An orange walk through the merchant city and candleriggs area on Saturday? . Surely not. A recipe for utter carnage, but the idiots that ok'd this know that fine and well as we have celebrated in there on trophy day for the last 3 years . Another example of this country's inability to cope with our dominance and their demise. Regrettably someone is going to get hurt soon due to their collective irresponsible and intimidating behaviour and lack of sanction/ action by the authorities over last couple of years.
1.) 12 May 2025 12:25:08
2025 and your not allowed to say boo to anyone yet these horrible disgusting people are allowed to march our Streets and sing there religious bigotry songs.
2.) 12 May 2025 12:48:38
Aye if sevco were in same position and there was a republican march, we know the outcome.
3.) 12 May 2025 13:21:04
Pathetic show of petulance, resentment and bravado by Bigots-R-Us.
4.) 12 May 2025 14:42:39
How will they know if the rubbish and litter strewn on street belong to OO or to our bhoys and girls .
Would it be a good idea to give a couple of the bands a few £’s to stay on for a couple of hours and provide a bit of colour and music for us .
5.) 12 May 2025 15:16:01
May not need pyro for this one as there could be plenty of fireworks.
6.) 12 May 2025 15:45:39
The Orange Walk
Its like a re-enactment of Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by the worlds least successful weightwatchers group.
7.) 12 May 2025 16:17:44
THAT is a complete recipe for disaster and they know it.
8.) 12 May 2025 16:44:35
If the police and or the city council allow this to pan out there should be a investigation into both parties and a lot of people should lose their jobs and get arrested both police and council.
9.) 12 May 2025 16:58:00
I should have pointed out that it starts at 9.45, so there is a high probability it will have passed the merchant city by the time fans get there after the match.
What I found weird though, is the residents and business owners did not speak about the mayhem and disruption of the orange walk. I wonder why?
10.) 12 May 2025 19:18:44
Scottish Police have final say in finding dates and venues for Orange Marches. The cops are badly disturbed by the amount of Celtic SPL victories and likely trebles which lead to Celtic fans celebrating. Scottish Police Senior Officers and OO and Masons leaders are from the sow’s litter as Directors of Rangers 2012. Despite Cops expressing their concerns that Celtic are winning too many SPL titles and indeed trebles, SFA and SPl have managed to curtail their victories.
11.) 12 May 2025 20:54:16
They'll be outnumbered ?but seriously how dies the polis and gcc pander to these bigots.
12.) 12 May 2025 23:52:15
Both the party and the orange walk are embarrassing, these parties just give us a bad name with the wreckage caused by them, celebrate it in pub's or maybe a concert or something, we all know these orange marches should be banned, the fact that they still go on in the 21st Century just shows that Scotland still doesn't welcome families of Irish origin.
13.) 13 May 2025 15:18:18
@letterkenny don't believe everything you read in the paper. For example they don't show our fans going back to help with the clean up. The story just wants to paint us in a bad light.
14.) 13 May 2025 16:01:13
Recipe for disaster!
15.) 13 May 2025 15:38:00
It's the stoaters that follow it with their Rainjurs taps that make me laugh.
16.) 13 May 2025 17:02:27
They say it's for VE day but it was last week. Marching season is all they have left. Its like the fecking vikings on tour.
17.) 13 May 2025 17:05:38
We know in the Demi - Province the OO have increased the number of walks, dates and routes of their “Cultural Events”: as they are worried that future legislation will only a permit traditional walks .
They have similar policy in Scotland and that is why they are walking this particular route on what is becoming an Annual event in Merchant City, so that they plan to be permitted to interfere with our victory celebrations in future years.
Decent law abiding Nationalist people in Demi - Province and Scotland understand how the Orange Order members minds work and how they despise Catholics and treat them as low class citizens.
18.) 13 May 2025 18:07:56
WeeJoe, I don't read it in the papers, I see it with my own eyes, I know some Bhoys do clean up their mess, but it's only a small percentage, it just gives the Presbyterian press an excuse to bring out their anti-Celtic propaganda, they can't stomach our constant success.
{Ed007's Note - The party in Trongate isn't my cup of tea but I'm 51 and don't drink but if I was in my 20s I would be all over it and hopefully it keeps being an annual event until GCC decide to facilitate it at Glasgow Green.
As for the cost of the clear up, get back to me about that when the OO step up and pay the bill across the country every weekend when they are peddling their bile on our streets.}
19.) 13 May 2025 18:34:27
Let’s remove Celtic from the point here, the league finished on Saturday when the fixtures where announced at start of season, whatever team happened to be getting the trophy gcc should not have allowed any parades, it’s idiot at the highest order and considering the parades are every week until end of July in Glasgow, the cup final should also be a date off limits, nonone wants to see any nonsense but without a doubt there will be somewhere and gcc will be to blame not the morons causing the trouble, they’ll just be morons.
10 May 2025 09:02:17
Just reading Sinisalo's version of what was thrown at him by the barbarians during the game last week. Outrageous and recurring. our Board should refuse to play there again until our players safety can be assured, write a strongly worded complaint to SPFL and SFA officials, and most importantly of all alert UEFA to this disgraceful and dangerous behaviour on their patch and the lack of action by Scottish authorities so far ?.
