Apparently we have scouts watching McCann today, i really hope we sign him he's really impressed me anytime i've seen him.

Ryanbhoy67

1.) 09 May 2021 15:18:09
Seen that myself id like him and Doig in this summer but you know what we’ve been like as a club and players who’ve got away and gone on to be £30M+ players.

2.) 09 May 2021 15:31:26
The boy mcgrath maybe worth a look.

3.) 09 May 2021 17:43:46
McD1888, just came across a name that was linked with Celtic a while back, from Philadelphia Union. Brendan Aaronson, was linked alongside Mark McKenzie. Boy plays with Red Bull Salzburg now signed for just under 5million. Looks to be doing quite well too. Will likely be sold on for a profit in a few years time. Just feels like there have been a few missed opportunities of late, which brings in to question those people scouting potential signings and those that get the signings over the line.

4.) 09 May 2021 19:27:10
Broony81 yeah I remember him he’ll be at Leipzig soon enough. And the boy MacKenzie is he not playing his football in Belgium now? I’m a bit frustrated the way we’ve all been left trying to figure out what’s happening and it goes to show who’s making these signings for the last wee while if we continue to be linked with players and still looking to do business.
No1 but the board to blame.

5.) 09 May 2021 21:30:55
Would McCann make our starting XI? Is he better than Shaw, Robertson, Henderson and Connell? Do we need another centre midfielder? Howcmuch would he cost?

6.) 10 May 2021 07:09:37
LennonAtWork Id take in at least 1 maybe 2 ready made CM’s we’ve been walked on in the middle of the park on every Derby this season! We need more aggression and someone who’ll stick in a meaty challenge in my opinion. I don’t know if McCann is that player because I haven’t seen him play.

Is the Howe deal as close as some reports suggest 🤞🤞.

Ryanbhoy67

1.) 01 Apr 2021 16:48:28
Someone on here posted ages ago about Roy Hodson DOF and Eddie Howe Head Coach. Could this be a possibility?

2.) 01 Apr 2021 16:57:52
Can't see why Roy would step away from the PL to come to us though.

3.) 01 Apr 2021 17:23:10
Roy Hodgson is 73 years old and his C. Palace contract expires at the end of this season.
He was the manager of Neuchatel Xamax when they hammered Celtic 5-1 in Switzerland.

4.) 01 Apr 2021 18:27:49
Roy Hodgson has already declared he is leaving Palace end of this season.

5.) 01 Apr 2021 19:44:09
Heard from a few reports that Howe has met with Dermot Desmond and Dominic McKay in London for talks, not sure how much truth there is to it but usually when multiple sources announce advanced talks have taken place a deal has pretty much been agreed.

6.) 01 Apr 2021 20:30:02
Maybe Howe would prefer the Palace job.

7.) 01 Apr 2021 21:47:18
Loads of stories regarding Howe meeting DD and McKay in London and them I remembered its April Fools Day!

8.) 01 Apr 2021 22:18:19
Apparently Eddie Howe has 3 conditions to win us the league next season;-

(1) a 35M transfer budget
(2) he pick the team
(3) JK gets his coat 😜.

9.) 02 Apr 2021 01:46:01
One of the blogs is saying that Kennedy and Strachan are staying on as coaches. Surely that cannot be true as we need a full clearout and let the new manager bring in the people he likes working with.

10.) 02 Apr 2021 07:05:19
Agreed 👍 LAW.

11.) 02 Apr 2021 07:24:40
Also rumoured to want Richard Hughes in as dof, I would presume we would be quite far down that road already that it would be strange to totally change their view on who they want for that role.
I think someone like Harkin from city would have been a good fit for us as he works predominantly with the younger players coming through at City, so should have good contacts. As we all know we prob don’t have the financial clout to go and sign a team of ready made stars so will have to nurture and coach young talented players . I suppose we shall see within the next week either way. At least we are finally getting to hear the club are being proactive regarding a coach.

23 Mar 2021 17:16:03
Hendrys comments on international duty sound positive, if he turns down an agreement in Belgium he can show his worth for us or go to England for millions.

Ryanbhoy67

1.) 23 Mar 2021 23:02:18
Very little time on his contract. Can't see him going for big money.

2.) 24 Mar 2021 10:22:18
No reason he wouldn't sign a new deal if we offered decent wages.

3.) 24 Mar 2021 10:02:51
Think the only way he goes for millions is if Oostende sign him and then immediately sell him on.

4.) 24 Mar 2021 10:09:35
Ryan, he doesn't want to come back to Celtic. We have a pre-agreed selling price of something like £1.7m or £1.8m or thereabouts deal with the Belgian side that will happen if he and they want it to. We can't stop it. They can then sell him immediately for whatever money. We have no control over it and we won't profit from any of it. HH.

