Just wanted to add that in my opinion which has been made due to the lack of Transfer Activiy is this! (and hate saying it! )
When Rodgers does leave it'll be because the Board's ambition does not go into CL last 16!. The Board yeah want the League obviously and then gamble on Qualifying to Group Stages BUT our Manager wants to go to the next level (evolve) and having a Team that can get us to last 16 is the next obvious progession and Rodgers is that level of Manager! Surely the Board would know this and in my mind had the Fees ready to hand over come end of Season especially when Dembelle looks to be away AND a poss 20-30m coming in.
The Board MUST HAVE the finances and Rodgers will know this hence a matter of time before a clash of youve got it, I got it for you so now GIV ME more than some of IT!
Thoughts and WILL IT HAPPEN?

Ok anton who should we buy? Obviously Brendan and the board are not wanting to take the club forward I don't see names or should I say realistic names who would walk into our team utter shti, I'm getting sick of this we should be buying this isn't good enough for our team WE WENT THROUGH A SEASON UNBEATEN, it's hard to surpass that I'm waiting on Brendan must go! Get back to realality.

Getting fed up with it all! gb getting picked on as I've said they bring a lot of good but u can't give them a free ride do what u want. i give to their food banks I join in with songs but I know where to toe the line! Or do we let them do what they want?

Dam right jamesbhoy67 Rodgers is being sold short by the board. And if we don't get past Rosenberg digibanger we still have to play a round to get into the Europa Group!
The Board's thinking will change via how much Rodgers gets depending on situation. We must get past R. berg and the Board MUST spend to bring in 1/ 2 top Players but still doesn't giv much time to bed in.
Worst case scenario Rodgers gives press conference insinuating things would have been different if certain powers held up their end of deal when he decided to join.

So if it does go Pete Tong in Norway then what does it come down to regarding the Squad?
DID Rodgers say to the Board "its all good, no need to invest atm as we have a Team that'll Qualify"
BUT go and buy Hayes then after 2/ 3 wks bring in Nitcham! Timing seems F@#@ed! Squad should have been strengthened by 7/ 8m within first 3 weeks! Hate to say it but where will the blame lay and will Rodgers explain what went wrong IF ANYTHING DID! With the reqruitment process?
Just seems like the route to the CL was not taken as seriously as it should!

Think its strange the way Champions League games are structured, the back to back games I'm talking about! Is it just me or does anyone else think the same?

Absolutely agree Oscar161. If we end up in Europa then Dembelle will go Roberts will go to bottom half of EPL and the board will give Brendan money to spend BUT HOW MUCH?
imo could see Rodgers given a Transfer Kitty of around 10m.
Bare in mind we need to replace MD and bring in another PR. A Centre Half needed also!
To me that's our 10m spent outwith any Players Rodgers has an eye for in the 500k bracket + any loans BR has up his sleeve from top sides in EPL.

Why would he go out on loan and miss out on near enough trebling his wages unless City are adamant that they want him to stay under their Contract and like u say Jim Tim see how he drvelops out on loan. They don't exactly need the Transfer Money!
Best outcome for us I think. He still has a few yrs left on his Contract (I think? )
BUT he may want to see a bigger wage instead of waiting another year which means a Transfer.

If I were City I would have been in contact by now, in fact I'm SURE that City would have informed all interested parties there intentions.
If selling, Clubs submit bids, poss negotiate then allow talks with Player (Agent)
If Fee was accepted from more than 1 Club, obviously it just comes down to WAGES. Or he's waiting until total Qualification to CL!

IMO the Transfer Money is there BUT will Roberts come for 30-35k a week when Huddersfield and teams alike can offer 60-70k if they really want him!
Do we want and should we make a guy his age one of, or the highest earner and what amount should we go to? (REALLY)
Does it hinge on CL? Will Roberts want to come if its the Europa?
This is basically a 20m game SO will the Board still be good to part with 8m up to 12m if we lose out on 20m (minimum)
Roberts IS a class Player BUT for that fee and wages the options are vast!
Thing is if we had the money early on then WHY! didn't we push this deal through!
IMO and I hate to say it but the board gambled on getting through the qualifiers with no hitches! Then talk of the strength of the Team would not have been raised!
What puzzles me is why Rodgers didn't bring in 1-2 CL Players early on, Experienced Pros that would have seriously strengthened Squad on top of Hayes etc (MONEY IS THERE! )
