Turnbull has failed his medical, and now the deal is off! Deal just seemed to be destined not to happen.

According to some reports both Celtic and Motherwell are in dialogue as to what happens next. That doesn’t suggest to me the deal is completely dead yet. Wouldn’t surprise me if Celtic are trying to re negotiate a fee or maybe pay the £3.25 million up in instalments based on how this “ problem” with his medical goes going forward. It is however getting to the farcical stage. I suppose the most important thing is it gets sorted properly and for turnbulls sake going forward whatever happens it isn’t that serious that it effects his long term future in the game.

I'm guessing if it is something with his knee Celtic's insurers wouldn't cover him for any surgery as it's already happened. Also - if he is to be out for 6 months, loaning back to Motherwell and letting him play the second half of the season for them to get up to speed makes sense.

If something more sinister, the boy's health should be top priority.

There's been a lot of bad publicity about this transfer some might be pish some genuine but the lad clearly chose us over money clearly and wanted to play for us so let's all get behind him and not boo the lad. If we was all in the same position at work we would all do the same and keep our options open. Well done to the board by standing firm but have to say egg is clearly on Kennedys face.

Kennedy only came out and said what most people were thinking. At that time it would seem Celtic felt they made him “ a magnificent offer” now since then either Celtic have upped that original offer or turnbull realised himself it makes more sense long term to get experience behind him and by coming to us he’ll get that. His press conference will make interesting listening as the boy and club will have some awkward questions to answer if imagine.

I would like Lennon to stay and the board to back him. Let’s stop messing around with transfers and taking too long to get them over the line.
Feels like we’ve been talking about the same players for months, go get the deals done, back the managers and the fans will too.