5.) 24 Mar 2021 16:18:19
That doesn't mean he doesn't want to come back. If we guarantee him games then I think he will stay.

6.) 24 Mar 2021 18:46:50
Cory, someone here said (maybe Ed007?) that he definitely doesn't want to come back. Why would he? The lad was destroyed by the fans when he did get a game. His time at Celtic wasn't good and I can understand why he wouldn't want to return. His game time has got back to where he wants it and he's doing well. He's happy. HH.

7.) 24 Mar 2021 18:55:03
Things have changed since he indicated he didn't want to come back.

8.) 24 Mar 2021 21:50:10
Maybe Kev, who knows for sure? Our performance this season wouldn't be a catalyst for him wanting to return but money talks every language. HH.

9.) 24 Mar 2021 22:40:36
If he comes back, he knows he would have a better chance of playing in a European competition, even if he signed a one year extension to his contract, and he does well, he will be in a much bigger shop window for a transfer to one of the top leagues the season after, and if he does come back, maybe the supporters will give him a bit of leaway, instead of, like the last time, downing him straight away because he came to us from Scottish football, and wasn't an Irish international or had an exotic sounding name, give the Bhoy a chance, but the ball is in his court.

13 Jan 2021 15:29:47
Boy Kyle Joseph at Wigan scored 4 in 11 at the age of 19 and he's Scottish looks one to keep an eye on.

Ryanbhoy67

1.) 14 Jan 2021 16:33:22
Here we are halfway through the window, no CB's in yet. It's not as if we didn't know we needed two before the window. More about and hoping they can get a cheap option. We are here because we do the same every time.

2.) 14 Jan 2021 17:00:38
I’d be going out and getting the boy Nisbet for Hibs. That lad is going to be a star and will end up down south if we don’t make a move.

3.) 14 Jan 2021 20:36:24
Why let Lennon spend money on players when he'll be gone soon. Get two loan players in and keep the cash for new manager to spend.

4.) 14 Jan 2021 20:50:40
Nisbet has the looking of a good player
I don’t think there will be much done this window.

16 Dec 2020 13:11:26
Any truth in the Osayi Samuel rumours, looks a real talent but his end product needs work from what i've seen.

Ryanbhoy67

1.) 16 Dec 2020 16:57:15
Looks a right good player from what I've seen prib miss out if it comes down to money.

2.) 17 Dec 2020 15:55:01
One of the Celtic pages mentioned we should be looking at Zinkernagel. Danish right winger with 22 goals and 24 assists in 30 games. Watched one of his videos the amount of sitters he set up for his teammates that they missed too was ridiculous. Skillful and creative and puts in a quality ball.

3.) 17 Dec 2020 17:19:11
According to transfrmarket his contract expires in a few weeks. Surely if he that good someone would have snapped him up by now for nothing.

4.) 17 Dec 2020 17:53:05
Suits the board though on a free. Risk worth taking.

Is Abada in the squad for tonight?

Ryanbhoy67

{Ed007's Note - No, Ryan he doesn't have a work permit yet.}

1.) 20 Jul 2021 18:10:45
Thanks Ed helpful as always 👏.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

2.) 20 Jul 2021 18:43:56
He's in the team. Apparently a wild card which was missed by UEFA.

3.) 20 Jul 2021 18:44:18
He's in the squad?

4.) 20 Jul 2021 18:25:36
Daily Record says he's starting, don't know if that's confirmed.

5.) 20 Jul 2021 18:39:56
He is in Ed and starts.

6.) 20 Jul 2021 18:54:03
He’s in the 11.

7.) 20 Jul 2021 19:43:49
He starts. Work permit must've been fast tracked.

15 Jul 2021 22:38:15
When is the deadline to register players for next weeks tie.

Ryanbhoy67

1.) 16 Jul 2021 04:37:31
Ryan,
The deadline was last night.
Although Celtic can still register 2 new signings by 11pm the night before the first leg on Tuesday.

2.) 16 Jul 2021 07:02:40
Just celtic? Scotland?

3.) 16 Jul 2021 07:07:45
Think we've missed it with starfelt.

05 Jul 2021 14:47:10
How does it work with Visas for players, how difficult would it be to bring talent in from Japan for example since big Ange will have great knowledge in the market?

Ryanbhoy67

{Ed007's Note - If they are Japanese nothing has changed and they will still need a work permit. I'm not 100% sure when the cut off is but in future even players coming in from Europe will need to apply for work permits with the sames rules and regs as an Asian player coming in.}

1.) 05 Jul 2021 15:05:58
Thanks for your help Ed, just had a quick search to find out what the criteria is for players coming currently outside the Eu, states that they must have played in 75% of international matches in the last 2 years when been available for selection? This seems very strict and must really reduce the options available? Also much be a huge concern going forward after Brexit! For players under21 do under 21 national team appearances count?