1.) 10 May 2025 10:20:58
Our board are a soft touch there's form the length of London Road at that cesspit, you think after the glass inciwith Joe that's as low as it gets then a bottle whizzes past sinasolos napper, silence from our board their board and the good old sfa, our coaching staff have been assaulted as well but they get away with it tome they got a stand shut down maybtgat would sort it but probably wouldn't.
2.) 10 May 2025 11:10:31
That 5-way-agreement has certainly got some hold over the Celtic Board as they just keep bending over and taking it time and again.
3.) 10 May 2025 11:18:23
If a remember rightly the worse out the lot was 1 of our medical team actually hot hit with a bottle and he was the 1 needing medical treatment but the fact it was brushed under the carpet am beginning to think it nvr happened and its ME that's losing it?♂️.
4.) 10 May 2025 13:26:04
Fans, staff, players all hit yet our spineless board say nothing! The young keeper is more outspoken than that shower.
5.) 10 May 2025 13:44:13
We have absolutely no idea what response Celtic have got from the SPL and SFA .
We don’t even know how many complaints our Board have made to the SFA, nor do we know whether our Board have employed a firm of Solicitors.
The only thing that we can be quite sure is that the Scottish Football authorities will if they are given any opportunity at all deliver a verdict that Sevco are as a club not guilty of anything and will minimise the damage and harm done.
The ability of the football authorities as well as Sevco to lie and commit perjury is well known and it will be exceptionally difficult to find Rangers2012 guilty after all their lies (& perjury ) if necessary. It isn’t as if Rangers2012 are a normal club playing under normal impartial Football Association Officers who apply all laws and rules impartially no matter which club is involved. We know before Celtic Board even think about raising an incident with them, that Celtic will not get a fair hearing.
6.) 10 May 2025 13:51:09
I mentioned this the other day. Could this not be raised at the next AGM in September?
We expect this non response from the Debt dome so it's up to our Board to show some balls for a change.
7.) 10 May 2025 14:35:52
Surely it's a matter for Police Scotland and not Celtic board lol.
8.) 10 May 2025 17:07:36
it’s probably pointless Our Board complaining to authorities who see Rangers2012 behaving in exactly the way the fine Institutions in Scotland, The Church, The Government, The Football Authorities, and Police Scotland want them to behave . If any of these fine Institutions who have made Scotland great wanted different behaviour from the Ibrox club, they wouldn’t have any problem in 2025, as they could have stopped their racism, bigotry sectarian behaviour in any decade over the last 100 yrs .
However these institutions and every other body in Scotland have clearly shown that the Ibrox club is Simply the best and they will stoop to any level to make sure that his true and remains true.
9.) 10 May 2025 18:22:39
Reo was immense today. If he played like that every game, we could not lose him, however BR made comment he has been here 4 years, so I suspect he is prepared to let him go, if a good offer comes in. Reo also wants to go to a so called better league.
Replacing his quality will be difficult, the way he shields the ball, sprays passes and can finish is going to be costly and difficult.
I just think he at times finds this league too easy.
Engels also played really well, I think we will see the best of him next season. He has a difficult role pulling together defence and midfield, midfield and forwards.
A lot of what he does goes unnoticed.
I agree with Ed, I think CCV will go, so we will need to replace him.
Scales and Trusty were OK today but Boyles pace caused them difficulties.
We need a CB who can read the game, sit off and manage players with pace as VVD did and does. A CB who also like to attack balls into the box.
Not sure Maeda is happy out on the wing, he was really enjoying the CF role but struggled to make an impact today, although at the end he made a couple of great defensive plays.
I think our team next season will look different.
10.) 10 May 2025 20:17:15
I think we are in for a complete rebuild. I know that sounds crazy but we need at least 1 CB, kT already in, at least 1 midfielder, a CF, 1 winger before Jota injury now maybe 2. That's at least 6 player. All need to be first team ready.
11.) 11 May 2025 10:54:21
I guess it all depends on how many (if any) first team players leave in the summer. BR on record as saying if nobody leaves he needs 3 more quality signings in. So not looking like a complete rebuild based on that view. If nobody leaves a quality centre back, strong midfielder and striker (to add to KT) does it for me.
12.) 11 May 2025 11:10:15
Yes I sense the next year or so will be one of transition as Calmac won't last forever either.
Normally that would instill some trepidation in me but I trust Brendan implicitly. It's going to be an important summer.
As an aside, opinion seems split on Lennon Miller.
01 Mar 2025 09:45:10
I see (predictably) that the bigoted Scottish media have used the change in away fans access to incorrectly use the 'old firm' expression as much as they possibly can in their newspapers, TV and radio .
It must eat away like poison in their tiny minds that we no longer recognise it and that nobody from Celtic (including BR) ever use the expression ???.
1.) 01 Mar 2025 16:43:24
The Rangers2012 fans seem to accept that the Old Firm is no more but the SMSM seem to want to continue with it as a childish attempt to wind up the Celtic support.
