It’s a massive game on Sunday and I believe if Celtic win, we will go on to secure our 9th title in a row.
If we don’t win, it could go right to the wire because after the winter break, Celtic will only have 8 home games left but Sevco will have 11 home games still to play.
I am expecting home advantage to play a big part on Sunday, with the fans roaring the Bhoys to victory.

After the cup final I honestly can't see them winning this game as long as the men in Black don't swing it in their favour.
If we score first I think they will buckle and their confidence will be shot, but we must play Forrest on the left and Christie at No:10.

2.) 27 Dec 2019 23:05:00
LB10 love your analysis on here, always informative and interesting, keep up the great work 👏👏.

Celtic have named a provisional squad of 23 players for Sunday’s game against Hibs. Sinclair is not even in that big squad of players, young 16 year old Dembele has made the squad before him. Quite sad how Sinclair’s Celtic career has fizzled out.
On a positive note, we have 3 strikers in the squad for the first time in months.

1.) 13 Dec 2019 23:35:01
I think that they have to have so many players under a certain age in the squad?

03 Dec 2019 13:21:22
Good news coming from Lennoxtown training session this morning.
Eddy, Boli, Bayo and Elyounoussi all participated and Lenny also stated Ntcham could also play against Hamilton.
If all goes well, we could be going into the final at full strength apart from Elhamed. 👍.

1.) 04 Dec 2019 07:55:25
Listening to Lennon talk I think eddy is going to miss this game. Hopefully I am wrong and he's trying to pull the fast one.

2.) 04 Dec 2019 10:41:42
So he's been out running since Sunday, but you think he has an injury which will keep him out for a game a week later? Its not like he's been out with a severe injury that requires long term rehab. If he's fit to take part in training on the Tuesday before a game on Sunday, barring any set backs he will be fit to play!

3.) 04 Dec 2019 12:59:29
Daryl that all depends on what the injury really was.
A lot of the time running in drills can be fine but the twisting, turning and full on action can be to much to soon.

4.) 04 Dec 2019 15:32:26
From what lennon has said makes you think he won't make it?

26 Oct 2019 12:37:04
I don’t think Ntcham is going to make the game tomorrow due to injury. It is a big lose with Christie suspended.
I don’t think Rogic is fit enough to play against Aberdeen because he is too slow.
I would start Bitton to play alongside Brown and push McGregor up, into the number 10 position.
The players put in a shift and a half against the Italians and we need to have more in reserve, than what we showed against Livingston.
If we win on Sunday, then all is well but if we drop more points, we will need to have a rethink about the team selection for European games because the league should be the priority and Europe only a bonus.

1.) 26 Oct 2019 13:18:49
Could play 2 up front. or sinky in the 10 role, or sinky left n elyounoussi behind eddy.

2.) 26 Oct 2019 15:44:08
Play wee dembele 😂😂 I'm going to post this every week till they do.

3.) 26 Oct 2019 17:25:00
I would play SS on the left with Mo behind Eddi.

4.) 26 Oct 2019 19:51:22
I am expecting Aberdeen to keep the same formation as last week. They played 3 central defenders and 2 wing backs. We can't leave Eddy isolated and we have to support him as much as possible. Christie and Ntcham are a big loss and if Rogic does start, he will need to show more than he has showed since Lenny took over.

Lenny played him last season, hoping he was going to recapture his early season form, but it just wasn't happening for Rogic. In the past Rogic has played brilliant games away to Aberdeen. 🙏.

5.) 26 Oct 2019 21:05:44
I can't see anything other than Rogic starting. Boli looked like he may have picked up a knock so we could see Hayes at LB. Elhamed hasn't played 2 games in a row for a while either so we could maybe see 4 or 5 changes from Thursday.

6.) 26 Oct 2019 22:29:02
I think the midfield tomorrow will be Forrest brown bitton McGregor elyounossi.

When Celtic had their 11 corners, Sevco had 11 men in the box closing down any space. When Jullian did get his head on a couple from a standing jump, due to the space being closed down, they had the luxury of having a man on the correct post to knock it off the line each time.

When Celtic were defending corners we kept 2 men outside the box but when the goal was scored,2 extra men were dragged outside the box to stop a short corner. That left only 6 defenders and the goalie defending the corner and all the space in the world was left for katic to have a run and jump for their goal.

Celtic were unbelievably tactically nieve because Mcgregor was covering the space where katic scored but by them taking a short corner, he was taken away to leave all the space in the world for them to exploit. It was a well thought out set piece by sevco and not just a hopeful ball that Celtic would normally put in at corners. It was school boy defending by us and it feels like they took us for dummies and we fell for it and it cost Celtic the game.

Leon bhoy 10

1.) 03 Jan 2020 20:32:31
Ajer should have defended the corner much better than he did.

{Ed007's Note - Or we could have set up to have men on the posts like most other teams. Think back to the pressure we were under with corners in the early stages of the LC final, that's all down to how we set up to defend them.}

2.) 03 Jan 2020 20:48:23
I have said this before . maybe old fashioned lol but always a man on the post at corners!

