With young Hazard heading out on loan do you think we will see any more departures and more importantly any new arrivals in the coming week.

DD 81

1.) 25 Jan 2018 08:07:57
Who have we loaned him to mate? Have high hopes for this young lad.

2.) 25 Jan 2018 08:13:44
Heading to falkirk.

3.) 25 Jan 2018 08:35:10
This is a good move for him, Falkirk 2nd bottom of the Championship so under a bit of pressure although their form has improved recently. Similar to Ajer when at Kilmarnock i'm sure we would have been given assurances that he is going to be playing regularly. Good luck to him i hope he is our future No 1.

4.) 25 Jan 2018 09:45:03
Reports saying the young left back Gallagher could be heading to Liverpool would have thought he'd have been worth signing as cover for kieran.

5.) 25 Jan 2018 10:41:59
At £200,000 the young left back could have been cheap back up for Tierney. I would imagine celtic have looked at him and don't fancy him.

6.) 25 Jan 2018 10:43:03
Supposed to be going to Falkirk Tompo.

7.) 25 Jan 2018 10:58:23
Liverpool must see something we don't strange one for me at that price there's no gamble.

8.) 25 Jan 2018 11:55:43
Cheers lads and agree if he is number 1 will be a good move.

9.) 25 Jan 2018 12:38:25
I've got a feeling they are trying to tie up PR on long term deal we have the dilemma that he's been injured and for us to get creative player in would be hard so why not go get the creative player we have in why not make it permanent what do use think EDs?

{Ed007's Note - Nothing will happen with Roberts this window.}

10.) 25 Jan 2018 13:03:35
So after BR talking they are trying to bring in creative player? I know it's only Sutton but he was asked about what he thought of Celtics transfer dealing and was he surprised at what activities they have done or not done? It wasn't just the answer it was the way he answered it like he has heard something he sort of smiled and said don't be too judgmental think we should wait and c they may pull a couple of rabbits out the hat you never know?

Calvin Miller away to Dundee on loan. I hope he gets a lot of game time in his prefered position in left mid as any time I have seen him he isn't comfortable at lb. He was supposed to be one of the best midfielders in the world for his age group a few years ago so hopefully he can showcase that.

DD 81

1.) 31 Aug 2018 14:19:58
Dd81 if Rogers wants him at LB that will probably be in the loan deal.
That is what we done with ajer.

2.) 31 Aug 2018 15:51:42
If he is made our left back then we are truly fecked. He is nowhere near good enough, even in his natural position. He’s a Dundee level player. The type the Academy churn out in droves year after feckin year.

30 Aug 2018 23:37:11
I think we will see more outs than ins tomorrow as we have a number of players who will get nowhere near the first team. If we keep Dembele and Boyata as well as adding Mulumbu and Benkovic then i think we are in not bad shape. I would like a RB as i think Lustig is done but i don't think there will be any more additions other than the 2 above.

DD 81

1.) 31 Aug 2018 00:03:54
Totally agree DD81, trim the squad and a RB would be excellent.

2.) 31 Aug 2018 00:54:37
I think the Fembele move is still on. If club get upwards of £20mill. I think Moussa has hamstring problems that won't go awsy and he does not want to be here so an unhappy Moussa. If hamstrings go again we won't get £20mill next time. Another unhappy player alongside Boyata. Let both go.

3.) 31 Aug 2018 06:10:07
Totally agree, whilst everyone would love dembele to stay it’s clear the lad wants to go. I can see Brendan’s point regarding us needing a quality replacement for him but what happens now is looking like us having 2 unhappy first team players ( boyata and dembele) the thing is dembele must realise celtics position though as it’s not as if we’ve weeks to get a replacement for him. If he doesn’t go by tonight then one things for sure is that his time has come to move on so we must actively look to replace him and let the boy move in January/ next summer. £20 million plus for a guy we bought for less than £500 grand plus has countless problems with his hamstrings is good money in my book. If he’s still here come Saturday morning could an option be to give him a new vastly improved contract? Give him a good wage rise, add a couple of years to his current deal and safeguard us for maximising a future fee? If he stays we’ve got to have a happy dembele not a dembele that’s face is tripping him, and also guarantee that come January/ next summer a bid that Celtic find acceptable, the player finds acceptable then he must be allowed to move.

4.) 31 Aug 2018 06:46:47
I don't agree with this crap about unhappy players, I mean these guy's are highly paid professional players who earn vast amounts of money that are under contract so should be professional and get on with it. Knuckle down do the damage and get their moves in a few months.
I'll tell you what makes me unhappy is going to work for £700 quid a week and paying out a fair chunk of that to go and watch a lot of these guy's moan about the money they make or the games they have to play, some of them need a fecking reality check I tell you!
💚🍀 HJ.

5.) 31 Aug 2018 06:49:00
I think that agreement will already be in place when he signed his first contract. We should already have strikers scouted just incase he leaves, is that not what big clubs do?