Their media has so little to please it over the last few years, that they have to try some fake humour.
2.) 01 Mar 2025 19:48:58
I have relatives from the dark side that still use the obsolete OF term and I reckon it's a vain attempt to hang onto our coat tails. The Media all over the UK need to be dragged up to date. However the morons cannot mention Celtic without having to follow up with a Sevco menshy - no matter how irrelevant or random.
3.) 01 Mar 2025 20:55:20
Lets face it our support is easy to wind up. I still use the term old firm and don't think twice about it. It's never been a big deal for me.
4.) 02 Mar 2025 15:47:19
I think that those of us who think the original Rangers club were liquidated and died in 2012 believe that there is no “old firm” . Using the term “old firm “ allows the new Rangers club legitimately to hold on to the 54 League titles won by dead club and add on all the League titles won by new club since 2012, all 1 of them .
Of course when it suits new club to be separate from old club, as with debenture holders, who invested £1690 with then owner Murray in return Rangers promised them a season ticket for life . That worked fine until DH’s sought their tickets for 2012-2013 season and were told that this was a new club and they would need to see administrators about their claim.
19 Feb 2025 08:41:20
So the Daily Ranger thinks Celtic have earned £26m from this years champions league ?. what lazy and deliberately misleading reporting. When all commercial, ticket, and eufa payments are included it will be close to DOUBLE that figure. but hey their figure suits their zombie friendly readers happy ?.
1.) 19 Feb 2025 10:19:40
Just enjoy their agonizing, mind warping agony. They are Pathetic!
2.) 19 Feb 2025 11:08:26
Rogician thry did say that it was £26m and that was before the gate receipt and other revenues have been added.
3.) 19 Feb 2025 13:35:08
Yeah Greentree but my point is why even headline it without these additional (and significant) figures? Btw it’s actually £37m approx before gates receipts and commercials… like I say lazy and misleading for a purpose.
4.) 19 Feb 2025 17:33:00
There isn’t much that in this life I am proud of, as pride comes before a fall.
However one bit of personnel pride that hasn’t been followed by negativity is my decision never to read or quote Daily Record, since they reported on Celtic’s Christmas party during MO’N’s term .
31 Jan 2025 10:47:25
Not panicking yet but. if we don't sign anyone before Monday nights deadline we are in a weaker position than before window opened. Unacceptable if it turns out that way, hoping, tho not convinced, it won't be the case!
1.) 31 Jan 2025 12:33:32
If we don't get a lb and a striker in we're definitely a lot weaker and brendan won't be happy. thought our new transfer guru was there to ensure that didn't happen.
2.) 31 Jan 2025 21:13:32

29 Aug 2024 15:08:38
Engels deal done apparently ???.
25 Aug 2024 22:18:05
Personally just happy to get another decent LB into the squad… if it happens ?.
23 Aug 2024 17:16:13
While I am delighted with the 2 new goalies, Idah and Bernado, which of itself guarantees domestic dominance … we are no better prepared for CL than last time. If nothing else happens it would be a clear statement from the board that they are uninterested in the CL so why should I be? And I will not buy CL ticket package should that be the case. I hope that scenario doesn’t play out but the board, by leaving things so late, are playing a very risky game… no amount of excuses will be accepted by the fans, and will in my opinion lead to ugly scenes that will end in their demise!
21 Aug 2024 21:45:15
I have no idea how credible the transfer rumours of players in and out of the club are, it’s all beginning to drive me nuts if I am honest. However if the Kyogo to City rumour has traction and they make a realistic offer I don’t think our Board will be difficult to deal with as I don’t think BR is entirely convinced by Kyogo… his lack of physicality and limitations in holding the ball up and linking the play need to be acknowledged along side his obvious strengths.
05 Aug 2024 17:23:04
I reckon if we are offered £25-30m for his services Matt himself won’t have much of a say in it .
11 May 2025 10:54:21

05 May 2025 01:52:36
Nonsense DRB…. both Engels and Idah’s contribution this season has been excellent. they are both young men with a huge potential to improve further under BR.
03 May 2025 20:57:06
Completely agree DC! … if we go hell for leather tomorrow and as a consequence lose 2 more players to injury for cup final I will be livid . Bazza’s bangers will kick anything above the grass that moves tomorrow, they need it more. We need to be competitive but clever, this game is more important to them than us. The Treble awaits…. Again ?.
08 Apr 2025 12:59:00
KT is a massive upgrade on Taylor… I liked Taylor and he served us well and was well rewarded for his efforts. Getting a player of Tierney’s stature for no transfer fee is a no brainier (even if his fitness let's him down occasionally) .
07 Apr 2025 20:46:42
I agree Buzz…. Some of the reaction since the game yesterday has been a bit OTT. A complete rebuild in the summer!? Do me a favour . 3 or 4 out and 4 or 5 in to freshen up and add more quality.
One observation though from yesterday… BR was quick (and correct) to criticise the attitude of some of his players, but surely part of his remit is to shape and influence their attitude on match days…. I am a fan of his but he is not bullet proof when things aren’t working well, indeed he is hugely accountable!
