s players transfers negotiations can stretch over a couple of windows. I appreciate it’s different with managers but surely it would take more that a matter of hours to discuss all the requirements on both sides of the table?

Stuartslater1

{Ed007's Note - Hindsight's a wonderful thing buddy and piecing together what we now know it probably went something like this:
It was no secret that Leicester wanted Rodgers to succeed Claude Puel and Rodgers would have been made aware of this through his agent a while back and - contrary to what Rodgers himself said and most of us thought - Rodgers has intimated that he was interested in the job. The plan was more than likely that Puel would continue to the end of the season before Rodgers took over so his agent will have negotiated the core of the contract with Leicester for Rodgers taking over in the summer with only some minor details to be ironed out.
Leicester's recent run of form meant that the Leicester board had to make a decision over Puel and when they pulled the trigger they wanted someone to come in to start building for next season, I'd take a guess that Rodgers was informed over the weekend if he didn't take the job now they would look elsewhere and then that's when the situation came to a head and Rodgers had to make a decision. Once Rodgers decided he wanted to go Leicester knew all they had to do was offer the compensation and they had their man as Rodgers would inform our board he wanted to talk to them.}

Sure I read he told the players he would be going to Leicester before he went down for “Talks”. Been in the making for a while this I think. I was told in January to get money on it happening by a girl I know. Never took her up in it because I thought it wouldn’t happen! MUG😌.