3.) 03 Jan 2020 21:22:22
Always taught to have a man on at least the front post.

4.) 03 Jan 2020 21:23:04
But ajer should also have done better.

5.) 03 Jan 2020 22:15:10
I know you can't legislate for individual errors or players failing to do the basics; but once again it goes back to a coaching team not learning lessons about how the opposition play and shape-up, or how to alter things when our weaknesses are being exploited?

6.) 03 Jan 2020 23:33:02
Men on the post or not as a centre half your job is to not allow the player you are marking to score and Ajer failed to do this.

7.) 04 Jan 2020 11:02:59
For something so simple it's cost us a goal at one end and kept 2 out at the other end. It's no secret we struggle to defend set pieces so why not have someone there.

8.) 04 Jan 2020 11:37:53
Although I agree with having defenders on the post at corners for me Ajer was partly at fault for both goals first he turned away from the Kent shot when he could have blocked it then didn't pressure Katic for the second I had hoped he was going to be a big player for us but now I'm not so sure.

Between both clubs Rangers and Sevco, yesterday was the first time they have scored the opening goal at Celtic Park in 15 attempts, going back to 2008.
In the previous 14 games (13 in the league and a Scottish cup tie) Celtic have scored the opening goal 12 times and 2 games have ended goalless.
I think it’s 7 penalties Mcgregor has faced against Celtic for both Rangers and Sevco and he has dived to his left in 6 of them.

The only time he dived to his right was against McGeady. He probably dived to his right for a change because 5 months previous McGeady put it to his right, sending Mcgregor the wrong way.

McGeady is the only Celtic player to go to Mcgregor’s right and both times he has scored. The other 5 Celtic penalties have went to the keepers left and he has saved 3 of them.

I missed the game yesterday due to the wife taking ill.
I only found out it was 2-1 to Sevco with 20 minutes to go. Reports suggest I didn’t miss much.

In the January window, I would bring in Wanyama, the Bratislava forward, Meling from Rosenborg ( who has exactly one year left on his contract) and I would enquire about Patrick Roberts on loan. Roberts is currently with Norwich and can’t get a game. I know he has only played about 20 games since leaving Celtic but he is still only 22 years old and he has still got his pace, which terrorised Scottish football before. Sinclair and Elyounoussi were not playing well before they came to Celtic and then they rejuvenated their careers.

Meling is also only 25 years old and we could get him for peanuts. Although we have already bought 2 left backs to replace KT, the fact is the left full back is our weakest position and if Celtic want to strengthen, we need to start with Meling.
Those 4 players will help kickstart our quest for another title and hopefully a quadruple treble.

Leon bhoy 10

1.) 30 Dec 2019 18:38:07
We have about six or seven players at present who can play full back, although Frimpong and Taylor may be ones for the future, I would say Bolingoli is definitely not up for the job, while loanee Bauer does not seem to have the managers confidence; then there's El Hamer - probably the best of the bunch, who has been out injured for months.
You could also include Hayes and Miller/ Hendry as excess cover?
and although Melling would be a great signing, I can't see it with so many candidates already on the books?
We really need to offload 5 or 6 players IMO, to make space and free-up funds to bring in quality in the key positions we crave.

2.) 30 Dec 2019 20:31:09
Meling is a great shout and we should’ve got him in the summer.

3.) 30 Dec 2019 20:48:45
Yesterday was the 1 game in particular that John Mcginn would have thrived on, many rangers fans i speak to all say they are so glad Celtic didn't get him. Our midfield is good but id say he is a better player than anyone we have and its a scandal that we didn't give hibernian £3.5 million, when we spend almost as much on eboue who is one of the worst players I've ever seen.

{Ed007's Note - Who out of Brown and McGregor would you - or more importantly
the manager - have dropped for McGinn?}

4.) 30 Dec 2019 21:08:41
I think the squad of players we already have should have been good enough yesterday.
The problem arose in where on the pitch Lennon decided to play them.

5.) 30 Dec 2019 21:36:31
people want wanyama but is he match fit as in my mind we don't have time to get who ever we buy fit, we need the guys with a good few games under their belts this season, plus they have to be a bit more physical and strong willed because no matter where their played unless they can match the other lot in both departments they will lose.

6.) 31 Dec 2019 09:26:54
The only way to take a penalty is to put the welly through it. Remember Tam Gemmell's penalties? If the keeper saves it it he ends up in the net with the ball - so a goal every time. If the keeper parries it he breaks his fingers, if he headers it, decaptiated - if it hits his front erchie.
Happy New Year to you all when it comes.

7.) 31 Dec 2019 10:04:32
If Wanyama is half as good a player from his Celtic days, he will still be the best midfielder presently playing in Scotland.

23 Dec 2019 16:13:41
Celtic will be hopeful that Wullie Collum will get out of the right side of his bed on Boxing Day morning.
Since last Boxing Day, Collum has refereed 8 Celtic games and in those games, Wullie has sent off 3 Celtic players and gave the opposition 4 penalties against Celtic.
In return NO players have been sent off against us in those 8 games but he did give us ONE penalty, which turned out to be the winning goal, that gave Celtic the treble treble.