6.) 31 Aug 2018 07:35:51
I think we should let him go as long as we maximise the fee where possible. He has done well for us for 2 years and he wants to go. An unhappy employee of any business is never going to give his best effort. Doesn't matter if they're a chicken plucker or a brain surgeon. Unfortunately he is injury prone too and can't seem to find any consistency in starting games.
Imagine this, you're in a job and you have a fantastic offer from another company and your boss has told you that you can't leave even though when you started with them you were told you could go when you have more experience. What are you going to do? Are you going to continue to turn up on time and give everything you have with a big smile on your face? Unlikely, isn't it?
So the problem isn't with Moussa, the problem (yet again) is with Congerton, the board and possibly BR for not seeing this problem and taking preventative action before it became an issue. As as been said by a few of you before, our scouting network is definitely 3rd rate at best. They have sat on their arses doing fekk all at a time when they should have been delivering their best ever results.

HH.

7.) 31 Aug 2018 08:04:27
Bob it wouldn't surprise me now if he ran his contract down. He's been lied to by someone, either Rodgers or the board.

8.) 31 Aug 2018 09:02:23
It definitely seem that was Stephbhoy2 from the posts dembele has been putting up. One about being told lies for example. As good as he is l don't see the point in not accepting the money when we would have all read that in time Celtic would not stand in his way if a big move came in. Celtic can t afford another nightmare problem with a player and in dembele case can definitely not allow his contract to run out and him go for nothing. Time to take the money lm afraid.

With the pfa poty award shortlist just being published and our own awards the other night I am amazed that one player who seems to be so under rated, even by our own fans at times, never gets quoted. Callum McGregor has been consistent across many positions this season and has scored some wonderful and important goals. I have been really impressed with him this season but he seems to be missed when award season is underway.

DD 81

{Ed007's Note - I'd have had McGregor well in front of Forrest. It's unbelievable that Forrest has got in there with a good first half of the season - how can a Celtic winger that hasn't scored a league goal this year be up for POTY?}

1.) 26 Apr 2018 17:36:23
I think a lot of the Forrest hype has come from the performance against Bayern tbh. He had a good run at the end of last year but he’s been off it recently.

2.) 26 Apr 2018 17:45:31
I have to agree. Bar Brown, McGregor has impressed me the most this season. Like you say DD played several roles this season and has been consistently one of our better players. Sorry, but I have no idea how Forrest is on the list.

{Ed007's Note - I said at the start of the season after his European performances that I was going to lay off Forrest this season but he's had a very poor second half of the season and is back to the Forrest we've seen every year.
Scott Sinclair gets pelters for his poor form but Forrest must be up there alongside him for his form since the turn of the year.}

3.) 26 Apr 2018 17:47:52
I agree he has done very little since his hat-trick against Thistle in the cup - when that should have given him a real boost for the run-in - but could he have been nominated around that time as I have a feeling the nominations are made several weeks ago?
Nonetheless, it's great to have two in contention and Broony more than deserves it - like he did last season and was strangely ommitted.

4.) 26 Apr 2018 19:48:55
Only two players who have been consistent all season are broony and Tiereny. Calmac has had his moments but i don't think he's been anywhere near consistent enough, on par with Forrest this season. We really need paddy signed this summer, I hope he starts getting a game now and Forrest has been off the boil for weeks now.

5.) 26 Apr 2018 20:32:40
The dip in form from Forrest seemed to coincide with Patrick Roberts and Hayes getting injured.
It seems to me that if Forrest thinks his place is under threat he ups his game, but when he knows his position is safe he gets lazy.

6.) 26 Apr 2018 21:54:50
I hope McGregor is rewarded with a long term deal it would be well deserved. I think he can become one our most important players over the next couple of seasons.

7.) 26 Apr 2018 22:13:18
Can't disagree with that gerry. Maybe sinclair could do with serious competition too, he's not got the same swagger about him even though his stats are good. Hopefully he gets it back soon, with masunda and Morgan breathing down his neck that might do the trick.

8.) 27 Apr 2018 00:01:47
I can't figure McGregor for player of the year but he has come to the fore in a major way. Great to see he is admired. Definitely played well in key games for us this year so if that's a criterion I think its a fair call.

What about David Marshall? With Wigan just entering administration he could be available for not a lot of money.

I think it just shows how much the media are guessing at what is going on at our club. I expect to see one of them in before the end of the month. Its frustrating that we leave it so late but hopefully we can get a few in.

I might be being cynical but with 9 in a row, Moi re-signing and the Adidas deal maybe there was too much positivity for some journalists and this was a way to spread some misery around our support.

Arzani is no 14 and still a celtic player so don't think Burke will get that number. I also wouldn't burden a new, young signing with the no 7 although mostly duds have worn it recently. No 7 should be aspirational, develop and play well for a couple of seasons and earn the iconic jersey otherwise we risk cheapining it.

DRB, i actually quite like McLean as a player and think he is quite under rated. Another winger i like is Adama Traore at Boro.
