Been reading a lot how much we missed Giakoumakis against rangers, and I completely agree, with most people saying the same thing does that mean people are thinking he's are number one striker now and kyogo will be on the bench, nothing in the season so far has Ange done anything to think we'll play two up top so whose going to be leading the line, goal scorers need runs off games for consistency and confidence so don't think chopping and changing them wil work, what a dilemma to have.

1.) 22 Apr 2022 19:54:52
I think we had to change style and personnel during Kyogo's absence and fortunately the run of games, gave GG the confidence to shine. Kyogo was red hot before his injury and virtually won the league cup. But GG is a totally different type of player and we can also alternate Abada, Maeda, Jota and Forrest. So it's great to have this variety, when all are fully fit. It's a bit like when we had Larsson, Hartson and Sutton in our squad and that worked well enough.

Absolutely brilliant from the green brigade today at training, that will surely give the players a massive lift, win, lose or draw, what Ange, the coaches and the players have done so far this season is unreal, to be where we are after the season we had last year is nothin short of incredible, let's get the 3 points an everyone can enjoy ther Sunday,

1.) 03 Apr 2022 07:28:36
Wasn't the Green Brigade it was the Boys. Agree it was class.

2.) 03 Apr 2022 08:13:45
Sorry auf, read somewher was green brigade,

Is the b team game on Celtic TV?

1.) 19 Mar 2022 13:39:19
They are getting humped by the sevs.

2.) 19 Mar 2022 13:55:05
Yep give it a miss sevco scored in 15secs.

14 Mar 2022 23:27:11
Only seen the last 15, what was the reason hatate got hooked for.

{Ed007's Note - I know Beaton's a bit of an iffy ref but I don't think even he would have missed a player getting hooked. There was some meaty challenges but no punches thrown.}

Just to get away from the other night, just want people's opinion, if this squad was going into next season, which one position would you go out and strengthen, for me it has to be left back, Taylor gives his all and I'll never put some one down who trys his best because that's all they can do but you notice the difference between what juranovic offers to what Taylor offers, just want to see other people's views.

1.) 19 Feb 2022 12:41:40
I would go for a quality defensive midfielder.

2.) 19 Feb 2022 13:09:59
Left back or centre back we concede too many goals in Europe.

3.) 19 Feb 2022 13:25:25
Assuming we kept the current first team squad together and got rid of the dead wood; Maybe a goalkeeper, left back and a player with bite and strength in the midfield where we have plenty ball-players.
Also hoping to see James Forrest getting back to form as we are short of quality cover in the wide areas and MJ doesn't seem to fit?

4.) 19 Feb 2022 13:29:52
I believe we have Celtic quality all over the pitch but I think Thursday showed we could improve at left back.

5.) 19 Feb 2022 14:19:43
Left Back. upgrades on MJ and JF
A physical presence in midfield.

6.) 19 Feb 2022 14:29:24
Taylor is OK domestically but we need a strong quick powerful lb it's a must.

7.) 19 Feb 2022 15:52:56
Good replays lads, don't think we're that far away, couple additions and certainly a lot out the door, massive we keep Jota and ccv, 2 players that can make make the transfer window, keep them then window a bit easier but if there away then window certainly a lot harder.

8.) 19 Feb 2022 16:12:31
Gk Hart good presence but would like quality to challenge him. Won't happen with Bain signing a new deal.

Rb JJ is immense with good back up in Ralston.

CH CVC singing who knows. So we should be actively working on his replacement. Sell Julien and buy another CH

Lb Celtics weakest position. A must buy position.

Lw Abbada needs quality competition. Forrest sadly time is up

Cm Is the players we brought In good enough. Time will tell. Probably need improved

Rw Jota same as CVC. Wee Johnston looks broken. Needs strength in here.

CF Injury free Kyogo and we are OK. GG/ Madadea jury out

About 8 players pick up a salary that don't contribute anything. Moving them on would be a bonus to the continuing rebuild.

Forest, Julian, Rogic, Bolingoli and Bitton. Have a year left on their contacts in the summer. Would sell them all.

9.) 19 Feb 2022 17:32:33
Goal scoring centre half for me another dozen corners Thursday night and hee haw as always.