Clancy is the ref.

2.) 23 Dec 2019 16:59:25

3.) 23 Dec 2019 16:58:35
I ment the equaliser in the final. 😂.

4.) 23 Dec 2019 17:47:51
One game at a time Pud. 👍.

5.) 23 Dec 2019 20:19:48
He's talking about St Mirren on boxing day Pud; Clancy is not 'til Celtic Park on 29th.

6.) 24 Dec 2019 00:01:59
Clancy is probably worse than Madden and Beaton. Said before cup final can guarantee a penalty and red card. No qualms about the penalty but the red was a joke. Be the same again to try slow us down.

7.) 24 Dec 2019 13:31:50
I'm usually a day behind so it's a first for me getting ahead of myself! Merry Xmas to all the Celtic Das bhoys and ghirl's and the lurkers from the dark side have a great time.

20 Dec 2019 11:30:16
Celtic will need to be on top form when we visit St. Mirren on Boxing Day after the officials were made public.
Wullie Collum will be the referee again, so anything is possible depending what side of the bed Wullie gets out off.
Our friend Mr Ross the Tory will be a linesman and on the other side will be Andrew McWilliams who was a linesman in the Motherwell v Sevco game last week. The Motherwell players were raging at being continually flagged offside by McWilliams anytime they went near the Sevco goal, although they were clearly onside.
I took a note of who he was for future reference because he was really biased and now he is part of the new dream team in an effort to stop the juggernaut of Celtic.

1.) 20 Dec 2019 13:10:39
Said the other night, after we have had Collum, Beaton and Madden in strict succession, that it could not be more obvious how the establishment are showing their hand so blatantly.
NL was raging at some of the decisions on wed night and I have no doubt he (and the support) will expect much more of the same with maybe our old friend Clancy or even McLean lined up for Sevco visit?
Main thing as always is to keep winning - despite.
Incidentally, I see The SFA are looking at VAR in Jan; can you imagine having a permutation of three 'stoneworkers' every week ha ha.

2.) 20 Dec 2019 17:29:25
Out of interest, who are the refs that favour us? Seems like every week there's a post about the refs being against us.

We heard Edouard was not playing last week and he played.
The rumours last season were from a good source, which turned out to be true but this season the leaks have stopped.

At best Hayes will be on the bench because Boli will start.
I am expecting the same lineup as Boxing Day and the same subs. The only exception might be Hayes on the bench, which would leave Taylor out of the squad.
The 3 players to be sitting in the stand from the 21 man squad will be Morgan, Bayo and take your pick from Hayes/ Taylor.

He was part of a Cruzeiro team that was relegated for the first time in their history.
There is now only 3 clubs in Brazilian football that have never been relegated.
I remember we played Cruzeiro in our Centenary match and beat them 4-2.
It was quite a dirty game for a friendly. I think they got a player sent off.

Forster

Brown mcgregor

Edouard.

{Ed007's Note - That's what I was thinking, Leon but maybe McGregor in the ACM and Ntcham next to Brown.}

It was a myth Kev and I have the facts to prove it.
In the 2 seasons Ronnie was the manager, Celtic failed to win 21 league games.
Only 3 times did Celtic pick up extra points with a goal in the last 10 minutes of those games. VVD scored a winner at Pittordrie in the last minute. Griff scored a late winner at home to Partick Thistle and Rogic scored in the last minute at Rugby Park and that was it. No late equalisers in the last 10 minutes over those 2 seasons would suggest if his team were getting beat, then Ronnie didn’t know how to turn it in our favour. Celtic also conceded a few late goals that cost us points over the same period.

If Celtic were going into 20 odd tight league games and we only managed to pick up points in 3 of those games in the last 10 minutes of those matches, that to me would suggest that it was a myth that Ronnie’s Celtic team were fit because they were not fit enough.

Ronnie was a one trick pony and he always set up the same way. Any decent opposition manager knew exactly how Celtic were going to play and they capitalised on his inexperience. It was always a myth that Celtic were a fit team under Ronnie. Even with himself and Collins being fitness fanatics, I always felt we struggled as a team with fitness under Ronnie.

Ronnie done what was expected of him and delivered a couple of league titles and he had a good relationship with the fans. I do agree he was undermined by the board and should have been given more respect. At that time the board wanted a yes man, who wasn’t going to rock the boat until Sevco came into the picture.
Ronnie is a likeable man and I hope he smashes it in NY.

I always laugh when it’s said they played us off the park when Celtic beat them 2-1 with Forrest scoring the winner.
After 60 minutes Sevco had 0 shots at goal.0 shots on target and also 0 corners.
They started playing well after they scored with their first shot at goal in the match, it was their last throw of the dice because they were losing the match and well behind Celtic on points. It’s the least they could try.

Remember Celtic also went down to 10 men due to an injury to Boyata and although Lennon got out of jail because of his terrible substitutions on the day, Celtic still deservedly won the game.
