I don’t what all the fuss is about whether the league is null and void.
We will win the next few leagues at a canter so 10 in a row is not a problem.
Take the high ground.

I really hope I am wrong but I don’t think there’s a hope in hell of the season being completed by the end of June.

2.) 18 Mar 2020 12:30:04
As long as we get in a few games by then and its mathematically impossible to be caught, there's no argument as to who's title it is.

3.) 18 Mar 2020 12:37:32
Kev I've attended 24 out of 30 league games this season which has been a large financial cost after more than 75% played am I just to say fair enough null the season? What would happen if we mathematically won the league but only played 35 games and relegation/ Europe isn't settled do you nullify league?

4.) 18 Mar 2020 14:56:45
Kev according to Sevco fans if it’s declared null and void then they will look on Celtic as stopping at 8 in a row because there will be a gap.
That is the mentality we are up against and it will be the same if we get awarded the title to make it 9 In A Row they won’t acknowledge that either.
You can’t take the high ground with these people because they live in their own wee bubble.

5.) 18 Mar 2020 21:24:42
If the season did get null and void would that also mean the euro results will aswell Surely the sfa won’t want to hinder any chance we have of getting 2 champion league spots back that would totally ruin sevco only realistic chance of the big money .

6.) 25 Mar 2020 17:33:10
Who really cares what sevco think. As long as its in the history books.

7.) 26 Mar 2020 12:11:39
Exactly marco, they won't stop me celebrating, infact it would make it a wee bit sweeter if they never recognised it.

8.) 27 Mar 2020 19:57:01
They were wanting the titles they won during the war to be included even though most teams players were away fighting and their players were in the shipyards.

Wife went shopping bought so much sh#the she was offered the Everton job.

I often wonder how much anyone on these chats actually played football.
Football is not an easy game. Games are meant to be difficult. Opponents do try to compete and beat you. So over the course of the season if you can maintain consistency then you are a top team. What Celtic are doing game on game, year on year is not easy by any means.

Season after season, minimal defeats.
Not easy. People who have played the game appreciate that.

1.) 05 Mar 2020 07:52:13
Good post kev our consistency is incredible even ladt night on a dodgy pitch against a team of hammer throwers we grind out a point . it's not easy.

2.) 05 Mar 2020 07:52:14
Feels like win today. Livingston are becoming a good bogey side.

3.) 05 Mar 2020 07:56:58
Absolutely spot on Kev. Not only do the laptop warriors expect us to win every trophy but expect to win every single game with ease playing outstanding football.

4.) 05 Mar 2020 10:19:00
Spot on keV well said couldn't agree more outstanding consistency and will to win.

5.) 05 Mar 2020 12:08:01
On point Kev 👍 well said mate.

6.) 05 Mar 2020 14:16:25
Hard fought point last night but still should have won with chances missed. As for Taylor one thing for me that really stands out is that he has no pace so can't go past players to get crosses in. All things said 9iar on way hail! hail!

It was only a matter of time. Evening Times Matt Lindsay writing :
“Why the January break is a luxury the SPFL clubs can ill-afford”.
Wonder what is really driving that?

Kev67

1.) 17 Feb 2020 11:55:08
Kev I saw that piece and his defending SPFL over having "no choice" to play Livi game next day because of possible fixture congestion. (We all know Sevco cannot handle games AFTER the winter break, so hey let's cancel it to help Sevco poor Mathew)
A couple of points
Firstly Sevco played ONE GAME LESS in December than Celtic their game in hand should have been played then.
Secondly the "impartial" "random" fixture computer gave us so many away games in January/ February Celtic will have played the potential other top six teams TWICE ALREADY AWAY, to even that up and be fair Celtic would have to get ALL five post split fixtures at HOME, can you see the SPFL sanctioning THAT?
No, me neither.

2.) 17 Feb 2020 12:34:01
TIM I’m paranoid but you make me feel better 👍.

3.) 17 Feb 2020 14:03:08
The balance of home and away was clearly out of whack before the split leaving us with 8 away and 5 home when we returned from the winter break - until the league split and at that point we'll have played a total of 16 home and 17 away; so to even out a 19/ 19 fixture allocation we should have three home games after the split no matter who finishes in the top six. Think that will happen? Wait and see.

4.) 17 Feb 2020 14:58:45
Celtic mad we WILL get 3 home games after split that is one thing they cannot mess us about with, but we will have to play at least one of the other top 5, if not both, 3 times away from home this season.

5.) 17 Feb 2020 19:49:52
We've also seen teams who finish the season in seventh place end up with more points than the sixth placed side. That's why the stupid split is a laughing stock; Tim.

6.) 17 Feb 2020 21:06:25
I have been saying for some time what a complete and pointless waste of time the split is, and for the reason Celtic mad highlighted it benefits no one . All it does is fleece the fans, say having to travel to Dingwall 3times, time it was abolished and put into room 101.

Have said it before on this forum - am not a fan of Julien. For a big guy he gets bossed physically and rattled mentally far too easily. Needs to bulk up to be able to handle physical aspect of the game. Can you imagine a 50:50 between him and Mjallby or Bobo?

Kev67

1.) 02 Feb 2020 14:42:27
Wind your neck in. He’s a fantastic player who scored some really important goals. He can have a blip the odd time fgs.

2.) 02 Feb 2020 14:53:46
You must be watching a different player mate. Sure has chipped in with a few key goals, but as a defender he is judged on his defensive qualities first and foremost - which are not at the required level IMHO.

3.) 02 Feb 2020 15:18:52
He's more of a footballer than a 'stopper' and Ajer is no Bobo either by the way. Probably why CB was an area we needed to add cover. However, the windae's shut noo and as long as Jullien keeps scoring -to make up for any mistakes - then I'm happy enough.

4.) 02 Feb 2020 15:47:21
Celtic has conceded a total of 14 goals this season which demonstrates what a good player Julian his.

{Ed007's Note - It's 15 league goals after today.}

5.) 02 Feb 2020 16:13:00
How many from corners or free kicks. Should always be a man on the post every time.

6.) 02 Feb 2020 16:25:46
He reminds me a bit Kelvin Wilson. Good on the deck and against technical players but gets ruffled up by big cart horses.

01 Feb 2020 13:00:25
Ed - what is your estimate of how much have we removed from the weekly wage bill in the January transfer window - versus the wages for the two boys we have brought in?
Sinclair; Morgan; Kouassi; Hendry out, must be around 60k per week = 3m per year.

Kev67

{Ed007's Note - Remember Kouassi & Hendry are only out on loan and we'll probably still be paying a percentage of their wages so it won't be as much as that, I'd say it'll be nearer £50k off the bill then we have to figure in Klimala & Soro's wages.

22 Jan 2020 09:42:26
Danny Rose on loan from Spurs would be a good option to cover our LB problem. Is on around 60k per week at Spurs. Cover half wages, but would imagine other PL clubs would be interested. Big fall out with Mourinho this week.

IMO he's rotten. Was hyped simply because he is English. Still better than what we have mind you.

Loss of Elhamed has been biggest blow to our back 4. He looked a real Quality player. hopefully we haven’t bought a player who can’t handle the demands to play at this level.

If you put them all together you might have a decent centre back. Am not a Julien fan. Best CB we had was benkovic.

I would trade being 5 points behind Sevco to still be in Europe. Europe is where progress growth and success is measured, not in the central belt of Scotland.
Would you rate Copenhagen any more if they had won the danish league 10 times in a row? .
