Celtic looking to raid Brendan Rogers Leicester City for Kelechi Iheanacho.

Would love that. That boys fantastic talent. Was great at city.

2.) 23 Jul 2019 19:23:43
Let's go full Tonto and dele bashuri while we're at it.

3.) 23 Jul 2019 19:23:47
Bollocks unless it's a loan deal
Leicester bought him for £25m.

4.) 23 Jul 2019 19:48:36
There is no way this will happen unless KT OR CALMAC are part of the deal. Iheanacho would EASILY be wanted by a host of English pub league teams!

5.) 23 Jul 2019 19:52:07
Do not go near him/ them he will want Callum McGregor in ANY Deal.

6.) 23 Jul 2019 20:42:44
Why would Celtic want to do business with them at all?
The temptation for our previous manager to come back in for players is probably only being held in check because of the furious reaction from Celtic supporters to his desertion; so why give Leicester any opportunity at all to gain any leverage or advantage in transfers?

7.) 23 Jul 2019 21:26:52
Meant to mention this earlier, but Griff went out of his way to thank BR for what seems to have been a sort of intervention at a crucial time. Its clear the players--some of them anyway--are still in break-up mode. I put the form down to this to some degree. He was so obviously classy we'll be lucky to see a coach like him again. Time to forgive and move on, for this tim at least.

8.) 23 Jul 2019 22:58:47
I agree with you cavalcanti, it was unfortunate the way Brendan left, but is time to let bygones be bygones, he was a great manager, after picking up the shambles left by the " how to be a manager", manual reading Ronnie, Brendan is a man manager, treats players like people not automatons, why he left?, maybe he got fed up with the sectarian/, political nonsense that still exists in Glasgow, or maybe he wanted to emulate Ranieri, or maybe he wanted more money, does not really matter Celtic are a better club, for Brendan being here, .
But I would not sell Leicester any players unless it's for huge money!

9.) 23 Jul 2019 22:59:59
Re =Cavalcanti : I get the help BR gave LG and it really was crucial to LG, in every sense.

To some extent what he did was worse than Mo Jo:
I may in time come round to your thinking.

As for time to forgive. NOT YET mate NOT YET. If Ever?

10.) 23 Jul 2019 23:59:09
My heart agrees with you Peter, but my head . . . . . LOL.

11.) 24 Jul 2019 00:05:05
I think--to be totally presumptuous--that he felt that he had added to the 'value' of the club as far as he could. To BR, that meant bringing on talent: like CalMac, Forrest, Edouard. Its a strange bourgeois notion of value that doesn't sit well with me, but on those terms, he was a superb manager and he left the club in a position to capitalise on those assets. If we were to sell any of the players that really came on under BR we'd be looking at serious cash--which is game changing for CFC.

Job done? Do you remember Lawell looking scunnerd? Nor do I.

12.) 24 Jul 2019 00:56:28
Forrest already had 5 League winners medals when Rodgers came on the scene. As such, he didn't bring him on.

13.) 24 Jul 2019 06:34:20
sjaldad2018
Forrest has 5 winners medals as a squad player and didn't have 1 good season until BR came in, His game improved a lot under BR.

14.) 24 Jul 2019 08:57:06
Forrest before Rogers was completely inconsistent too often. His final baw was woeful. He always had ability but we never saw it often enough and for me he was the most frustrating player we had.

Rogers was good at improving the players we had. Didn’t quite have the magic touch for most of his projects who almost entirely were utterly rubbish.

Forrest benefitted greatly as his final ball now is a lot better sometimes, his shooting was also pish and that has improved too, but still needs work and why I believe we never receive a bid for him from stronger leagues.

Let’s be brutally honest here 25M for a left back in Scotland is a great offer. KT plays against a bunch of nobody’s. I think we should sell him for that and then £25M spend on improving the squad.

Fkcfc1

1.) 15 Jul 2019 15:48:58
Aye right he's better than most down there foock luke Shaw went for 30 mill so kt should go for than that.

2.) 15 Jul 2019 15:54:14
So many people saying sell KT for 25mill or sell ON for 15 mill then spend that on improving the squad, that’s all good n well but when did Celtic fc last spend all the incoming money from sales on the first team?

3.) 15 Jul 2019 17:36:17
Well Pete they have had bids of 17.5 million accepted this window.

Too many hung up on transfer fees wages are the issue get rid of the deadwood increase wage cap opens up different doors.
Some of the dross regarding kt if he’s a Celtic man should stay for ten is unbelievable said it many times he should go and show them all how good he is.
We have some good young bhoys coming through kt is the perfect example of what they could achieve. We as a club are limited to what we can achieve and are having a right good time of it but we shouldn’t hold back players with that kind of potential as long as we are rewarded which with Lawell at the helm that’s a given.

6.) 15 Jul 2019 20:33:01
Agree welshy, whether some people like it our not Celtic are a stepping stone for many players. Instead of taking the hump about it we should embrace the talent when it’s here and supporting them when they leave. This way we can continue to attract good players.
Celtic is a unique club and the more talented players out there bigging up celtic the better for our club.
What I don’t like is when players spit the dummy and get too big for their boots. The obvious example is KT and Ntcham. One knows he will get his move and goes about his business with dignity the other seems to think he’s too good for us, when in fact he never kicked a ball for us last season (in my opinion) . And for the record I think he is a real talent.
I hate it by Celtic are a big club in a small pond and most players want to play for a big club in a big pond therefore we will always struggle to keep the real class players. We all hope KT stays, but I actually hope he leaves becomes the best LB in the world and walks back into Celtic on a Bosman when he’s 29.
