Would really love to see Celtic invest big on a world class level goalkeeper. Seems to be a position being overlooked this transfer window.

World class level? We can't attract players good enough to qualify for the Champions League!

2.) 13 Aug 2019 22:16:45
Celtic are the Fort William of scotland in Europe, to think we all gloated when petrescus last trip to Glasgow and they scored 4, what does it say about us. From top to bottom we were not good enough, I'm not going give them any more of time or money. You can handle conceding that many goals against good European sides, with world class players but this lot, who are cluj? Romanian super stars hahaha. Joke.

3.) 13 Aug 2019 22:19:56
Aye and the ones we do they sit on the bench 😡.

4.) 13 Aug 2019 22:35:17
What is this, it's only a Romanian team?, in my opinion Romania are, or were up there with Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia as the best footballing nations in Europe, (when I was young)

Hard to argue with your points Kev. Lennon's blown the big time with his cupidity in the left wing role. We need to know why Scotty has been marginalised: he should speak on it himself now. The naivety of playing McGregor at left back, and thus with a new formation entirely, is somewhat staggering. To give him the benefit of the doubt for a moment, Calmac inspires confidence in every role. But he coulda just had faith with the left back he brought in or started Hayes, an able deputy.

He's lost the fans. He's probably lost the dressing room too, and if he hasn't he will soon I think. Some will be aching for departures. Some will be wondering why they signed up in the first place.

I it must be a really tough job trying to sign I quality expecially with the fan expectations. I would love to see 4/ 5 quality playes brought in, no hassle but that not the reality. I support the 11 guys that start the match every weekend 100%🍀HH.

Running a business has tought me that finding staff is easy peasy lemon squeezie. Finding the right staff that makes you better as a team is extremely difficult. Magnify that by 10 in the context of EPL inflated prices and it pretty much explains the challenge PL and BR face. Does anyone remember the money spent by Tony Mowbray to bring in donkeys and he still couldn't find a striker! Destroyed a team single handedly at a cost of millions in my memory. ☘️.

Geez a joab jfp.

{Ed007's Note - I was just thinking, imagine having him as your boss? ;)

3.) 31 Aug 2017 20:34:15
Yes but we have Rodgers who is proven he not Mowbray.

Celtic still need a no.1 Goalkeeper, a back up left back a new centre back and depending on whether or not Dembele leaves in this window, one or two centre forwards. If Celtic could achieve this we will be in a great position to push on in Europe and should be aiming for the last 16 of the champions league. Barring a disastrous one off cup match we will win the treble again without breaking sweat.

Seems like the Johnny Hayes rumours have some sort of substance, I just hope young Christie isn't used as a part exchange it doesn't make sense at all. I like most of our support would love to see at least 3 or 4 quality additions. But my true wish is that Brendan has inspired several of our boys to really kick on this season and by this time next year I hope we are raving about another 2 or 3 of our boys really making the grade. I'm 100% confidant this will happen HH.

I'm just disgusted if this is true, expected so much better this summer.

2.) 02 Jun 2017 17:37:51
Christie is 22, wouldn't say that we can refer to him as a youngster anymore. He's had chances and hasn't taken them. He obviously hasn't shown enough in training either. He's like GMS. Decent amount of talent but not got the heart or bottle to play for Celtic. Not saying I want Hayes either but I wouldn't be fussed if Christie leaves this Summer.

3.) 02 Jun 2017 18:15:51
Got to disagree lm. What real chance had he had . use mainly as sub as team was playing well. scored 2 in 10 appearances. he also just won young player of the season at Aberdeen and scored 6 1n 13.the boy has talent and can play a few positions. He is also young enough to develop (isn't that one of Brendans main skills ) .

4.) 02 Jun 2017 19:52:35
Every chance Rodgers may sign Hayes it's a long season in Scotland as I've said before with no protectiion from referees it's not a bad shout and Hayes is a hardy boy. But absolutely no chance will Brendan let Christie go-the bhoy has talent and is definitely one for Brendan to nurture. ☘️.

5.) 03 Jun 2017 15:15:51
Was going to say that Christie has not had that many opportunities to show what he can do at Celtic.

Who knows who we might still get signed up but so far it seems like the same old story every season. My personal feeling is that dembele will leave for a ridiculous amount of money and Rodgers will be given half the money at best to reinvest. I understand running a football club is a business but Celtic have a proven record of improving young players and making more profit. For me it's a no brainier to spend between 4-5 million on two or three talents. Didn't Rodgers say agents were lining up with young talent? Wanting the dembele treatment? HH.

Great news but I hope that isn't an indication that we fear losing KT.

Revolution85

{Ed007's Note - Relax, KT will be a Celtic player for the foreseeable future. He has told the Club and his agent that he has no intentions of leaving Celtic and he has told a couple of people that he'll be here for The 10 by which time he'll still only be turning 24 that summer.}

I like the look of young Ralston. He definitely has the potential to become our first choice right back pretty soon. If the lad has the same attitude as KT then I have no doubts about that.

Would be gutted to see Izzy leave tbh. Seems like a nice guy who gives everything for Celtic. On the other hand he will want first team football and when KT is back he won't get much. I think it's safe to say he would leave with the best wishes from every Celtic fan HH

Ajer looks like a decent talent I'm confident he'll have a great game tonight. I also believe that Celtic will be clinical tonight. 3-0 or 4-0 Celtic win HH.