10.) 19 Feb 2022 21:26:36
As you say you don't want to put the lad down as he gives his all but he had a bit of a mare Thursday. Not his fault think Scales would've struggled too against them, he is handy enough cover domestically but that is an area we can add quality too. Another winger too with both being good at crossing. But need someone in there that can attack the balls and put them away or maybe extra drills on set pieces would be beneficial as we don't take advantage enough with them.

11.) 19 Feb 2022 22:05:04
Hickey and Ferguson would be 2 really good signings for us.

{Ed007's Note - It will be a travesty if Celtic aren't at least offering Ferguson the option of joining us.}

12.) 19 Feb 2022 22:31:51
If we could get a player who could exploit corners for us then I don't mind where he plays.

A Paul Elliot type (or a Stubbs! ) would have me totally cheesing.

Just don't no how we can keep 3 forwards happy, we only play one up top, I understand that we can have injury's but wat happens if we have none, one off the forwards won't be playing a lot off football, suppose that's why Ange is at the helm and am having a packet of squares for ma breakfast after a Nightshift, can't wait for next season already.

Unless you no the laddie personally think it's unfair to say it's just about money, he might have a lot of confidence and think if he works hard he will get ther one day, I say good luck to him, we move on, too many boohoo men, didn't sign for my football club so must be chasing money, lost a few young players in the last few years and it's incredible ther all chasing money, damn money greedy kids.

Are bench would walk into any side minus rangers in the spfl, the Celtic team and management get a lot off praise when everything is going great, and rightly so but when things are getting tough they have to take criticism, the football has slowed down and feel we are making it easy for teams to just sit in, my opinion I would maybe move calmac further forward and try biton in there, need someone who can cut open defences and rogic is off the boil, I don't no the answer but something needs tweeking.

Maedainparadise, I get that they could be tired after a full season but should the manager not see that and start thinking these guys need a break.

Wish the laddie all the best but I would never have gave him a first team appearance until he singed a full time contract, same with karamoko, unles he wants to sign a deal just leave him in the 23s.

I could b wrong but weren't Celtic looking at bazunu before he went to man city.

{Ed037's Note - your right Cmc, when Bezunu was at Shamrock Rovers, Celtic thought that they had him signed up. But at the last minute Man City came in and snapped him from under Celtic’s nose. In the end it was what Man City presented to the player. A proper plan development and pathway to the first team. What Celtic offered simply wasn't good enough as we all now our youth academy at the time was a shambles. Unfortunately Celtic have missed their chance to sign Bezunu I'm afraid. City have appointed Irish coach and former Rochdale manager Brian Barry Murphy as Head of elite development squad. Having brought Bezunu to Rochdale I'd imagine he'd want to keep him. But if Bezunu wants to retain the Irish No 1 Jersey, he will have to be playing regular first team football as under 23s at Man City isn't going to help him. I expect him to go out on loan again next season as Man City see him as their future No1 goalkeeper. A fabulous goalkeeper but not at Celtic.

{Ed037's Note - no your not wrong Cmc, when Bezunu was at Shamrock Rovers Celtic thought they had him signed up. But Man City came in at the last minute and swiped him from under the nose of Celtic. What happened with this deal, simple Man City had a plan for Bezunu and Celtic had nothing concrete in front of him. Man City have now appointed Irish coach and former Rochdale Manager Brain-Barry Murphy as head of elite development squad and development. Murphy brought Bezunu to Rochdale last season and I presume he will be keen on keeping him at Man City next season. But if Bezunu wants to retain the Irish No1 Jersey next season playing under 23s at Man City isn't going to help him. Only last week he said now he's got a taste for first team football and wants to be playing more regularly I'd expect him to go out on loan next season. I can't see Man City selling him

Tinytim, we win on Sunday the league is over, we could get beat the remaining 3 games and we will still win the league, Sunday will be tough, they no if the beat us it's certainly not over, hate to say it but I'd be happy with a point, if we put the fight in to go with the ability of the players we wil be fine.

Vin1 I replied to different thread about this, am glad man city went threw because can't stand athletico or simeone but foden clearly off this pitch before trying to roll back on, cheating in my eyes.