{Ed007's Note - You can appeal for an "exceptional talent" visa and - again up until Brexit - that allows younger players that don't meet the criteria. It was actually easier to get one of them in Scotland than England which is how we signed Wanyama and Birmingham City couldn't, Alex McLeish who was Birmingham manager at the time actually backed Wanyama/Celtic at the hearing/appeal.}

2.) 05 Jul 2021 15:45:03
I'd never heard that before Ed. A real touch of class from him there.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

3.) 05 Jul 2021 16:41:52
Who sets out the rules? Surely if its the Scottish Govt they could relax them a bit to give our teams a much needed advantage over clubs down south.

{Ed007's Note - It's the UK government that set it, Ryan.}

4.) 05 Jul 2021 17:20:40
Ahh don't hold out much hope for any change then, Engurland winning the Euros might be the thing to drive Scottish Independence then we might get some help, every cloud ehh.

02 Jul 2021 23:07:49
Protest organised before the PNE game, don't agree with this at all Lawell and Lennon both gone what is the point in this, need to get behind the team and manager now. Last season was a complete shambles but we need to move on now and negativity like this doesn't help. Usually love the Green Brigade but this is a bad move IMO.

Ryanbhoy67

1.) 03 Jul 2021 05:15:22
Who mentioned the GreenBrigade? North Curve Celtic organising this. The statement reads on numerous occasions they will give Ange and the Team there support. What would you rather that once again we let the powers that be get away with treating us with the contempt they have in recent years. It only took this long to finally happen because of unprecedented success we had during 9 in a row years, I’m sure you will agree we should have been miles and I mean miles in front of any other team in the spfl. Instead the board sucked the money in and laughed at us in my opinion. Had the money been invested bk in the team more wisely we could have at least pushed on in Europe instead of declining dramatically. Yes we are a shrewd, financially stable, well run club and have been for years the accounts don’t lie. All I say is football is nothing without fans treat us like dummies at your peril.

2.) 03 Jul 2021 05:56:53
Honestly that's shocking absolutely no need for protests just now we need to all pull together for the sake of our club yes the board made major mistakes but if they back this manager with money for players and he delivers it will go a bit to righting their wrongs. Protests will only affect the players and what would it look like to new arrivals?

3.) 03 Jul 2021 07:11:27
The green brigade are in the north curve so they are baw deep in all the protest. Can't stand the plc but a few banners at a game will change absolutely nothing but it has the potential to undermine next season's campaign.
If you want the plc out buy shares. Its the only way we would ever get a say in the running of our club.

4.) 03 Jul 2021 07:28:48
I don’t agree with protests or a boycott on club merchandise.
The Shareholders will have the opportunity to vote the board members out individually in November at the AGM.
They could call for an Emergency General Meeting if they want them voted out sooner.
The dilemma will then be, who will be their replacements.

5.) 03 Jul 2021 09:24:17
just creating negativity that's not needed right now.

6.) 03 Jul 2021 09:31:19
Buzzbomb
You do know the shareholders are the board members.

7.) 03 Jul 2021 10:01:37
So all these who are doing the protest like North curve and green bridage won't be going to celtic games this season l assume? Well if they feel that strongly about it and now but lawell has left his post and lennon is gone not sure why they are having a protest.

8.) 03 Jul 2021 10:32:18
Why not have the protest at the next AGM or outside the next board meeting i agree they need to be held to account but doing it on matchday with a new manager/ players/ ceo just arriving doesn't help anyone. Focus it on the people you are protesting against.

{Ed007's Note - Why are people blaming the Green Brigade for this? This is being driven by The Celtic Trust who must be one of THE most petty and childish groups of Celtic fans to date, they couldn't even spell the manager's name right - twice -in their ramblings.}

9.) 03 Jul 2021 11:05:17
im pretty excited about the seemingly new direction the clubs taking. new manager. new ceo. start of a new dawn. protesting now just reeks of entitled fannies needing attention. grow up and give it a chance. seasons not even started yet. and aye, i am fecked off with last season but its done. can't wait to be shouting MON THE HOOPS!

10.) 03 Jul 2021 12:31:20
Auf,
I thought the board had to be voted in every year at the AGM.
It doesn’t matter if they are major shareholders,
The vote will go to the majority.
The other Shareholders have the power to replace them, I think.

11.) 03 Jul 2021 12:31:30
im on the same boat as you Gerry. a protest will do nothing at all but create negativity.

12.) 03 Jul 2021 15:07:23
Buzz Bomb
That's the point they are major shareholders. They have enough votes to vote what ever outcome they wish.

I think as a manager Celtic would be more appealing than a team like that however I don't think he will wait around for Lawell and DD to get rid of Lenny so if that's who they want, just bite the bullet and give him the job now.
