Ronny didn't want him around, for a few reasons, and got nothing but abuse for it, by fans, but especially the press who would back him up at every turn. On that super scoreboard they were relentless, every night we were told Commons was the best player in the team (aye right) now we have a new manager who doesn't fancy him either and he's getting to pick him now. On the one hand we all love Brendan Rodgers but it's a fault if he doesn't rate a player many of us saw through ages ago, and who he also sees train every day! Does Rodgers know the game or not? We also have the same fans raving away about Rogic, Christie, and especially Scott Allan getting a game when they all play in the same position. Bizarre!

{Ed007's Note - Is anyone surprised that Radio Snyde (where Keevins works) would be bigging up Commons? Kris has earned that kind of backing from them over the last 5 years.}

Commons is the biggest panty wetter at the club, that's the whole point. There was even a guy on Twitter a couple of days ago saying Brendan Rodgers was a disgrace of a manager for not putting Kris Commons in the Champions League squad. Guys like that are an embarrassment, plain and simple, and there's no point even dealing with them. We finally have a manager who will make brave decisions, decisions that many fans wanted taken ages ago. It's not about what a player did 2 years ago in the SPL. He didn't think twice about dropping guys like Gerrard and Carragher, that's how it should be at big clubs. Commons took a liberty with Ronny, he wouldn't have done that under Brendan, and it wasn't just the Molde game, like Ed has touched on he has been at it for years. He's not as good as he thinks he is, he's never been rated in England. Kris Boyd has scored 3 times as many goals as him in the SPL, so what does that mean, well it doesn't really mean anything other than stats mean fvck-all. He never passes, only thinks about getting a shot off and obviously getting the glory, is unfit, never lasts a full 90 mins, and has never really been rated except by some Celtic fans, many are blinkered though because he plays them with all the PR. It was these fans that ultimately forced Deila/ Lawwell into giving him a new contract worth around 18k a week, that's more than £3 million we would have been as well throwing out the window because he's not done a thing since. Even the goal he scored at Hampden against the other mob, that's all he did in that game, he was awful and sure enough was hooked!

It's easy to say put it behind you, - Ronny Deila, and ultimately the fans/ team were the ones to suffer. It's Commons' way or the highway, the only difference is he's now got a manager who won't put up with his crap. He's done nothing for a year and a half and according to his best pal Hugh Keevins (which sums him up and tells us everything we need to know about his character) he's lost a stone and a half in weight - that's awful good of him. Why should Brendan get a thinner player than Ronny? Anyway he was on Celtic TV training about 10 days ago and still looked well unfit, and overweight. I'm not into the Gym personally but the boys I know that are look twice as fit as him. Tell me this - he's been out of contract a few times, and was obviously available on a free or for a nominal fee in Jan, - why is nobody ever interested in Kris Commons? Well apart from your token Lennon at Hibs and Stubbs at Rotheram!

Skinnybhoy's in his mid 60's - he's just retired, and because he's bored he's noising all us up! Well that's what my source told me, I'll try and get round all my contacts over the next few hours, if I'm wrong and he is a kid then apologies Gordo, and your good self Skinny!

Snodgrass is on a Bosman in Jan. Me and a few mates have been talking about this for a while, it will definitely be the best chance to get him at a good age. Even if we gave him a signing on fee, he's on a decent wage at Hull, we all know though that he's a big Celtic man and would like to play for the club one day, it's just a matter of whether he feels he owes Hull a bit of loyalty after missing more than a year after getting that bad injury on his debut. Also if he keeps playing well other clubs might give him a crazy offer. It's now or never though -he's 28/ 29 and in his prime. I don't want to be getting him in 4 years after he's signed a contract elsewhere. I agree about Morrison, no more than decent and incredibly on around 70k per week. Bannan was brilliant the other night, he's never a winger and suits that deep playmaker role in the middle, he's another we could have got for buttons a year ago. It's all about timing.

I think last night told us what we already knew - we need a bit of experience, and a few players of real quality who will walk straight into the team. In Malmo last year hardly a player got pass marks, last night if we hadn't had Toure we'd probably have went out. As for Odegaard - he get's better every week he doesn't play.
